I have enjoyed every Tijan book I’ve ever come across, and this is no exception.
The only difference honestly is that there are others that I enjoyed more.
A key factor in every Tijan book is all the moving parts, and I find if you look away for even a moment, you’ll miss a detail and things will be fuzzy for awhile.
This is the case here, I felt like I had missed something that was preventing me from seeing the bigger picture.
Brady is loved and adored by most, popular and easygoing. Rayna doesn’t have those same luxuries, and is kept very sheltered by her best friend.
Honestly the translation from friends to more happened like someone flipped a light switch, and it didn’t seem like anyone knew what to do with those feelings or how to process the change.
I did enjoy their characters overall, and I would recommend the read.
A Coming Of Age, Angsty Romance!
Brady Remington Landed Me in Jail
This is an often angst & anger filled romance, although the anger wasn’t really pointed at each other. Brady & Rayna are best friends, they’re very different on the surface, but get each other on a deep level.
I found this book fascinating & really enjoyable.

A lovely read!
When he tries to do the right thing by both of them, neither could’ve foreseen what secrets their decisions would’ve exposed…
Oh man, the author does it again and stuns me! I loved how everything was played out and that all the secrets were exposed (though for a minute there – okay, more than a minute – I was afraid) and finally everything was out in the open. Then it ended and now I’m so sad. I want an epilogue at least.
Brilliant writing that sinks its teeth into you. Lord, was I hooked on this characters and characters especially the heroine’s grandparents!
Full of friends, family, drama, secrets, mystery and romance.
Perfect for readers of contemporary romances.
Okay Tijan, I swear when you sit down to write–magic just flows from your fingers!!!
So, the beginning of this book started off a little rough for me HOWEVER, I totally trust this author to pull me through. I have not read a book from Tijan that I did not like. The only way to describe this book is like driving in heavy fog—you can see just enough ahead of you to continue moving. The beginning you feel like your in a heavy fog and the more you continue to read, the fog slowly (oh so slowly) starts to lift. At the end, everything is clear and you have a complete understanding of everything. With that said, for all of you readers who haven’t read this book OR have started the first few chapters and feel like your totally confused–KEEP READING!!!
I will say, I know a lot of readers weren’t sure how to feel about Clarissa–I will be honest, I did not like her. I feel like she is one of the lethal girls–she befriends you and is sweet to get what she wants BUT when things don’t go her way or she feels jealous (because shes totally in love with Brady) she knows how to stick the knife in. I did NOT like her relationship with Brady, if I were Ray I would have not been okay with Clarissa and I honestly wish she had less of a presents in the story beyond an old fling of Brady’s….granted I am a jealous and BACK AWAY FROM MY MAN type…
At the beginning, it wasn’t 100% clear about Brady’s feelings for Ray. I could clearly see they meant a lot to one another and I felt like he was in love with her but there were times I questioned his love for her. I think having his POV at the beginning would have totally clarified that for the reader but AGAIN, you do finally get his POV at the VERY end and everything becomes totally clear….
Overall, I really enjoyed this book!!!!
