“Born in Blood. Sworn in Blood. Maybe I hadn’t made a blood oath, but what bound me to him was stronger than any oath. I was bound by love.”
Bound by Love focuses on the couple who first introduced us to the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles: Luca and Aria. They were and still are my favorite couple in this series, so I was excited to be reunited with them again. And how awesome is it that we get a full-length novel instead of a novella? I was a bit scared that I wouldn’t love this book as the first one, but the author did such a great job in continuing Luca and Aria’s story in a very intriguing way. After an HEA you normally don’t get to see the struggles, and everyone knows that especially in a mafia book there are many of those. Cora kept me interested and engaged until the end. I loved seeing these characters interact and also see their POVs of when the previous books took place. Aria’s sisters didn’t really make it easy for Luca as a Capo, and Aria is of course caught in the middle. She wants to protect her siblings which results her going behind Luca’s back.
“There are few good things in our world, Luca, and if you find one, you cling to it with all your might. You are one of those good things in my life.”
Bound by Love is a beautiful and also dark contemporary romance. I absolutely loved seeing Luca and Aria grow as a couple and individuals. They have their ups and downs, and sometimes don’t know how to handle them, but eventually will always come together because they love each other. Some parts of this book were heartbreaking and I wanted to smack Luca, but looking at how he was raised by his sadistic father, his behavior was the only way he knew how to get through things. I especially loved seeing Aria grow in this book, she became a very strong woman, who sometimes acted before thinking, but always had the best intentions. This follow-up to Luca and Aria’s story was done very well, and it makes me even more excited for the upcoming books in this dark, sexy and intriguing world that Cora has created. I think fans of this author/series will be satisfied and enjoy this book.
Luca and Aria aren’t my favorite couple (sorry Cora. . .) but I really like them and I get why Cora loves them so much (they were the first ones and without them we couldn’t have this amazing world and all these fantastic books).
It was really nice to see the happily ever after of Luca and Aria. Even if there was a lot of not so happy moments. I have to say that I really really enjoyed the ending part of the book with all the future things.
This is the 6th book in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles.
God, I just love reading about Aria and Luca.
This was by far the best book in the series.
This book was everything I hoped it would be and so much more.
This book a good story line and reading this book left me at the edge of my seat.
You guys have no idea what is coming.
The chemistry between them is amazing and I was totally smitten with them.
Well done to the author!!!
This book follows Aria and Luca and their POV for some of other books in the series, this starting from Valentina’s wedding to some aaspects of each book including Fabiano’s book. It was interesting to see their versions and how they reacted various events.
This is a great book that brings back Aria and Luca as well as Matteo, Gianna, Romero, and Liliana, told in Aria and Luca’s POV. I love that this was the series’ ending. So appropriate.
The book, as mention, is told in Aria and Luca’s POV. As such, it picks up after their book ends so we see some of the events of Matteo and Romero’s books in their perspective. I read some reviews in which this was critiqued in, but I quite enjoyed it. They were always around in those books and deeply involved in the situations, so this gave light to what they thought of it all. It also covers their life after Liliana’s book, when the other books in the series are being told, I assume. As such, the book goes through quite a few time jumps. They’re not annoying though; there’s just enough that we see a lot of content from the book that’s being covered, and then a jump to the next important thing the series covered.
I’m excited for Fabiano’s book, and anyone else that is written about. It’ll be interesting reading about another group, one made to be an enemy in this one. I don’t understand why we didn’t get it as a part of this series though; instead it is a spin-off. Can’t say this series is left strictly for Luca’s group, since we saw Dante and Growl both get books. As Aria’s brother, his book would make sense in this series. I am excited for book 3 of the spin-offs since it’s Remo’s book. After this one, that’ll be interesting.
Overall though, this is a great addition and ending to the series. It was fantastic being back in Luca and Aria’s POV. I really do like them!
In this book we can see the dynamics of the marriage Aria and Luca; and it is pure perfection. We can see them in a facet never seen before and it is amazing, the descent of this book definitely made me jump out of bed.
That little introduction that gives us to The Camorra Chronicles is disturbing.
That love conquers all
Now what???
Sigh…Luca.
I skipped Cara and Growl’s book because I wanted to read this one. I’m going to take a little break but I’ll come back and read that one and Fabiano’s story and probably fall down the rabbit hole again. I’ve loved Luca and Aria’s story from the beginning and this was the perfect ending. I hope to see them again in future books.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series but I can not express how frustrated and disappointed I am by the amount of errors. Again, in this book there are like 20 minimum and all are because the author translated to English but didn’t use an English speaking editor or proofer, I have proofed her books for free, the errors are contained in the notes section. Luca, Book 0 has a few pages of errors. A few had maybe 6 each but most had way more. It constantly drags you out from your read and disrupts it. It is disappointing and disrespectful especially when these books are like $7 a piece – that’ over $40 so I should not have to deal with a book in such sloppy shape! I’ve wasted my read, gathering the edits for you, for free, when I normally charge, so gather them and update your books and avoid spoiling the read of any future readers!
I love this entire series!
