Those were the exact words of my social worker when she dropped me in my newest hellhole, a place for “troubled teens”.
I didn’t listen, and now I’m on their radar.
They expect me to play along in their games of hierarchy, to fall in line in the social order they’ve deemed me fit.
Too bad for them, I don’t follow rules.
Too bad for me, they’re determined to make sure I do.
Inconceivably attractive and treated like kings…these are the boys of Brayshaw High.
And I’m the girl who got in their way.

This is book ONE in a THREE book series.more
So I’ve never read anything from this author before. And now that I have I’m addicted! Wow this book was incredible.
Raven’s character isn’t like anything I’ve ever read. And Maddoc, Captain and Royce the Brayshaw boys are nothing you will ever read again.
This story is complex, addictive, funny, tragic and incredible all mixed up into this amazing first book in a series I know I will be comparing to everything I read this year! I hate that we have to wait for the next book but can’t say that I wouldn’t wait years for it!
So as some of you know, I read this awhile ago but recommending on BookBub now because book 3 comes out in OCTOBER and I cannot wait! Meagan Brandy ‘s Brayshaw series has a badass heroine, 3 guys who bring out the best in her, and ALL the feels. It’s the angsty new adult I’ve always loved with a fresh edge and plenty of twists thrown in. If you haven’t started this series yet, DO IT. You’re welcome.
I love books like this. It reminds me a bit of the Fallen Crest books when Sam, Mason and Logan were like one big family. This book begins with Maddoc,Captain and Royce as the kings of Brayshaw High and Raven is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks that comes in to threaten their world since she just doesn’t have in her to bow down to them like everyone else in the school.
However, she ends up in the inner circle and part of their family like nobody ever has, though due to her background she continues to feel that it is only temporary and at some point she will be replaced by someone more deserving.
Her mom was a hooker and a drug addict her entire life and her worst fear is ending up like her mother. A lot of people think she already is and treat her like she is, so sometimes she acts like a slut or a hooker because it is easier to act that way then to let people know that the digs and comments hurt her.
Being with the boys has helped her quite a lot, there are still issues. She is with Maddoc, but. He gets jealous. Especially of her friendship with Bass Bishop, who used to schedule fights for her. Royce is hilarious and good friend to Rae. Captain needs her around more than she knows. There is also a big rivalry between another group which is getting in the way and a cliffhanger at the end.
I LOVED IT!
I will admit, my youngest is nearly 17 yrs old and I did have to think of these characters as being around 22 yrs old because it made me feel better. LOL
Seriously!
Raven and the boys do act a lot older and behave a lot older than most teenagers in all aspects, but that is what sets this book on another level in the fictional world.
I’ve already put a couple of readers in my closed group onto this book because I loved it for what it was. This is a bully romance, they are at high school (good lawd!) and the author gave it her everything. This is probably the best bully romance I have read to-date because no punches were held back, so to speak.
Boys of Brayshaw kept me on the edge of my pants and I’m dying for the release of book two! I can not wait to see what happens next!
I was supposed to post this on my fan made Friday but screw it. I need to talk Boys of Brayshaw High now. In advance sorry for the lengthy post. u2063

Boys of Brayshaw High it’s a high school/sport romance like no other. It’s super intriguing, angsty, alluring, mysterious, sexy, sassy and so freaking hot. It keep you on edge the WHOLE BOOK. I lost count how many time I gasp and yelled OMG. Let’s not forget that Brandy made me sit in my comfy sofa all day reading, neglecting my house shores because I couldn’t for the life of me put it down. It took me 1 DAY. I had just 4 hours of sleep after finishing and I not even sorry. This was pure PERFECTION.u2063

Just a little recap of what the story is about. You guys know me, I hate spoiling books so I’ll try to explain without telling too much. u2063

Three guys, the Brayshaw brothers. They rule the town and school. Big, wealthy, strong, scary and with a bad boy sexy edge. Names are Maddoc, Captain and Royce Brayshaw. In come the new menace and addition to Brayshaw High, Raven Carver. She is as beautiful as she is sassy. The badassness of this girls is OFF THE CHARTS HOT. She is resilient, strong, independent, beautiful, dangerous and untamed. Which is a big no no for the guys accustom to get everybody in line and do whatever they want them to do. u2063

Imagine meeting their match and wanting to put her on a leash. Good luck Maddoc. You sure didn’t see her coming.

The plot, the writing style were made to keep you guessing, reading and waiting for the bomb to drop. Just go read it guys I’m telling you is was BRILLIANT.
“If someone tries to hurt you, I need you to tell me.”
“I can’t do that.” He pushes closer, his expression angrier.
“Why not?”
“Because I’m not your problem.”
“Be my problem.”
What happens when a badass, resilient, alpha woman crosses three alpha men? Explosion. Explosions happen and sometimes it is the best kind and sometimes it is not but oh, do they make me the happiest reader ever!
So, yes, I had to go with the hype! I mean, when a book is floating on every social media account, naturally I was intrigued. I finally got the chance to read this and I can officially say, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks to Tijan, messed up teens and their equally OTT messed up lives is my jam. What can I say? I live for the drama. Lol!
Raven Carver a.k.a. RaeRae is removed from her mother’s care and taken to Bray House for troubled teens and unknowingly and unwittingly finds herself in the middle of a decade old feud between the Brayshaw’s and Gravens and a fight for power and revenge.
Raven has a ‘No F*cks to Give’ attitude. She knows about loyalty and sacrifice and putting herself on the line to make her life easier, even if it does not benefit her. She will do anything to keep herself safe and those around her (if she finds them worthy) but she never lets anybody protect her or look out for her. She raised herself on the belief that she can count only on herself so when the Brayshaw Boys start to evoke emotions in her she is not ready for it.
The Brayshaw Boys a.k.a. Maddoc, Captain and Royce run the town and intimidation is how they work on the outside in the public but when it is just the three of them, they couldn’t be more different, almost like normal 17/18-year-olds.
Maddoc is the quiet one. The leader. Trust doesn’t come easily to him. He studies every situation and every person he comes across and one Raven Carver is messing with his mind because that is the only person he can’t get a read on.
Captain is the nurturer. He is calm and thinks things through. He is legit like this mama bear behind closed doors who will do everything in his power to protect those whom he loves and cares. You see this “open” side of him in a scene or two and it really gives you an idea of what kind of a person he is.
Royce, oh Royce! Flirty, funny, charming and intimidating, I was always left with a smile on my face whenever he spoke or did something. He was perfect in bringing levity to scenes with his antics.
These three are so used to people doing stuff for them out of fear or simply because so that they could cash in a favour from the boys, they do not know what to make of Raven every time she helps them without wanting anything in return.
Maddoc, Captain and Royce, each of them develop a different bond with Raven as individuals and as a group that is special in their own way and it was so much fun to read about it and how it unravelled all of them.
“Like I said, she’s trouble.
Problem is, I like the taste of trouble.”
Every character in this story, negative or positive, bring something of their own to the narrative and complement each other. Another one of my favourite part was the changing dynamic between Raven and the Brayshaw Boys. To see, even if it was just a smidgen, the walls they built around themselves crack a little.
Oh! That ending! I can’t wait for the hell that is about to be raised by the Boys when they find out about what has happened and what Raven plans to do to protect them.
BRING ON THE NEXT BOOK!!
4 Stars!
What an addictive book! I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down. Love Raven – she’s a queen! And I love the boys. I love each of their individual personalities and how they banded together to become brothers. Because family isn’t always blood related.
Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
oh wow !!! Holy cat fish i was dragged kicking and screaming into this drama and loved every single minute of it !!
A heroine (Rae) that is beyond kick ass, sassy and will bend to no ones rules.
A trio of hot boys/men, Maddoc, Captain & Royce) that make the rules, Loyal to each other and harbour grudges like you can’t fathom.
Throw in drama, angst and a cupboard over flowing with skeletons and you have a book that grips, ensnares and throws a punch that will leave you reeling for days !! Welcome to Brayshaw High and enjoy the ride!! I couldn’t put this book down, with every page i felt compelled to join this group and be part of it, my loyalties were right there along with them and the deeper i got the more involved i felt!! You really couldn’t predict what was going to come next. One of the most exciting books i’ve read in a while !! I CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE !!!!!
Mean girls have nothing on these boys!
I definitely enjoyed this story. I have to say I’m Team Brayshaw….eventually. Guess girls really do fall for the a-holes of the world. Once you get to know them, you start to like them. You start to respect them. Once you are squarely in Brayshaw, you get hit with all the reasons you can’t be.
I look forward to reading how this all pans out!
Absolutely amazing read!
To say I was obsessed with this book would be an understatement. Angst, intrigue and over the top alphas had me glued to the pages!!
Love when I read from a new to me author and find my new obsession. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this book! Yes, it ends with a little cliffie but I’m a glutton for punishment and love the wait.
Raven is one badass and Maddoc, Royce and Captain were at first total jerks You wanted to smack, but end up loving each one for total different reasons.
I cannot recommend this book enough if you love a good YA. And can’t wait for book 2!!
This is the first book buy this author that I have read and let me tell you I’m hooked. I couldn’t put this book down for anything. I read it in one sitting, thanks to my sister for recommending that I read it.
From start to finish I was drawn in. It’s rare to have three alpha men and boy these three are totally hot, and all about family. They show that family isn’t always about blood it’s about who you are and who you fit in with. Captain, Royce and Maddoc are totally opposite from each other but together they have a strong bond and nothing can break them or get in their way. Or they thought till Raven showed up in town.
Raven isn’t your typical girls. She’s tough, genuine and feisty. She also know how to handle herself and doesn’t let anyone push her over. She does what she wants and how she wants. Things change when the Boys start to take over her life.
This book is angsty, definitely a page turner and will have you trying to figure out what what’s gonna happen next. I definitely can’t wait for book 2 to see what happens next.
Five stars and highly recommend.
My first kindle throwing tantrum of 2019′ was caused by The Boys of Brayshaw High Seriously,
I’m finding it hard to find the correct words to explain exactly how much I loved this book…Boys of Brayshaw High was everything that I love about Y/A novels..scratch that it was made up of all the things that I love about reading in general. Amazing characters & secondary characters, a witty and unique story line that kept me on my toes from beginning to end, all the angst and just the right amount of swoon worthy moments that had me falling in love with Raven & the boys and this book world that Meagan Brandy has created for us. I will definitely be recommending this book any and everyone & I cannot wait to find out what happens next
I’ve officially been deemed a “Bray girl”
My most anticipated read this year so far.
And it did NOT disappoint!!
”Truth is, these boys got me on my knees, where whores are most comfortable. But I swear to shit, it’ll take a lot more than three parentless punks to keep me here.”
OH MY GOD. that’s all I can say. There is no words to describe this book to make anyone understand how good it was! YOU MUST READ FOR YOURSELF.
Completely without a doubt the best 5 star I’ve read in a while. I already added it to my top books of 2019.
I mean it, I have NO complaints whatsoever. The next book can’t get here fast enough!
Meagan is an amazing author, I swear every review I do for her books I’m always saying how it’s the best book, or how her books keep getting better every time I read them. All true, but this book THIS BOOK was hands down the best. I know the next release I’ll be saying something similar but holy hell they just keep getting better! I can’t help myself!
“Girls like you aren’t exactly welcomed at a place like this, so keep your head down and look the other way.”
Yeah, as You wish “Boys”… however, are You ready for Raven? I know You don’t, because she’ll do everything in every OTHER possibly way. This girl the real master in whole story. Sigh, Boys are just Boys… They’re thinking that they could handle Raven, that they could commanding her here and there. WELL ! Suprise !!! There’s no way this girl will give up !
Being totally new to Meagan’s work, I wanted to read this book because good friend of mine highly reccomended this author. After reading Boys of Brayshaw High I still can’t decide if I should say “thank You” to this friend, or maybe be mad moore, because helll… this book left me on the edge and it was very, very good. So many tension, so many secrects to find out, so many hard feellings to survive… Story line here is real masterpiece, from page by page I was falling deep and deeper in whole story. Sometimes I was confused, and couldn’t understand why Raven and Boys behave like they were, HOWEVER I saw on the end that every word, every gesture has it’s own meaning… we all just need to wait and figure this out.
Hopefully Mrs Brandy will write second book quickly – I need this book in my life.
Highly recomended title.
Holy…
Fucking…
Hell…
Batman!!
I am still sitting here trying to process what I just read. Meagan Brandy really went in for the kill with this one. I don’t know if I’m pissed off at her, or if I want to hug her. She had me on the edge right from the start. Hell I was yelling at people to leave me alone so that I could keep reading. Then when I got to the end I just sat there yelling “What the Fuck.” The level of angst in this book had my head spinning and my mind going all over the place. Readers will be in a continual state of “what the actual Fuck#, then jumping to “oh hell no”, all while their hearts will be racing and their mind will be swimming with questions.
Brandy has this gift of weaving together characters that take hold of your soul and will squeeze it with the grip like that of a python. You will not be able to stop yourself from feeling every high and low right along side the character. Everything that they go thru will keep you so engrossed that when to reach that part where it’s the end, you won’t know what to do with yourself. Hell I had too many moments of wanting to take the characters and hide them away from Brandy, that I lost count. But, I will have to let her continue her brand of torture on them, all because I need the next part to this heart wrenching story.
OMFG….I dont even know where to start with this one! Other than it is Freaking LIFE!! I’m totally a #braygirlforlife
What do you get when you pair a girl from the wrong side of the tracks with three bad boys who run the town? The answer is: a world that you crave to live in. Boys you salivate over. A girl who is tough as nails, takes no BS from anyone. You get the most amazing story with EVERYTHING. Raven, Maddoc , Royce and Captian are just amazing characters, that Brandy effortlessly makes you fall in love with. All four strong, fierce, loyal and independant. They have a way of getting under you skin and living there.
Brandy made me not want to stop, I had to turn the page, had to keep reading, had to know WTF was going on. She kept me interested and on the edge of my seat, just waiting for that moment that my jaw would hit the damn floor and throw my kindle. And when it did, boy did I scream at the top of my lungs.
I’m so invested in this world, in these characters, in this story. I cannot wait to see where it goes. And i cannot wait for the rage, Brandy so amazingly give me, to take over!
I also added 1 more to my harem of book boyfriends. #maddocbelongstokatie!!
I read this book in one day was completely hooked from the first page until the last. Absolutely amazing book with characters you’ll instantly fall in love with and want more and more of. Completely blown away with this authors words and everything to do with these characters and I need more of these characters ASAP. This will be one book I’ll be reading over and over again just so I can fall in love with this characters again and again. Let me tell you that everyone must read this book because this author definitely won’t disappoint you with this story. So many twists, turns and secrets things you want to figure out but that’s not given away until the characters are ready for you to know. This book was everything and will definitely be one book I’ll never forget.
Hook line and sinker.. I’m caught !
Yep this one has me hooked ! A badass heroin , independent strong and gives more then she takes , 3 gorgeous hero’s who are dominant and strong but also just so loyal to each other a bond unbreakable (!?)
Love all the characters love the build up of the story line and how even though at the end of this book we still know so little you feel like your ‘in’ in the group and this world the author has built . I’m
Definitely invested and can’t wait to start book 2 !
Holy mother of bullying
That was intense!
Raven has a dramatic past that pretty much sends her to Brayshaw High. There she meets some boys that make her life miserable almost every day. They actually bully her, make fun of her and spread shaming rumors about her constantly. And what does she do? She helps them every damn time they’re in deep shit.
What!?
I believe that the author wanted to make Raven strong or something like that. But I don’t think that her actions proved her right. Yes Raven didn’t really care about what others said about her and she was a very intense character as well. But! She couldn’t keep herself at a distance from these boys. They treated her like shit and she was following them around like a puppy.
I definitely thought something was off there. This is not a reverse harem book so Raven ends up with one of these boys.
The sexual tension is strong and present throughout the book. The steamy scenes were very hot and I couldn’t be more happy reading them .
Overall that was an interesting story and since I have a soft spot for
romance/academy related books I actually enjoyed reading it. If you like intense boys with big ideas for themselves then definitely give this a try!
