He’s wicked smart. Filthy rich. Plus drop dead gorgeous. And he’s never been more off-limits.Estella Hawthorne might have been the homecoming queen last year, but everything changed this year at Wildwood Academy. I watched her fall from the glamorous mean girl everyone loved to hate, to the broken little girl I used to know. Things have really gone wrong for my former best friend.I’m having my … friend.
I’m having my best year ever. Everybody at Wildwood knows my name, and I finally stepped out of my brother’s shadow. Milo Earnshaw. Chess master. Washboard abs. Picky, because I can be.
I’ve got students and teachers eating out of the palm of my hand. The school’s most popular girl wants to be with me. I got in to my dream college. I’ve got it made.
Except I’ve never felt more empty inside.
Estella is a part of my life I promised myself I’d never revisit. Too many dirty secrets.
Besides, I’m not crushing on her anymore. I got over my Estella-fueled-fantasy in grade school. Now, I just feel sorry for her.
But there’s more to Miss B*tch than meets the eye. I know the real story behind her pretty face. I know her deepest, darkest secrets. And I promised I’d carry them with me until the day I died.
Now, I know she needs me more than ever. Not just as her best friend, or the boy who kissed her tears away when we were younger.
She needs me to make things right, and I owe it to our friendship to give us one last shot before it’s too late.
There’s just one person standing in the way.
Her boyfriend…
My brother.
Second in a series of interconnected high school romances. This is a new adult romance with a boyfriend’s brother, mean girl/geek, forbidden relationship.

I absolutely loved this story by Betti I definitely have been missing out on reading this genre.
This is Milo and Estella’s story and boy did Betti bring her A game with these 2. There’s a lil snarkiness, suspense and even having your own knight nerd in glasses to come save the damsel in distress. This book was so flippin good it is definitely a must read.
Loved this book. I’m such a huge fan of Isabella (Bettie) and this book is part of the reason why. The story was great and I loved the characters. Can’t wait to read more from this series.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Another fantastic book by Betti. This book takes us on a journey with some of the same characters from the first book but it’s a completely different storyline. The characters featured in this book are Milo and Estella (the mean girl from first book) and this book we learn more about why estela is the way she is and we meet Milo who is the best friend in love with her for a long time but his brother is the one dating her until they realize they’re not good for each other and Milo becomes the one for her. We learn more about the secrets from book one and also about the missing girl. in the end of this book Milo and Estella’s relationship is much stronger and they realize that they belong together even with struggles still present. we’re also giving clues about another story that will further explain the secrets of both books.
It’s official. I’m head over heels for the mysterious Lords of Wildwood. I found Estella and Milo’s story much more emotional than Crispin and Tinsley’s story…not just because of the storyline, but because it fit them so well. It’s the key to the books in this series. Rosewood has created characters with such nuance and pride, without you forgetting that they are teenagers. They make mistakes, make bad decisions, lie, steal and ultimately just want to be loved. These characters will break your heart like they did mine.
I loved the relationship Milo had with his brother Natan, and with his family. It was a nice juxtaposition reading about their family against Estella ‘s odd one. I loved how Milo was super smart, but still was part of the Lords…the need jokes dropped here and there but they didn’t sting. People admired Milo and he was popular.
There were some genuinely scary parts in this story, and I was riveted. Literally reading on the edge of my couch. I’m not sure if anyone tried to talk to me while reading it, but if they did, I don’t remember! Milo is so swoonworthy. Getting to know the background on the friendship between Estella and Milo was the best part of the story for me. It was absolutely lovely and important.
So the so-called “reason” for a certain someone’s disappearance was revealed …only for us to find that it wasn’t the whole truth. Quite a mystery is going through these books. Was any of the reason true? How much was a lie? What happened to her? Is she alive? I need to know! Rosewood’s books have become my personal drug of choice.
I quite liked this book. Though I did feel it didn’t have much of a wow factor so it was a little up and down for me at times, I was still excited to find out what happens in the end with everyone, including Estella’s family, so I did enjoy it well enough. It was a rollercoaster of emotions in the story and for me.
After the first book I didn’t know if I wanted to like or hate Estella. I felt really sorry for her at times, my heart just broke for her, and there were times where I really did not like her (same with another character that I won’t mention). But she really turned herself around by the end and I couldn’t help but love her character then. I loved seeing all the vulnerable sides she had to her but I also loved seeing how she built from that to become stronger. And Milo… I loved him right from the beginning, I loved his whole character and the way he always went for what he wanted. I loved how much Milo cared for Estella throughout the whole book and the things he did for her, I really enjoyed them together and I loved their interactions. I also loved the connection Milo had with his brother Nate and their Dads, knowing they always had each others backs.
I loved finding out about Pandora because I so didn’t see that coming (so excited for more of her!).
I felt like the end was over rather quickly and there were still some questions I had that I would’ve loved answers for (some surrounding her father too). But I can’t wait to read more about the other guys in the upcoming books and finally getting all the answers I’ve been desperate for.
I really enjoyed Boys that Tease. I wasn’t sure if Boys that Read could be any better. Well it was! So much wonderful drama! I loved Milo and Estella. Milo took my heart making me love him so hard. I always for some reason cared about Estella in Boys that Tease. They ended up being perfect for each other. I loved the epilogue!
Betti Rosewood delivered big time once again!
Wow! Estella and Milo’s story is so emotionally charged, compelling, riveting and will keep you glued to the pages until you are finished. I was sucked in from the start and it had all the feels you could ask for. You love to hate Estella, you can’t help it, but, Estella isn’t what she seems, everything goes so much deeper, she’s hiding who she really is, her family life is not what she portrays and we get a glimpse into her life and what she lives through on a daily basis and her only saving grace is Milo. Sweet, unassuming Milo who I believe has loved her forever. They’ve been as close as two peas in a pod at one time and now all he seems to do is save her from herself. Their lives are a tangled mess, and you are hanging on every word you are reading to see how this all works out and then on the edge of your seat waiting for the next book in the series. There is no much going on with these two that I just can’t give anything away. Their story is a must read and you can’t miss out on this one, you will not be disappointed.
This was a highly charged story that flows perfectly leaving you wanting more.. A wildly -Delicious page-tuner…
“Boys that read is a book not to be missed…. make sure you have something cold to drink because this book was fire Such a compelling story line that Will have you furiously flipping pages.
A one-two punch of a highly entertaining story that will leave readers eager for the next book…
Betti Brings it like no one else…
With her tantalizing and explosive sexual chemistry, and memorable characters that will live in your hearts forever…
Honestly? I was not sure if I will be able to love this book or not. I was lucky to get an ARC copy, so I dived in the moment it arrived. And I was honestly surprised. Betti not just delivered, she did superb herself.
I fell in love with nerdy and hot Milo the minute I first read about him in the first book, so I was really curious about his story. When I learned he will be paired with Estella I was a little worried. The mean girl, I hated and totally could not imagine for him. I did not think Estella will be able to redeem herself, but hey. She did and Betti did one heck of a job at it. Jaw on the ground and all. A book was funny, full of drama and emotions like you can expect from high schools. Oh, the feels. I cannot wait for the next one, and A Hurt So Sweet of course. The excerpt was a killer.
Gimme all the books.
This is a twisty, sexy high school/college-aged forbidden romance. Milo wants Estella, though she really didn’t seem that likeable as a person. As I learned more about her, I could see how she became who she was, and Milo was determined to bring out the real Estella, only there’s a complication – she’s with his brother. I liked the NA setting of this book, and the characters were well written. Milo definitely rocked it with that smexy geek persona, and his Dominant tendencies were so hot! Estella took me a little longer to get into, but in the end, they were a perfect fit.
Boys That Read is the second book in the Wildwood Academy series by the ever so talented Betti Rosewood and the book i have been waiting for since reading about Estella and Milo in Boys That Tease.
Betti Rosewood has written one of the best books of the summer.
Boys That Read is an emotional, beautiful, written story, that had me all in my feels through out the full book. I loved this book so much I couldn’t put it down until i finished it.
Boys That Read mad my heart ache at the same time it pieced it back together.
With the two books from this series that she has written, Betti Rosewood has quickly become one of my new favourite authors to read.
Can’t wait for more from her.w
The second book in the Lords of Wildwood series features a new couple but should really be read after book 1. This series is different than what I’m used to reading but I am enjoying it. Several questions I hoe are cleared up in book 3.
GIVE ME MORE!!!
This book is incredible in so many ways. The story line is unique and their love is so romantic.
This is the type of book I wish I can give more than 5 stars.
So far we have 2 books from this series and sincerely I can’t wait to read the next.
This time we have the boy that reads Milo and the evil queen Estella.
This time, after her reign of bullying and being #1 mean girl in the school the papers have finally changed.
Estella learned the biggest lesson of her life, Milo is there to be her support.
Milo can’t get his head nor heart away from the mean girl that used to be his best friend. Now his brother’s girlfriend insists on calling him every time something happened to her.
Milo does not find any other option that to go to her. His heart won’t allow him to do something different.
They both need to find a away for their love to survive. The biggest challenge is ahead and the are big walls, stopping them in their path to happiness.
Don’t miss out this amazing book!
Definitely, don’t miss out this amazing series!

After reading Boys That Tease, which I thoroughly enjoyed, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Estella getting a book. She wasn’t a highly likable character in book 1 and she was going to need a lot of redeeming. I felt no pull to dive into her book or any excitement that it was coming. The author was well aware that Estella was no one’s favorite, so she provided some pretty enticing glimpses and teasers about Estella and made everyone, me included, excited to see what was behind the scenes where Estella was concerned.
Estella’s love interest, Milo, wasn’t a prominent character in book 1, so I didn’t really have any preconceived notions about him nor was I swayed one way or another into wanting to see their relationship work out. Frankly, I didn’t care if Estella ever had a happy-ever-after. I do want to mention that the “first-time” scene was amazing. The author did the characters justice with the caring and love they show each other. It’s a pivotal moment in their relationship, in their lives, and it was a moment which would be remembered fondly by both of them. I enjoyed all the intimate scenes, even laughed at times, but there weren’t many of them. That may have helped me see the connection between the couple a bit better.
So now I’ve read Boys That Read and find I wasn’t totally captivated by the couple. I never felt undying love coming from either of them for each other. If anything, I felt Milo’s lust for Estella along with a protectiveness. Many of the events that happened throughout the book were a bit surprising and unexpected. The teens in this story are honestly faced with some pretty grown-up decisions and situations. The behavior of some adults was deplorable with no real consequences for them. Estella did try to redeem herself, but I didn’t get the feeling she was willing to go over and above for any forgiveness.
I was particularly disappointed in the way Milo chose to react to a blackmail situation. I felt let down by his acceptance of the situation instead of fighting against it. His actions came as a shock to both myself and Estella, but she also seemed to ultimately accept the way things were. This is the main reason that I never felt any undying love between the couple.
The book does end with some pretty dramatic scenes involving Estella’s father and secrets are revealed about the disappearance of Pandora from Boys That Tease. I expected the secrets to be way more shocking and surprising than they were and I felt the author downplayed both situations. After all, this is the moment that readers were waiting for and when the secrets were exposed, there was no huge gasp. Everyone kind of goes about their lives, forgiving the trespasses of others, while still focusing on their own futures.
I did not find the timeline at the end of the book to be believable at all. I just didn’t buy into all the events that happened in one week. There were also numerous grammar and editing issues that distracted from my reading. These things made the book feel rushed, vague, almost incomplete. I enjoyed the book enough to finish it, enough to read more of the series, and enough to start the spin-off book about Pandora, A Hurt So Sweet, but I’m not sure where all the 5-star praises are coming from. I am a fan of this author, but I didn’t feel this one, so my rating would be a 3-star. Keep in mind, this is my opinion and yours may not come anywhere close to it. Read Boys That Read for yourself and see what you think.
Milo was the star of this story! I am a total sucker for a hot nerdy guy with a big heart & a dash of dirty. I loved getting to know Estella more (though I didn’t 100% forgive her). Plenty of plot twists, great supporting characters and plenty of heat. I really enjoyed it.
I want my own Milo, he is the perfect book boyfriend. Per my review of Boys That Tease you will see I could not stand Estella but having getting her side of the story I ended up liking her after all was said and done. We finally get answers about what happened to Pandora too. I cannot wait to get more from Wildwood! Also I loved the sneak peek at Pandora’s spin off book Betti is working on.
Boys That Read is book two of the Lords of Wildwood series and is a drama filled page turner. If you read book one then you know that Estella was Tinsley’s best friend and Crispin’s girlfriend until she went psycho on them. When Milo and Estella get together she goes through some major changes. Even though I really didn’t like Estella much in the first book she’s growing on me. This book has it all drama, secrets, mystery, young love and so much more. Overall a good story and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
This was a great book to read has well developed and engaging characters and a storyline that flowed smoothly and kept me turning the pages.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Boys That Read gave me just what I was hoping for with Estella and Milo. Sweet and steamy with just the right mix of drama this book quickly hooked me and demanded my attention.
Milo Earnshaw was so much more than I anticipated. From the start he piqued my interest and kept it the whole book through. I mean what’s not to love about a boy that reads? Sweet and loyal yet dominating and possessive Milo kept me constantly swooning or trying to guess what would come out of his deliciously dirty mouth next.
Estella definitely surprised me. The more I find out about her the more I kept wanting to dig deeper to learn more. I loved seeing another side of her and watching the transformation she underwent. The fiery attraction between her and Milo was intense and undeniable yet I wanted a bit more of their backstory.
The Lords of Wildwood series just keeps getting better and better as each lord’s story unfolds. After the amazing, angsty, dramatic yet sweet story that Boys That Read presented I can’t wait to see what’s in store next.
Boys That Read is the second, stand alone NA contemporary romance and features a new couple, Estella and Milo. If you had read book one, you will remember Estella as the mean Queen of Wildwood and ex-bestfriend of Tinsley.
This book is much more different in the sense that the pace of the story was a bit fast than its predecessor. Although it was said that Estella and Milo were bestfriends since they were kids, I’m having mixed feelings on the build up of romance. I just felt that there should be a bit of a backstory for me to feel the chemistry I guess.
Anyway, some of the mystery were answered and explained on this book. Also, I was glad that we get to know the real Estella and understood why she acted the way she did. And doubly glad that it was someone like Milo who supported her to change and showed her the affection that she was missing in her life.
I was curious to read the next book because it features an intriguing character, Andromeda and Natan, the school’s playboy. Need book 3 right now!
