He sees red at even the mere mention of Kennedy Marks.Having escaped a terrifying childhood, Kennedy Marks is now a beloved Blueridge Junction police officer. Until recently, Kennedy has never questioned his role in … intimate relationships. He knows Cody hates him, and the feeling is very much mutual.
Neither man can explain why they despise each other. But when an unexpected kernel of desire takes root in Kennedy’s mind, that ever-present animosity begins to waver. Can the two allow themselves to explore the reasons behind their hatred and cross that thin line between love and hate?

I liked this book. A.D Ellis is a new author for me but I will read more books from this author. I liked the kink and the Dom/sub relationship.
The other characters in this book was a big part of what made this book so good.
I like Christopher as a narrator and he did a great job in this book.
There was so much unresolved sexual tension between Cody and Kennedy from the previous books that I just knew these two would be explosive once they finally gave in and did the deed!
Granted, it takes Jay scheming and locking them in a basement for a weekend until they got it over with (and with that Jay has solidified his place as my absolute favourite character in the series), but once they finally realize their hatred for each other may just have been the other side of love, they go full in and they happily explore their kink together.
Very low-angst, with a kinky sub/Dom dynamic that doesn’t get too strong or heavy, this book can be easily read even by someone who’s not too much into BDSM, I think, and it’s a pleasant ending for a beautiful series about friendship, community and found family!
**Audible Review**
OMG…this series was really good. Loved the BJ boys and I was so anticipating Cody and Kennedy HEA. It was a struggle for them to get there with a little push from Fabolous Jay but the fellas got there. Their coming together was HOT and kinky. We had a little drama but not too much…I know after hearing Kennedy’s background story, I had so many feels for him…I’m so glad Cody was there for him. So glad the guys worked through their issues and finally gave love a try. And what can I say about the narrator…he did an excellent job and brought all the laughter, fun, and sexiness to the story. Hated to see it end but it was well worth the chance
I received a free audible and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Yet another great book by A.D. Ellis. I have been waiting for the story that is Cody and Kennedy. In all of the previous stories we have seen them dance around their mutual feelings for one another. It was great to watch each of them over come their own insecurities and demons to embrace their feelings for one another. Each man in so many were able to become the man that they always wanted to be and not who everyone thought they were. It was great to see what a role the other characters played in helping this relationship grow.
