Top 5 reasons I should stay away from Crispin Dalton:1. He’s been bullying me since the day I started at Wildwood Academy, the prestigious high school for young elites2. He’s the kind of jerk who thinks liking a girl means tugging on her hair (seriously, is this first grade?)3. There’s a scandal tying our families together in the most awful way, and his whole family hates me because of it4. He’s … hates me because of it
4. He’s so far out of my league, he might as well be wearing a sign that says ‘Don’t look, touch or fantasize about me… or else’
5. He’s kind of, sort of, dating my best friend…
We’ve come a long way since being co-stars on my TV show. The boy I used to crush on obsessively isn’t the nice guy anymore.
No, he’s the mean, cruel, evil bully who’s dead set on ruining my life. And to top it all off, he’s more off-limits than he ever has been.
So, obviously, I shouldn’t be crushing on Crispin, because he isn’t the boy he used to be.
No, no, no… he’s even hotter now.
And as it turns out, little old me can’t resist a bully with a heart of gold.
This is a full-length novel, part of the Lords of Wildwood series. Can be read as a standalone.

Crispen and Tinsley met as child actors.
Drama between their families unfold pitting them against one another.
Later on they end up at the same High school…
Tentions are high.
There’s everything that you would expect from being a high school student in their story.
The question is, will they be able to overcome the odds that are stacked against them?

I did enjoy this book, but I also had some issues. Tinsley, oh how she made me want to throw my kindle across the room! I don’t know how many times I wanted to yell at her to open her eyes! She continuously ignored what peoples’ true intentions were. Crispin, I didn’t get why he would fall for Estella telling him the only way to get the girl was to be mean. I wish he was the bully going into the book instead of being talked into being one. There was enough drama between the families that I would have understood why he would have been mean to her just because of what happened. I did like the push and pull between Tinsley and Crispin. The double POV was very helpful in being able to understand both sides of the story, and liking Crispin faster. Plus, once we got past the bullying Crispin was all in and protective, and I loved their chemistry! Estella’s story is next and I’m super curious to see what’s going to happen. Even though this was just Tinsley and Crispin’s story, there is still a story line that will continue. Excited to see what’s to come!
I had read several pieces of this book and was very curious about the whole story. I’m actually a bit disappointed when reading it. I thought it was more like a highschool sweetheart story.
I did read the book but was left with many questions. It is a shame that a lot of controversy was cited but hardly worked out.
The story of Crispin and Tinsley is a sweet story in which Crispin does not dare to give in to the attraction he feels for Tinsley. I had hoped that the character of Tinsley would come to the fore more but I think the writer puts her too much into a victim role
Even though the book wasn’t what I expected, it makes me wonder what else comes out of this series. As said, I was left with many questions and I think that these stories will be answered in books to come

I honestly went in blind for this book because every book that this author makes is amazing so I didnt even read the blurb, once I started reading I was hooked WOW Crispin and Tansley they were just such a powerful couple to read, this story is full of angst, forbidden love, betrayal, but in the end this book is filled with love. I really enjoyed reading this one!! It was just an amazing story with amazing characters I just loved this book cant wait until Estella’s story!!
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I really liked getting a chance to explore a new author. This book didn’t disappoint, I really enjoyed reading this book, not so much the subject matter, because I really don’t like bully’s, but none the less, I was drawn into this story. Crispin, and Tinsley have a complicated, and tormented relationship. This book was emotional, suspenseful, mysterious, twisted, and sexy. This is a must read.

So, it’s true! Girls can’t resist those Boys that Tease. Betti Rosewood has done a phenomenal job with book one of the Lords of Wildwood series. The list of characters, their personalities, and their interactions are fabulous. It really gave me a Gossip Girl feel with all the secrets, backstabbing, flirtatiousness, and rich-kid problems. I loved how the author keeps a veil of mystery throughout the book and she never really reveals all. I suspect we’ll find out more as the series continues, but she does not leave us in a cliff hanger situation.
The heroine, Tinsley Sullivan, is affected by the childhood stardom and public scrutiny. Tinsley is a very relatable character. High school is a mean place and many people will relate with the drama that unfolds for Tinsley when she tries to have the real high school experience after years of celebrity status and tutors. When scandal rocks her world, she turns to her friends for support but she soon finds out who her friends really are – or does she?
“Why are you so mean to me?”
“Because you… you wouldn’t have liked me if I was a nice guy…. Good girls only like bad boys.”
Crispin Dalton–the boy who teases, the boy who redeems himself. Love struck and left wanting, he doesn’t know what to do with those feelings, so naturally he turns to what boys do best and starts to annoy Tinsley any way he can. Does teasing the one you love really work? When does the teaser turn into the bully or are they one and the same?
“My real queen tonight is more real, more honest, and more beautiful than anyone else standing on this stage. And I love her.”
I always wait with bated breath for “the first time” scene—the first kiss, their first time together. For me, it sets the tone for the perfect love story and Betti nailed this one. The first time could not have been more perfect. The love that Tinsley and Crispin share, the love that they’ve felt for so long and held out hope for. I was so impressed with Crispin at this moment. Everyone should be so lucky as to have the first-time experience the Tinsley and Crispin get to share. It is filled with tender sweetness with steam rolling off. She left me panting with eyes agape falling for the bad boy.
I’d waited eighteen years. I’d held onto this for him. “Take it,” I whispered.
“Take what, crybaby?”
My fingers trembled as I wrapped them around his girth. He inhaled sharply as I pushed him between my lips, deeper until he met resistance.
“This.” I managed to speak loudly enough for him to hear me. “Take it, it’s yours.”
With a groan, he thrust only once, but it was enough.
Boys That Tease is about so much more than what the title suggests. Teenagers coming of age in our modern world where social media is rampant, the innocence and preciousness of first love, the trauma both mentally and physically some people endure and survive as best they can. Times have changed and growing up is so much harder. Betti has really blown me away with every nuance of this book. Not only did my heart bleed with empathy, it also beamed with pride and love for the characters. I can’t wait to read more in this series, even if I don’t like all the characters. Our lives are not only filled with people we love. We all have bullies to deal with, but if we remember that bullies have their own struggles, it will be interesting to get inside their world and see what makes them tick, what have they had to endure and survive behind the closed doors that we don’t see.
This is a debut novel, and I thought that it was such a great one to start off the series.
Tinsley and Crispin knew each other from the set, and you can tell they both have feelings for each other. Then after circumstances beyond their control, they are pushed apart and struggling to keep their true feelings unknown.
Tinsley was such a loyal, innocent character. She always saw the best in everyone and wanted everyone to feel included. She never held grudges even if they were warranted and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt.
Crispin was harder to connect to throughout the book. His emotions and actions were very back and forth. One minute he was in love and the next he hated her. Then he would say something, but act in the complete opposite way. I could never pinpoint his true intentions.
I thought that the slow burn, the angst, and storyline made this book a good debut. However, there were a few missing pieces that I believe would have made the book stand out more.
The book introduces the mysterious Lords of Wildwood and it alludes to a missing student and their involvement. However, we only get glimpses of this plot. Nothing is given in detail, and the members are not all mentioned by name. Neither is the reasoning as to why it is important to the story. I feel like this storyline and the characters surrounding it was a missed opportunity. I wanted to know more. I’m hoping that we get to understand the true meaning behind this group of boys and the suspense that surrounds their behavior in the next books.

Boy’s That Tease by Betti Rosewood the highly anticipated high school bully romance! Bully romances are really popular right now and I’ve been hooked on them lately so it’s worked out for me that there have been so many AMAZING new YA/NA bully romance releases, including Boys That Tease!
Tinsley Sullivan, a child TV star and America’s sweetheart.
Until she’s not anymore.
After 9 years as the star of the hit TV show, The Life and Times of Devin Mooney, a public scandal hits and Tinsley falls from grace, and it’s a long hard fall.
Especially for something that’s not even her fault…
But Tinsley is trying to move on with her life and now that she’s starting at Wildwood Academy for her senior year of high school, she’s hoping she can blend in until she graduates.
There’s only one problem… her ex-costar and the former love interest of her character Devin is the King of Wildwood High and he wants nothing more than to make Tinsley’s life miserable.
Crispin Dalton, the lacrosse god and golden boy of Wildwood Crispin and Tinsley were as thick as thieves at one point in time. They both had a crush on each other but neither of them acted on it and then when the scandal was revealed… everything changed.
Mistakes were made and lives were ruined.
And now that Tinsley is at Wildwood High Crispin is determined to make her life a living hell. Blaming her for things that she had no control over.
“My pretty, innocent, feisty Tinsley. It was like getting high on the best drug ever, the one that made you feel so fucking guilty after you tried it but even worse when you kept coming back for hit after hit.”
But, as much as Crispin wants to hate Tinsley… he doesn’t. After the scandal, it’s expected from him that he does. So in a last ditch effort to get Tinsley out of his head, he starts dating Estella, Tinsley’s best friend.
But you know what they say about the best-made plans. Crispin’s plan is backfiring. Now he’s still constantly thinking about Tinsley and they are even more forbidden than ever.
“She was a mistake waiting to happen. And fuck. I wanted it to happen.”
Will Crispin ever be able to forgive Tinsley? Can Tinsley FINALLY get over Crispin?
Or will all the secrets come crashing down until the two of them are forced to deal with their ever growing feelings for each other?
You’ll have to check out Boys That Tease to find out.
“Careful, Crispin. Boys that tease always pay for it.”
Tinsley, I wanted to like Tinsley soo bad because she was such a sweetheart but she was just so damn naive, especially when it came to Estella, I spotted what that girl was all about from the very start and I just wanted to shake Tinsley so she’d wake the hell up and see it for herself. But even though I wanted to yell at her more often than not, she eventually stole my heart, the girl is as sweet as sugar and you can’t help but root for her.
“God, why can’t you just leave me alone?” “You know I never could,” he admitted, his Adam’s apple bouncing as he swallowed. “You know you’re like a drug, crybaby. I can’t stop, even if I wanted to.”
Crispin, in the beginning, I wasn’t liking his character AT ALL but just like Tinsley he eventually won me over. Thank God for dual POV, he redeemed himself with me for the most part and I get why he felt like he had to hate her, I’m sure I would have felt the same. But once he finally gets his shit together, he’s actually a sweetheart.
“You’re the only girl in this room I want to keep forever.”
Although I did enjoy Tinsley and Crispin’s story I was conflicted about a rating for this one. I just have a hard time calling it a “bully romance” for starters. Did Crispin bully Tinsley? Yes. Did he do some hateful stuff to her? Absolutely. But as for the “mean level” this one fell kind of short for me. It just came off as more of maybe middle school bullying rather than high school, a bit more childish then I feel what would be labeled as bullying from high schoolers, I mean he pulled her hair in one scene. There were also quite a few scenes that I felt were abruptly ended and weren’t as “fleshed out” as they could have been so it left a lot to be desired. Therefore I couldn’t rate it as high as I would have liked to and why I gave it 3 1/2 stars.
All in all, Boys That Tease was a good start to The Lords Of Wildwood Series and I was left intrigued by the mystery and secrets that have yet to be revealed to be excited for the next one, Boys That Read. BUT from what I hear that’s going to be Estella’s book and I HATE her so I have no idea how Betti plans to redeem her in the reader’s eyes… but I sure do look forward to finding out. Now Andromeda, I REALLY can’t wait for her story!
If you enjoy, young adult romances full of angst and drama then this one is right up your ally. I definitely recommend checking it out.
Boys That Tease is a high school romance about overcoming past heartbreak, bullying and never giving up on love. Crispin is worshiped by teachers and students at Wildwood Academy and Tinsley is a former childhood actress and a new student at Wildwood. Crispin and Tinsley go through many ups and downs in their relationship and Estella, Tinsley’s “best friend”/ Crispin’s “girlfriend” is the cause of most of the ups and downs. Crispin and Tinsley’s story is full of high school drama, angst, heartbreak, betrayals, secrets and young love. Overall a good story and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Tinsley and Crispin’s story is just amazing!
I loved both characters for their strength and flaws, honesty and authenticity. They are very well created and seem so vivid and relatable, comprehensible and palpable. Their story is inspiring and sometimes disturbing, too, but always exciting! It made me laugh and cry and everything in between and I can not wait to read more about the Lords of Wildwood and the Wildwood Academy!
AN amazing start to what will be a wonderful series in my opinion. Boys That Tease by Betti Rosewood pulls you in from the start and keeps you enthralled to the very end. The Lords of Wildwood series is a young adult romance that brings you angst, steam and a whole lot of drama.
Tinsley is a former child star that ended her career with a scandal and now she is going back to public school where the kids are anything but accepting and nice, especially Crispin Dalton. There is a history there and Tinsley doesn’t even realize that her once friend is now out to ruin her life. Crispin is the high school star that can do no wrong and he is intense and sexy as hell. Everyone will bend over backwards for him and he will use it all to his advantage to get what he wants.
Tinsley and Crispin have a past and as much as they try to forget that, they cannot!! They are drawn to each other and their chemistry is undeniable. Only problem is that Crispin is dating Tinsley’s supposed best friend.
This story is packed full of intense moments and angst that I couldn’t get enough of and the characters are brilliant. wonderful start o the series and I cannot wait to read more.
Absolutely loved Crispin and Tinsley’s story. Such a beautifully written, steamy, sexy, entertaining book. Another homerun by this amazingly talented author. Can’t wait for#2.
Omg!! I’m so in love with Boys that Tease!!! It’s different from what I’m use to reading. I honestly thought it was going to be a bit of a dark read but was pleasantly surprised with what I read.
Tinsley and Crispin are the cutest couple!! The way their love and heartbreak starts it’s so complicated. It’s truly a high school romance full of all the drama and bullying. I connected with them and found myself emerged in the story. There’s so many secrets that we still need to find out!! Like what happened to Pandora?? Who are the Lords of Wildwood?? So many questions!! Can’t wait for the next books in this series!!!
Boys That Tease is book 1 in the Lords Of Wildwood series by Betti Rosewood. I couldn’t wait to read this story! I’m a sucker for a good bully romance!
And WOW!!! I definitely wasn’t let down by this angst filled young adult romance. Let me say that this book is such a FABULOUS start to the new Lords of Wildwood series!!! I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE!!!
Tinsley and Crispin I absolutely loved these two characters!!! I couldn’t help but to root for these two along that rough windy road to their happily ever after. This story is EVERYTHING!!! A definite must read!
“Careful, Crispin. Boys that tease always pay for it.”
Can I just start this review by saying LOOK AT THAT COVER!? It’s something else that’s for sure! Fans self.
Boys That Tease is book 1 in the Lord’s Of WildWood series and the debut novel for Betti Rosewood. It’s the story of Tinsley Sullivan and Crispin Dalton.
The two worked together as co-stars from a very young age on a hit TV show. There’s not much I can say without giving away spoilers so I’m going to keep this review as vague but straight to the point as possible.
There is A LOT of angst in this book. A lot is going on. Affairs, relationships, mental health, bullying, just so much. Tinsley starts school at Wildwood academy where Crispin already attends and rules. The two hate each other for a brief period of time. Not without reason though. Then Crispin begins to date Tinsleys’ best friend Estella Hawthorne. More because he knows it will keep his mom happy and appeased.
Tensions run high and low, morals are pushed and relationships of all nature’s are put to the test in this super angsty book.
My love for Tinsley who is suffering more than any one would notice at first glance is immense. She was a very admirable heroine. She had her weak moments as we all do which is understandable given her circumstances and just made her all the more real, if you ask me.
Crispin is a fucking sex God I want like, yesterday. Seriously, the dude is pure with a hint of make-you-swoon sweetness. You can’t help but love him even when he’s being a jerk.
With a hint of underlying mystery and intrigue that will leave you biting your nails at the edge of your seat, Boys That Tease is an absolute must-read!

~Tinsley~
Crispin goes about things, in all the wrong ways, for all the right reasons. His feelings for Tinsley are conflicted to the extreme, but that’s to be expected in his situation. He and Tinsley have history together, and feelings with a deep connection, but then something personal happens that tears them apart and makes them enemies. Makes them choose sides.
“She was so innocent, so pure. And I wanted to be the one who got to keep that innocence in my pocket, the one who took it all away from her.”
~Crispin~
Tinsley goes through a massive life event. More than one actually, and it’s caused her a lot of pain. Some that she’s had a hard time dealing with. Things get hard for her, and Crispin doesn’t make it any easier. Being the new girl, and being there after everything that happened is not easy. Crispin adding on to it, and the people of Wildwood following his lead makes it worse.
“I wasn’t sure whether he wanted more, or to pull back and pretend none of this had happened. But I was mesmerized by this beautiful boy who seemed to want me despite the world pushing us apart.”
~Tinsley~
I loved the dual POV, so we’re able to get each characters perceptions, and feelings throughout the book. Not quite what I expected of a bully romance, as Crispin himself couldn’t seem to make up his mind on if he wanted to protect her, or make her an outcast. Her so called best friend, does not seem like a best friend to me. Estella, was more of a bully to Tinsley than Crispin was at times. Not a fan of her. We’ll see how she redeems herself in future books. Time will tell, but not sure about it. Tinsley is my girl. I did like the book though. It was enjoyable. I’d recommend a read of it.
This was a good quick read. I loved the concept but really didn’t find Crispin to be much of a bully but someone stuck in an impossible situation and the same with Tinsley. They are actually innocent kids caught in their parents issues but I liked how they finally let go and realized they loved each other and shouldn’t fight it any more. I do still have several questions a list certain situations but I’m hoping the rest of the series will reveal them. Also I would liked to have seen the fall out of Crispin and his mom because she was the catalyst that kept him from Tinsley for the majority of the book and we never got to see what happened there. Overall a good read and can’t wait to see what happens in the next books.

I have very mixed feelings about this book. First I would like to say that i did enjoy it, the authors writing was good and she held my attention. It’s just that it wasn’t what i expected. I did find myself lost sometimes and wondering why some things in the book were even there. I did like the characters…well most of them. It just really what i thought it was going to be but hey, thats me….please find out for yourself.
