When her parents choose a gruff, battle-hardened admiral as her mate and give her no say at all in the matter, twenty-one-year-old Princess Gael does not hesitate to make her displeasure known. Despite her protests, however, her old-fashioned yet undeniably sexy future mate wastes no time in taking Gael over his knee and baring her bottom for a painful, embarrassing spanking when she defies him … him during an ancient ceremony intended to celebrate their upcoming union.
Fleet Admiral Kai Grenville has no doubt that taming his beautiful, feisty new mate will be a battle, but it is a battle he intends to win. If that means paddling Gael’s beautiful backside bright red with her panties stuffed in her mouth to teach her what happens to sassy mates, then so be it.
Though she does her best to remain indignant about her situation and Kai’s willingness to chastise her as often and as shamefully as he feels it necessary, Gael cannot deny her body’s response to his dominance, and when he claims her the pleasure is more intense than she would have thought possible. But with a plague ravaging their world and Gael’s reckless behavior putting her in danger, can Kai find a way to conquer her heart while also keeping her safe?
Publisher’s Note: Bound to the Admiral includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed the story. The worldbuilding was interesting and the writingstyle flowed well.
I liked the interaction between the main characters. I get why some reviewers found the Admiral not always fair and hard at times toward Gael, but that was not something that bothered me. It is fictional after all.
On a planet where there are Devmaereans, Humans and Kendrants. We have a really good paranormal story in which Princess Gael gets forced to all intents and purposes by her parents to get married to Admiral Kai and she gets spanked twice before she even goes through the mating ceremony. After her mating ceremony Gael then moves to the coast where her new home is. After Gael arrives at her new home, Kai punishes her for more disobedience and he uses the paddle that they got as a joining gift on her. Then he fucks her good. Later he paddles her again for misbehaving and starts using a series of butt plugs on her. Gael gets into trouble a lot. Finally at the end there is a nice HEA that I think you will like. I thought that this book was quite excellent and I enjoyed reading it, I think you will enjoy it too.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and raw passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Erotic with a major turn on. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

Book one in The Lighthouses of Devmaer series a well written story. This is Princess Gael and Fleet Admiral Kai Grenville’s story of two very strong willed people that only love will bring together. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought this was an enjoyable read and showed both male and female main characters to be strong, willful and determined people. It’s my first time reading anything by this author, and I was looking forward to a standalone novel. Although there is an ending to this story I was left wanting more and felt that there is more to be told and explored with this couple. There is plenty of steam and there is also domestic discipline in this story all for the most part very well written.

A character-driven story, lots of world-building…
This book has fun characters, and interesting world-building, but feels like it is laying the groundwork for a Universe in which more will happen, and where Xane and Jules might also get stories.
Kai is an Admiral accustomed to an orderly and structured life, with a chain of command that understands taking orders. Gael, particularly, by comparison, is a young free spirit tired of answering to others, and unsure where certain lines in life are drawn.
I loved the relationship and character-driven aspects of this story, but it leaves a lot of interesting plot threads waiting for a future story and is not action-packed, so this story may not be for those looking for a more plot-driven adventure.

This is not my usual read but I thought the blurb was I interesting and thought I would give it a try. I come to realize that this is definitely not my cup of tea.
The great storyline and the wonderful characters kept me totally engaged as I turned each and every page until the very end!
Bound to the Admiral is the first book I have read by Libby Campbell. It is the tale of Princess Gael who is ordered by her mother to take a mate for four years with Fleet Admiral Kai Grenville. Their relationship begins with a rocky start, but grows into a happy ever after. This book has interesting characters, a brilliantly developed fantasy world, and a wonderful journey to romance.

Princess gael is very stubborn so her parents end up mating her with kai. Kai punishes gael whenever he don’t like what she does. Will they ever learn to love each other? This story has spanking, discipline, drama, and conflict.

Wow!!!!!! A really great story this is to read. I loved both characters especially Kai who will take no lies no nonsence from Gael.
Gael(a princess) has been told to pick a man constantly by her father, but since she has now turned 21 and yet again has not obeyed her mother she has been given to the first male who walked through the castles door. And that man is Kai an admiral. Been rude to him earns her a punishment, the first one of many more to come, the second one that been late for breakfast. Kai has to go back but makes sure that the marriage ia consummated first, he didnt really want this marriage but its only for four years, but both these souls really do care about each other.
No more spoilers but it really is worth a one click my gosh. If your kink is reading spankings and more then this will definately be up your alley. It certainly was mine.
A well deserved 5 star rating
I quite enjoyed reading this futuristic/alien romance with a slightly dark undertone. The plot is well-paced & interesting with some unexpected situations & occurrences. The main characters are fairly well-developed & are inclined to be confrontational with each of them having their own expectations & goals.
There is: a independent-minded young princess (Gael) with healing abilities is given to a domineering Fleet Admiral (Kai) in an arranged/forced marriage/joining, twists & turns, drama, betrayal, threats, danger, enemies, action, adventure, declaration, shock, defiance, ultimatums, trust issues, disobedience, resentment, spankings, punishments, humiliation, vulnerability, devastating news, heartache, hatred, unhappiness, rumors, sickness, abduction, devious plans, escape, a surrogate punisher, deception, domination/submission, compromises, sensual teasing, contentment, love, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion.
I love this book. This is the second book I have read of the author’s, the first being the prequel to this book – Bound to the Past. This book was great. An arranged /forced marriage between a spoiled but independent princess and a tough as nails Admiral. It is a battle to see who will win. Princess Gael is determined to return to her home in the Castle and Admiral Kai is determined to run his marriage with a strong hand – sometimes at the Princess’s expense. If you like books with a D/s element that includes spanking, and steamy sexual scenes you will surely enjoy this book. This book is based in a new world far, far from earth, but the alien part of the story is not overwhelming – meaning the men do not have horns, and such. It has a very good balance been earth and alien which I really like. I have very excited to have found this new author and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I hope it comes out soon. I am quite excited to find a new author to read – so far, her books do not disappoint.

Princess Gael is a headstrong and free spirit. She’s not interest in finding a mate because she is focused on her healing abilities and finding a cure for the latest disease plaguing her people. The King and Queen feel that it’s time for their daughter, Princess Gael, to take a mate. They pick Admiral Kai to be Gael’s mate. Two people who find themselves bound together not for love (right away) but for duty. You wonder if Kai and Gael will ever find their HEA. Plenty of lessons to learn over Kai’s lap. I enjoyed this story from Libby Campbell and can’t wait for the next book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Drawn into this new world, I couldn’t put it down! Princess Gael and Admiral Kai, forced into mating by a decree from the Queen, will have to spend the next four years of their life together. He’s as determined to protect her at all costs as she is to continue to what she wants. The world building here is fantastic! Libby Campbell is a fantastic author, and I’m drawn to this series. I can’t wait for the next book!
I love this second (or is it the first?) book in the series. Gael is the Princess and she has refused to accept being mated. So..her mother, the Queen, decreed that she will mated to the first man that comes to the dinner after her. And that man is Admiral Kai Greenville. He doesn’t want to be mated anymore than Gael, but he accepts it. There is a lot of tension and discord between the two of them, but Kai insists on her obedience. And if he doesn’t get it, he will physically punish her. Gael has a lot of accepting to do and the journey is good. You can feel the love that springs up between them. There is a HEA for them and the series is set up for the next book!
Ok so when I started reading this book, I thought the mom was extreme to do what she does. When there are aliens and the structure is not your normal run of the mill, it makes for a great story. Loved it!

I am loving this new series. There is so much emotion in this story. Kai struggled to allow himself to love her and Gael who struggled to know herself. It is the story of a journey from what they always knew to something new and different. I really liked the ending, it was a sweet surprise. Looking forward to the next story.
