Those were the exact words of my social worker when she dropped me in my newest hellhole, a place for “troubled teens”.
I didn’t listen, and now I’m on their radar.
They expect me to play along in their games of hierarchy, to fall in line in the social order they’ve deemed me fit.
Too bad for them, I don’t follow rules.
Too bad for me, they’re determined to make sure I do.
Inconceivably attractive and treated like kings…these are the boys of Brayshaw High.
And I’m the girl who got in their way.

This is book ONE in a THREE book series.more
My brain is about to blow up. This book was everything I could wish for and so much more! Meagan’s writing is raw. Don’t expect boys who bring you flowers and a heroine who needs her prince charming to save her. Raven is a bad-ass with no filter, and with a lot of bitchy attitude and well, you don’t want to cross her path. I look forward to seeing her softer side in book two. And let me spoil it for you. You will crave Trouble at Brayshaw so much you won’t be able to function after you finish BOBH. Every book read after is doomed to be a failure.
I can’t remember ever feeling so completely R.U.I.N.E.D. The plot itself brings so many twists and turns. My brain is fried. And my heart? I don’t think there is anything left of it. Maddoc, Royce, Captain own every piece of it. These boys are a natural disaster. You won’t survive them.
If you loved the Royals by Erin Watt and the Elite King’s Club by Amo Jones, then this book is made for you. Some readers compare it to Fallen Crest High. Honestly? Boys of Brayshaw High is a page-turner, a sleep thief, a book meant to be read more than once, and with no doubt my favourite read of 2019.
FINAL RATING: millions of stars
5 AMAZING STARS
Boys of Brayshaw High by Meagan Brandy is the first book in the Brayshaw High series. The first thing that attracted me to read this book was the cover and the blurb. When I started to read I couldn’t put it down, I read it in one night. Next day I was a zombie. For me, this book was the most unexpected read of the year. I read the book after it was released and I am still hangover over it. This book is my first read from this author and most definitely won’t be my last read from her. This book is FREAKING AWESOME!
Raven or Rae Rae is the heroine of this story. She is 17 years old, but she was forced to mature early. She is sassy, feisty, smart and strong. She is one of the strongest heroines I’ve ever read. She is such a complex, strong and smart character. I feel in love with her from the start.
She had a hard childhood. She lived with her mother in a trailer. Her mother doesn’t love her, she is a junkie ho, she doesn’t care for Raven at all and she lost custody over her. Raven doesn’t take shit from anyone and because she fights and strikes back, she got expelled from her third high school in 18 months. Now she belongs in “The Bray House” a house for troubled teens.
Brayshaw High is ruled by three kings. Maddoc, Royce and Captain. You don’t want to cross them, never be on their wrong side, they will ruin you, they will destroy you. No one messes with them. They don’t give a shit about anyone or anything.
They have money, they have power, they are arrogant and dominant. Nothing happens without their knowledge. They are the same but at the same time, very different. Maddoc is the Bossman. Royce is the fun one and Captain is the voice of reason. Everyone wants to be near them, to be their friends, on their good side.
Only the new girl, didn’t give a shit about them, about their power and status. They couldn’t rule her. Rae Rae turns their world upside down. She is very different than everyone else. Doesn’t use them and doesn’t want their money and social status. They fight her, they bully her, but they don’t win. She wins, she is much stronger than them. She gains their respect, protection, and love.
And the most smitten of them is Maddoc…Every king needs his queen. The chemistry between them is like a nuclear explosion!
This book will drive you insane, crazy. So full of twists and turns, full of secrets and mystery, action, drama, angst, funny and hot, soooo hot…One of my favorite reads of all time. If you haven’t read it, you must grab it and read it right now.
I highly recommend this book!
The cover, blurb and all the hype about Boys of Brayshaw High shouted to me “TRUST ME, YOU WILL LOVE ME” and I give in. But this book needs “prepare paper bag at the end” sign. Because I was staring at the wall with millions of emotions buzzing inside of me. I am a fan of cliffhangers because I think it is a big challenge to write a book with so mindblowing ending which leaves a reader begging for more.
I love young adult stories, I love reading about high school drama. All these mean people, rich hot boys, sassy girls talk to me in a big way. Raven is a fierce girl. I loved her attitude, independence, strong mind, and even stronger fists. She doesn’t let anybody push her around…(maybe one person). And her connection with Maddoc, Royce and Captain left me breathless. I am so curious about these boys. The author gave us little hints here and there about them but this is too little. I crave more!
And believe me, these boys, they will consume you all. I fall so deep with them and don’t know if I want to get up from the floor. Their behaviors and actions call all your attention and my heart is especially responding to one of them.
I know I will reread this book before the second one! I feel this is only the beginning of epic proportion drama and angst. I so can’t wait.
This has by far been one of my most favorite books that I’ve read in such a long time!!! I can’t stress enough that this book should be devoured!! It’s raw, gritty and keeps you wanting more!!!
It’s not 100% accurate in some things, but I very written. The secretive stuff al can get old. I’ll likely follow the seeories
Absolutely loved this book! Can not wait for book #2…
I love this book! Raven is so kick ass.
What can I say about this book? I could not put it down. I can’t wait to read the next one!!!
Woah, Boys of Brayshaw High was freaking amazing. This was my first Meagan Brady read and I was not disappointed, I was hooked from the very beginning. I read this in one sitting! I could not put it down!
I loved this it is a gritty, angsty, mysterious and interesting story that follows Raven and the Brayshaw boys, Maddoc, Captain and Royce.
Raven is firey AF, badass, has a take no crap attitude, so when she is enrolled in a new school where the Bray boys rule all and you are expected to follow their rules Raven does as she usually does and that is just be herself and push all the boundaries and break some of the rules.
The Bray boys are essentially the Kings of Brayshaw High and all Alpha. They make the rules and see that they are followed, from the outside the look like bullies but if you can get close enough you can see there is more to them than what on the surface. They are all as close as brothers and are protective and loyal to only each other.
Ahh and that ending I want book 2 like now, I am so excited for this series and can’t wait to see what happens next with Raven and The Bray Boys.
BOBH book was anything out of what I expected. Whole plot surprised me in every way possible. Incredibly twisted story with heroes who will stuck in my head forever. I love every word author Meghan Brandy wrote in this book and even I wasn’t a big fan of young adult genre, she captured me with this story.
For the first time I was more intrigued by the heroine in the story. Raven. A girl who went through a lot in her teenage life. But that also gave her so much strength, courage and braveness. At the same time she isolated her heart and soul for everyone who try to get near. She was rebellious and fearless for the outside world. I’ve never read any book with that kind of character. She didn’t bow for anyone and any rules. Starting a new life in a new place wasn’t easy especially since she get in the Brayshaw Highschool, ruled by three the most dangerous boys. Maddoc, Royce and Captain. Her defiance reached a new level. That’s were the story begins.
It’s an addictive and thrilling story with fast pace and many twists and turns. Young adult plot will sweep you off your feet and never allow you to forget about it and you won’t because author left us with an unexpected turn of events. Story will continue in book #2 Trouble at Brayshaw. Don’t matter what age you are, this story is for every book addicted Lovers.
Omg ………,AMAZING this is a one click must have, it grips you from page one and never lets go, by the end I was a screaming mess I just have no words for that ending only, I NEED Book 2 right NOW ( insert kicking and screaming till I get my own way like a child )….loved every minute of it can’t wait to get stuck into more brayshaw boys …………..
DAMN. Now THAT was a good book! I wish I could give it more than just five stars! Every page left you wanting more and I just could NOT put it down.
I loved the heroine, Raven! She’s so tough and kick ass and doesn’t take anything from anyone and I love that about her! And the attraction between her and Maddoc is just completely to die for. Like honestly, Meagan couldn’t have written this any better. Talk about SWOON!
It’s a big fat juicy five stars of a book and now after that ending I’m sitting here anxiously waiting for spring to come because I desperately NEED book two ASAP!!!
Boys of Brayshaw High is a good read. I found my self hooked in the beginning but wavered a little in the middle and then got hooked back in in the last half of the book. Rae is string girl. She’s not one that you want to mess with. She hasn’t had much of a mother and i finally taking by the system. She’s dropped into an odd house that takes the kids no one wants. The town she is placed in is also odd. The Brayshaws run the town and have a rival with the Gravens. Maddoc, Captain and Royce are Brayshaw boys. They pretty much run things. Rae is a girl that doesn’t back down and doesn’t take crap from anyone. I’m pretty sure she doesn’t think much before acting. It doesn’t take her long to fall on Maddoc, Captain and Royce’s radar. Maddoc, Captain and Royce are cocky and confident and a little bit of bullies but they also have a sweet side. I don’t want to give to much away but stick with this one to the end. It’s book one in the series so it ends with a hook that has me wondering what happens next.
I wish for books like their there was a 6th star. This book was so good! I love a great enemies to lovers story and this one was beyond fantastic! I haven’t been able to read in a week from my book hangover! I can not wait for books 2.
It’s not often that I knock down my rating based on editing. I’m definitely making an exception here. This puppy needs a really good brush over. We’re talking missing words, incorrect words…I have horrible grammar and spell like a 3rd grader…if I complain, it’s an issue.
With that tid bit out of the way, let’s move on to substance and story.
If you are a fan of Fallen Crest High or that Royal series by Erin Watt, I’d say this book is something you’ll highly enjoy. It’s for sure got that feel.
Three hard-headed and mysterious boys run the town Raven finds herself moved to. She’s been transferred to a group home, away from her hooker mother and the only lifestyle she’s ever known. She’s used to standing up for herself and fighting to survive. The Brayshaw boys are not used to anyone standing up to them, however. Attitudes collide, curiosity is piqued, and of course sexual tension runs high.
That’s all fine. What wasn’t okay with me is the level of drama thrown in. It’s a lot. It’s 1987 daytime soap opera if you threw an entire seasons drama into one episode.
I LOVED the slow burn. But that’s probably all I truly loved. The characters are quite stubborn. I liked Raven’s intuition but hated that she isn’t honest with herself.
That all being said, it’s a bit like crack and I might still give book 2 a look-see. Don’t ask why, I stopped questioning my sanity years ago.
FAV BOOK OF 2019. Hell, it might be the best book I’ve read in a year. I don’t say that often but I’m screaming it now.
Why did it have to end?! Is it Spring yet??
GODDDDDD. So hot. All FOUR main characters were my favorite. How often can you say that? Never! I’m swooning and wishing I were Raven right about now. Which is weird, considering her hard life.
Just stop reading here and go read the book. RIGHT. NOW!
What a book !!!
My friend recommended this book and I’m so glad she did. It was just brilliant i luvd every bit of it. I’d seen loads of people talking about it. But I didn’t think it would be this good. I have read this author before so everything was new to me. Which I really liked. The story was great from the beginning I was hooked i couldnt put the book down. I luv a bad ass heroine and Raven fits that to a T. She has been through a lot life has been easy but she stands tall and lifts her head high and takes whatever is thrown at her. She’s used to the names and what people think. But she wasn’t prepared for the Brayshaw boys but they are really prepared for her either. They all even Raven learn that after a while.
The Brayshaw boys are sexy confident arrogant and rule nearly everything if not everything. The Boys want to be them and girls beg to be with them. This how they live there life no one would dream of touching them ot what they have. Maddoc Royce and Captian are solid together. They don’t do much without each other and know everything about each other. There isn’t much that goes past them either. There family history is what there living and fighting for and well do what they have to to keep things right. This is until a lil spitfire comes along and turns there lives upside down.
All four of them are used to what’s goin on. The boys are used to having another person in there group never mind it be a girl. But she’s not just a normal girl. Raven has her own rules and there a lot like the boys but trust is a huge thing for them all there not used to trusting anyone. So letting each other in and trusting that person isn’t easy. But Raven seems to have done that. It even shocks her at times how much these guys have mean to her and how far she will go for them. But she is alway a step ahead of them. No one can control but no one has. She has a plan and she needs to stick to it but there making it for her to do that.
I really enjoyed this book its so good. But that ending has killed me. I need the next book now. I need more of these hot boys and crazy girl. There all great characters I luv all the boys there so different but so sexy. Maddoc is so broody and alpha I really like how dominate he is. Captain is really protective I luv the relationship he has with Raven. Then there is Royce omg this guy is so funny and lighten up the group. He is still kick ass and proctive like the other two but he isn’t has dark as Maddox but him or Captain isn’t. They a have a different bond with Raven and I like that. The story is full of surspence I m dying to know what’s goin to happen. There is still so much to find out and people I want taken down. God there are people in that that are really getting on my nerves.
I would highly recommend this book. It’s so good I’m so glad I read it. Everything about it is brilliant. You won’t be disappoint when you start it still remember there’s a cliffy. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long for more of the Brayshaw gang.
5 Delicious Big Man Stars!
The Boys of Brayshaw High was my first read by Meagan Brandy and will definitely not be the last. THIS. BOOK. WAS. EVERYTHING!!! It was intense, captivating and completely mind blowing! I can’t even begin to describe just how much I loved it.
Raven has lived a tough life. She grew up in a trailer park, raised by a mom who is a drug addicted whore. At the age of seventeen, she is pulled out of there and sent to a group home for girls. Here she plans to bide her time until she turns eighteen and can go out on her own. Starting at her new school, it doesn’t take long until she crosses paths with the Brayshaw boys – Maddoc, Royce and Captain. Three sexy af alpha guys who rule the school and the town. She is immediately drawn into their world full of secrets and lies. One where she is expected to play by the rules, but that has never been her style. She is smart, sassy, feisty and stubborn. A kickass chick who gave as good as she got. The boys of Brayshaw have finally met their match and this is where the fun and games begin.
I absolutely loved this book! I devoured each and every word until the very end. Every page pulling me in deeper and deeper. It had just the right amount of angst, family drama, playful banter and sizzling hot chemistry. Everything that a romance reader could possibly ever want. Meagan Brandy, you have yourself a new fan and I can’t wait to see what the next book brings us!
All the STARS!!! Honestly I picked this book up because of all the buzz, I had to see what all the hype was. I must say it’s all true! Meagan is a new author to me this is the first I’ve read of her work, but I’m hooked! Everything about this book was 5 Stars! The storyline is unique and pulls you in from page one. Her characters though troubled and vulnerable are strong and resilient. They grip your heart. I loved watching them grow and mature. I love when Bad Boys are fiercely loyal with big hearts. I can’t wait to see where this series goes! Definitely a one-click.Meagan Brandy
Well holy smokes that was different!
This story is remarkable. The characters have so much depth that you get sucked right in! Meagan Brady’s words bring so much color to this book. I could feel myself become immersed completely.
Raven, she is the type of heroine all books should have! She stole the show. Her struggles and her fights made her into a young woman I’d be proud of. She didn’t let her circumstances break her. She broke the cycle.
Maddoc, oh man I don’t know where to start with him. His passion and loyalty towards his family and to Raven was immense and beautiful to see. Book Boyfriend material here!!
Honestly there aren’t many other words. I’m speechless and amazed. Not your typical enemies to lovers story. But the angst was definitely there.
This needs to be gobbled up ASAP!
