Yeah, I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine … one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.
I’m the guy who’ll make you feel beautiful, desired, and worshipped . . . all for a steep price. I’m hired to make you shine, and I always deliver.
I’ll be whatever you want me to be for one night—except my true self. This is just a job, a role I play to earn a paycheck.
But I’m not the guy who falls for a client. Not once in six years.
And then I meet Elle. Her friend has hired me to escort her to a wedding, but Elle doesn’t know we’re just pretending.
There’s a fire between us I never expected. A connection I haven’t felt in so long. One kiss, and I’m losing all control.
But what will happen when she finds out who I really am?

I began reading it and found that i was deeply disappointed. I was listening to it so I basically returned it.
I love a male escort plot, so I picked this one up. It has its charming points, but there is nothing new here. The heroine could have used more backbone. That she sat silent when her ex dressed her down in public made me lose respect for her. Yes, the hero came to her rescue, but why didn’t she speak up for herself? So, I wasn’t crazy about this book, but it was entertaining and the sex scenes were hot.
Cute story of a setup by Elle’s best friend with a guy from an escort service. Nic is hired to attend the wedding festivities with her. Instead of conducting business as usual, Nic, falls for Elle. The twists and turns of romance make this an enjoyable read.
I loved this book.
3.5 Stars
Selling the hero who happens to be a male escort and who has probably had sex with 1000 women in the last six years on the job is tough. I liked Nic though. He was charming and kind and recognized that he did not want to be an escort forever. Elle has her confidence boosted when Nic defends her, charms her, and is genuinely interested in her. They both end up falling fast for each other. There is no cheating in this book though there are a few scenes that describe Nic escorting prior to meeting Elle, which some may not like. There is also one scene between Nic and Elle that will bother some but I consider it a spoiler so you will need to read that in someone else’s review.
Ultimately I liked that Nic makes drastic changes to his life in the name of love and I enjoyed this book despite the hero’s job.
Predictable, but utterly adorable.
Perfect book to curl up to and escape reality for a bit.
love Kendall Ryan’s books.
He is a boyfriend for hire. She needs a date for the wedding. Her friend hires
him and she doesn’t know that. He is taken with her. The story is fun and funny
Another great read from Kendall Ryan..
This story follows the very popular theme of escort meeting a girl and falling in love. The characters are fairly cute, but the plot is rather predictable without any special twists or something that stands out. A quick entertaining read but wished there was something more.
This was good; definitely my favorite from Kendall so far! I liked this so much, I pretty much read it in one sitting. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
The escort thing was new to me, as I don’t think I’ve read anything where a character had that occupation before, but honestly I felt like most of the book didn’t focus on that. It focused on Elle and Nic, but there was always the escort thing in the back of your mind due to some things the characters said/did. If you can get past that, I think you’d enjoy this.
The book ended sooner than I expected at 86%, and I was sad to finish it. I didn’t want to stop reading about this pair. Nic was so swoony, gorgeous, nice, sweet, etc. I absolutely adored him! I also really liked Elle. She was sassy, smart, and had curves for days. I loved seeing the connection between these two unfold and build.
The epilogue was adorable, and I can’t wait to read the next book that’s coming out in the Escorts Inc. series (The Hookup Handbook). I honestly hope Kendall will do more books from this group of guys, because the snippets I saw with them made me intrigued while simultaneously rooting for them to get happily ever afters.
Another short, sweet, sexy, and swoony read from Kendall Ryan. Boyfriend for Hire hits all the right romance feels. Happiness, sweetness, a bit of angst. It’s all here.
And if you don’t want a Nico by the time you’ve finished this…well, you will want a Nico. Let’s just say that.
Boyfriend For Hire was a sweet, sexy and entertaining story. I was a bit intrigued about how a romance could blossom between Nic and Elle yet quickly found myself rooting for them. From their first rather unconventional “blind” date the sparks between Nic and Elle were evident though a bit unexpected. Their witty banter had me chuckling out loud as Nic was kept on his toes as Elle took his world and flipped it on its axis. It felt at times like something was missing yet overall Boyfriend For Hire was a funny, steamy and surprisingly sweet read.
Nic is a male escort who is hired to escort a young gal named Elle to her brother’s and best friends wedding. What Elle doesn’t know won’t hurt her right? She knows nothing about the set up. She thinks she meets this sexy and charming man through her best friend and after hitting it off, he escorts her to the wedding.
Nic never expects to get along so well with Elle. What’s the harm in seeing Elle again after the wedding? She’ll never find out right? Boyfriend for Hire is cute and charming. It’s fiction so it’s meant to be fun and flirty which it totally is! I love male escort to romance stories like this! 4 charming stars!!!
This story sorta reminded me of the movie The Wedding Date – if you haven’t seen it; 5 words: Dermot Mulroney in a towel. You’ll thank me later.
Nic is the quintessential perfect boyfriend. Except he’s for hire. He’s been the arm candy for many a woman when they need a companion that is drop dead gorgeous to make everyone jealous. He knows he’s hot and how to treat a woman – until Elle. He’s hired as a date/escort for Elle by her best friend/sister-in-law. Except Elle doesn’t know he’s a hired man.
This story was sweet and funny and sexy and just an all-around good read. Definitely worth a re-read!!
I loved this fun & flirty, heartwarming, steamy romance! Nic is an exclusive escort with a heart of gold. His job is about providing a service and not always about sex. His clients range from the professional to the elderly, and he always makes them feel cherished and special. He loves his job, never breaking his rules to keep emotions out of it. That is until he was hired to be a wedding date for Elle by her best friend. Elle’s ex will be at her friends wedding, and Elle needed support. Nic made her feel confident, protected, and sexy, something she hadn’t felt in a long time. Nic felt like breaking all his rules for Elle, something he never considered before. He is intrigued by the smart, fun, sexy woman, she was so easy to be with, and he didn’t fell worthy of her. He wanted to pursue her in the right way, hoping she would see his as more than his job. But when she learns she was betrayed by her best friend and the man she was falling for, how can she trust them again? This story was so moving, passionate, and heartwarming and I loved Jason Clarke, and Erin Mallon’s narration. They were superb as Nic and Elle as they made the fun and flirty couple come alive. I easily felt all the passion, heartbreak, joy, and love these characters felt. I loved the chemistry between Clarke and Mallon and think they compliment each other perfectly. The combination of Ryan’s heartfelt story, witty banter, and great characters, along with the flawless narration by Clarke and Mallon, made this a complete joy to listen too.
As a big fan of Kendall Ryan I’m always excited when she has a new release so “Boyfriend for Hire” was a no-brainer. Nic is the perfect male escort. He’s perfectly GQ handsome, a perfect gentleman and perfection in the bedroom. Hoo boy! But Mr. Perfect falls for one of his clients and breaks his own rules. Elle is not your typical fashionably-thin female protagonist. She’s a curvy, intelligent woman but she was just dumped by her asshat boyfriend and she needs a drop-dead gorgeous escort for her brother’s wedding. Nic easily fills this void. Their connection clicks and a weekend turns into much more. Elle is smart enough to realize there’s something about Nic that doesn’t quite jibe, only she can’t put her finger on what it is. Can he come clean about his job? Can they have a future?
I love the plot premise and the two protagonists. What’s not to love, right? Well, for starters the character development never really happened. Aside from some meager bits and pieces of info, we don’t get any real insight into the characters and their backgrounds. The bones of a good story are here but there’s no real meat on those bones. Part of the problem is the length. Ryan is cranking titles out at an astoundingly rapid pace but they’re only averaging about 250 pages. That’s barely novel length. Some could be better classified as novellas, which do not allow for full character and plot development.
Kendall Ryan’s writing has always had heart but her style and technique have really developed and improved. Part of that is because she’s doing what good writers do. They write. So, do keep writing but, can we have some more meat please?
What a wonderful read from Kendall Ryan!
Boyfriend for Hire was everything I hoped it would be and more. It had swoon worthy characters, a unique and interesting plot line, sexy moments, and scenes that had me smiling from ear to ear.
I loved how the relationship between the characters started. They were each blinded by things that were going on around them; however, no matter what happened, they weren’t blinded by what was going on right in front of them. Sparks were flying, tension was high, and their love for one another couldn’t help but blossom through it all.
I cannot believe how much I enjoyed this novel. I need it in paperback to add to my Kendall Ryan collection.
5/5 Stars!
Boyfriend for Hire is a fun read. It is sweet, sexy and funny which Kendall Ryan is known for and keeps you entertained from the beginning until the end. Don’t let the title and/or blurb throw you off or get hooked on the escort part. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you will enjoy it.
This was such a cute & sweet story about Nic, an sexy escort and a client request to take her friend, Elle (a woman who has no clue who he actually is) as her wedding date.
Nic is a man who takes his work seriously and has set some hard rules when it comes to his job and when it comes to finding the one. Little did he know that Elle was the game changer and vice versa.
Thinking this would be another easy job and Elle being set up a plus one by her friend (& soon to be family) to a wedding; it starts to spark something more each time they are together. The dilemma…when the truth (and lies) are becoming a challenge. The more they get to know each other; it will either make or break that chemistry between them.
Boyfriend for Hire by Kendall Ryan is a contemporary romance with humor, heat and a hero and heroine you’ll love. Nic Evans is a male escort who is hired to serve as a date for Elle, who is attending her best friend’s wedding alone. Nic pretends to be a college friend to the bride, it was supposed to be a simple date. Nic was expecting go on to the next job without Elle ever knowing. However, sparks fly between Nic and Elle and things are much more… complicated. Soon they are meeting after the wedding is over and the waters are uncharted and unplanned.
Ms. Ryan has written another enjoyable romance that is filled with humor and wonderful characters. I really liked how Ms. Ryan lets us get to know the characters and how Elle and Nic are supportive of each other when they start becoming more than just acquaintances. I also liked Christine and how protective she is of Elle.
Overall, Boyfriend for Hire by Kendall Ryan is a great novel, with amazing characters, that I would happily recommend.
