He’s wicked smart. Filthy rich. Plus drop dead gorgeous. And he’s never been more off-limits.Estella Hawthorne might have been the homecoming queen last year, but everything changed this year at Wildwood Academy. I watched her fall from the glamorous mean girl everyone loved to hate, to the broken little girl I used to know. Things have really gone wrong for my former best friend.I’m having my … friend.
I’m having my best year ever. Everybody at Wildwood knows my name, and I finally stepped out of my brother’s shadow. Milo Earnshaw. Chess master. Washboard abs. Picky, because I can be.
I’ve got students and teachers eating out of the palm of my hand. The school’s most popular girl wants to be with me. I got in to my dream college. I’ve got it made.
Except I’ve never felt more empty inside.
Estella is a part of my life I promised myself I’d never revisit. Too many dirty secrets.
Besides, I’m not crushing on her anymore. I got over my Estella-fueled-fantasy in grade school. Now, I just feel sorry for her.
But there’s more to Miss B*tch than meets the eye. I know the real story behind her pretty face. I know her deepest, darkest secrets. And I promised I’d carry them with me until the day I died.
Now, I know she needs me more than ever. Not just as her best friend, or the boy who kissed her tears away when we were younger.
She needs me to make things right, and I owe it to our friendship to give us one last shot before it’s too late.
There’s just one person standing in the way.
Her boyfriend…
My brother.
Second in a series of interconnected high school romances. This is a new adult romance with a boyfriend’s brother, mean girl/geek, forbidden relationship.

This was such a page turner and I couldn’t put it down, the writing and character development is outstanding. Estella is a complicated woman just trying to find her place and their are some harsh secrets behind closed doors that had me saying OMG and with Milo on her side and lets just say he is perfection and everything that I love don’t get me wrong they have their ups and downs but oh boy were they made for each other in every single delicious way. I loved this hard and cant wait for more.
I was dying to read Estella’s story. The history that she has with Milo was amazing! Can’t wait for Natan and Andromeda’s story!
This is the second book in the series The Lords of Wildwood. It’s about Estella, who was the Queen B in Boys That Tease. When reading Boys That Tease I could not stand Estella. She was a spoiled rich girl, who put people down to make herself feel better. Betti did a wonderful job at making me fall in love and sympathize with Estella in Boys That Read. Estella’s father is the nation-worshipped preacher know for his good deeds and his mesmerizing sermons. Behind closed doors, he is seen as a demon to his family. Estella does not handle the strict and confining of home-life well. At school, she is afraid to let others see the truth, so she instigates them to fear her by being the ultimate mean girl. However, Milo her forever best friend sees the truth in her and believes in her. Through Milo, self-discovery, and redemption Estella finds her way. Betti Rosewood did a great job of showing multiple facets of Estella’s personality and developing her character. I truly enjoyed this story more than I did Boys That Tease and considering I detested Estella, that’s saying something. I am truly looking forward to the next books in this series. If she can elevate her story-telling from one book to the next then I am eagerly ready to see what she does next!
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
A fabulous 4.5 star compulsive read
Well who doesn’t love a boy that reads … This is the second book in the series, and the boys have just got hotter and more perfectly imperfect.
I love this world and the wonderfully developed characters. The story is a delicious mixture of drama, angst and humour. Milo is just everything a girl could want. Estella is more of a challenge, primarily because in the first book she was the antagonist. However, live and let live I say, and she definitely turns herself around over the course of this story.
This was one of those books that drew me in right from the start. A fabulous 4.5 star compulsive read… I received a copy of this book from the author.
Turning Her Life Around
Wildwood Academy has no shortage of drama. The queen of the mean girls is going to get schooled and the quiet nerdy boy comes into his own. He may even get the girl.
Estella is not a nice person. She was and she can be again. It’s all about appearances down to the perfect boyfriend. Too bad she’d rather be with his brother. Everyone has a story and you’ll get hers.
Milo is more interested in his future than anything else. Estella was a good friend when they were kids, but now she’s dating his younger brother. He never stopped caring about her. He just wishes she would find that girl she used to be and then choosr him. He’s going to do his best to get her back.
There’s quite a bit going on. Estella has her secrets. Living with a strict, preacher for a father makes things challenging. She has a plan for her future but nothing is going her way. Milo is about to get everything he wants, but he doesn’t want it if the cost is too great. Throw in some blackmail and embezzlement and you’ll never know what’s coming next.
Milo and Estella have history. They share an attraction but they hold back. Eventually giving in will put them on the path to having exactly what they always wanted. Sometimes you have to lose it all to realize what’s most important. The student body of Wildwood Academy keeps things interesting.
Betti does it again!!
What an amazing read, like boys that tease boys that read had me hooked from the very first page, the banter between milo and stella had me in stitches.
I hated estella in the first book but just a few chapters in I started to understand why she is the way she is, I started to warm towards her and the more I read the more I loved her.
Milo..gah that man! Hes geeky and hot with a dirty mouth, I love him.
Amazing Betti
