This was a great book with lots of fun and sweetness. Loved how the hero was like – this is temporary – only to get blindsided! Worth the read!
Unconventional Methods Lead to Unexpected Love
Keaton and Garret’s story is an entertaining, easy read that proves unconventional methods (a temporary marriage) can lead to unexpected outcomes (happily-ever-after). Politics, wealth, and strong personalities are all in play as Garret and Keaton define the direction of their future. Instant attraction, sizzling passion, and kinky exploration are all incorporated into this fast-paced love story. Well-written with an engaging storyline and terrific characters Bought for Protection is a fantastic addition to the Bought by the Billionaire series
Marriage contract
Julia knows her stuff! Garrett and Keaton were meant to be before they ever met. This marriage contract quickly turned to true love. I really liked that Keaton didn’t run and believed in Garrett to be honest with her.
Bought For Protection by Fiona Davenport is book Three in the Bought by the Billionaire Series. This is the story of Keaton Michaels and Garret Hansen. I have read the previous books, but felt this could be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Keaton is a Senators daughter and very protected but she also wants to get out from her father’s control and thinks a marriage would do that…even if its not real. Garret has been hired to protect Keaton but when he learns she is looking into a possible marriage he thinks that would be the best way to keep her safe. But when he meets Keaton, he is instantly smitten with her. Nothing gonna stop him now from keeping her safe and claiming her.
Really enjoyed their story.
This is my favorite in the contract marriage books. I loved Garret. He’s one of my favorite types of heroes. He owns his own, very successful security business so he’s big, scary and very protective. I liked how he was all business until he saw Keaton. For a big, tough guy, he took absolute care of her. He was also pretty possessive of her.
Keaton was a very sweet heroine. She’s been under her father’s thumb her whole life and she actually thinks marriage will be her answer to a little bit of freedom. Sometimes I struggle with the virgin heroines but Keaton had enough spunkiness that her character wasn’t flat. I really liked these two together.
This is a contract marriage trope but one look from Garret and the marriage was very, real. This had everything I like to see in a novella!
When Keaton needs a solution to deal with her overbearing father, she sets out to find a husband via a matchmaker. Unknown to her, Garrett, her new husband, has been hired to provide security for her. But when these two meet, sparks, fireworks and unbelievable chemistry erupts. Things heat up pretty quickly and soon these two are working together to solve the problem of dear old dad.
This is one of those fun, flirty, over the top reads that help to cleanse the reader’s palate and allows you a chance to just sit back, relax and enjoy. No drama, no angst, and no other man or other woman incidents. It goes way beyond anything realistic, and that’s exactly the point. Add in lots of babies and happy ever after and you’re all set for a few hours of smexy times.

Keaton needs to get out from under her fathers scrutiny so whenever friend gives her a business card for Luxe Connections she decides to make an appointment. Keaton figures if she can get married for a little while she would fall off dads radar.
Garret Hansen gets hired by Keaton’s dad and when he finds out she has an appointment with Luxe Connections he gets a invite to be her match. Garret gets her to agree to a contract of one year of marriage just enough to get past his election but the minute they touch at the courthouse the contract is forgotten. Short story but full of a great read.

I’ve got to be in a certain mood for instalove books, but when I am I know the Fiona Davenport team will deliver me the perfectly sexy, satisfying, alphatastic story I’m hankering for.
Billionaire bachelors aren’t my usual cup of tea, but Garrett was just rough around the edges enough to not only catch my interest but keep me wanting more. He didn’t know what he was getting into with Keaton, but once he laid eyes on her he knew he didn’t want to let her go.
Keaton was a little too meek and mild for me, but I did like her. She may have been a little timid, but it took some backbone and grit to implement the Hail Mary plan that got her out from under her father’s thumb, even if I did think it was a bit over-dramatic.
My one disappointment was that I felt there was a huge string left dangling at the end with her Dad and it bugged me. Not enough to dim my enjoyment too much, but my inquiring mind wants to know how that played out.
This was a quick, sexy fun little read with an alphalicious hero that pushed my buttons in all the good ways. You just can’t go wrong with that.
4 Stars.
Keaton wants to be in control of her life and get a say instead of her father dictating everything. When a friend suggests she get married she hires a match maker to start looking for someone to marry. Garret has been hired by her father to watch over her so when he learns that she hired a match maker he signs up to end up being her husband. It’ll be temporary just so he can do his job without any issues from her. However he never counted on how she would make him feel. What will Keaton do when she learns that he was hired by her father?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Another sexy, swoony installment of this series! Garret & Keaton have that instant clicking that I love, and I enjoyed each of them separately, as well. Garret is Alpah-tops & works to protect Keaton from outside forces but also those closer to home. So cute & so steamy!!! Keep a glass of water handy because this one is H O T!!! (AND! Jack! LOL He sorta steals some scenes.) : )
Loved it! I really do enjoy these stories. In this story we have Keaton wanting to get out from under her Dad’s constant attention and gets the idea to marry someone who would do just that, from her best friend. Garrett, security world wide mogul for the government and maybe some royals, agrees to a contracted marriage, without either one of them seeing each other, Lol. Need I say more? Once they lay eyes upon each other, that contract goes up in smoke as Garrett utters the word we are all familiar with, MINE! Loving the alphaness and constant love and devotion that Garrett showers Keaton with. Great story with a sweet epilogue!!! 4.5 stars****

Bought For Protection from new to me authors Fiona Davenport, is a hot novella with a bit of kink. The two main characters, Keaton Michaels and Garret Hansen, have combustible chemistry that is executed beautifully.
Keaton is the daughter of a very conservative widowed senator, which has kept her in the public eye for years. She is trapped by her father’s “family values” mantra and wants to get away from his constant surveillance. She enlists the help of an exclusive matchmaker to find her a husband, because she believes getting married will finally set her free from her overbearing father. Keaton gets matched to Garret Hansen, a security guru worth billions. When hired to protect Keaton, Garret decides that being her husband will provide her with everlasting security. They get married and their temporary arrangement evolves into much more.
I liked this sexy narrative. Keaton and Garret are a hot couple and Garret’s domination in the bedroom is quite erotic. I would have enjoyed a little more story to go along with all of the sex scenes. Overall, a solid erotic read.

This was a fun one. I love a good insta-lust/insta-love Fiona classic, and this was definitely that.
Keaton Michaels has become a prisoner in her own life. Her father’s political aspirations have caused her to have to acquiesce to his commands again, and again over the years, and she’s had it. When her best friend suggests she get married in order to get out from her father’s thumb, she’s hesitant at first. She’s never even been able to really date, due to her father’s deep background checks, and scare tactics. But, then she decides she has nothing to lose, so she contacts the discreet matchmaker to the wealthy that her friend recommends. She has no idea what she’s in for.
Garret Hansen runs a billion dollar security company, and likes his life just how it is. But when Senator Michaels hires him for a shadow security detail on his daughter, Garret has to look for a way in with Keaton, that won’t arouse her suspicions. When he finds out she went to see a matchmaker, he decides the easiest way is to become her husband, via a short-term marriage of convenience. The matchmaker convinces her that this agreement will fulfill both of their needs, and Garret and Keaton just sign on the dotted line, and then meet at the courthouse. Garret isn’t ready for the jolt that goes through him at the sight of her, and the feelings that soon follow.
Garret and Keaton’s chemistry was HOT right off the bat, and they had an instant connection. I loved that they were both honest about their feelings from the start and neither of them shied away from that connection, even though it might have been smarter for them to deny it. Everything between them was honest, except how they met, and of course as the reader, you knew that would be their big issue later on. I liked how they got to know each other, and kept surprising each other even as they continued to grow closer. Their connection was so strong and undeniable, and I loved that.
Keaton’s dad seemed like a real jerk, and I felt bad for her that her only parent was so selfish. He constantly made her feel less than, and like she had to hide her true self in the press, so he could continue to win his elections. I don’t blame her for the drastic measures she took to get away from him. I loved how Garret wasn’t afraid of playing hardball with him either, and let him know how it was going to be right from the start.
This was a short, sexy novella, and I loved the steam level. Even though everything moved quickly, it felt like they really did put in the effort of getting to know each other, once they were already married. I liked that they didn’t take their connection for granted, and continued to work on it. When the truth came out, I loved how Keaton handled herself, and how Garret was truly apologetic. I definitely recommend this story, and overall this series has been quite fun.
This is the third book in Bought by the Billionaires series. I enjoyed reading about Garret and Keaton. It has a good storyline. It was a page turner. I was hooked from the first chapter.

3.75 stars. Bought for Protection was a good, easy read. This Garrett and Keaton’s story. Keaton’s father is running for senator and very worried about his image. He is overbearing and doesn’t allow her much freedom. In order for her to break away from him, she goes to a matchmaking service in hopes to find a husband to marry. Garrett works for a security company and is hired by Keaton’s father to protect her. When he finds out she is looking to get married, he hatches a plan with the help of the matchmaker to marry her, in name alone for one year only, to keep a much closer eye on her and to get her away from her father. But when Garrett meets Keaton for the first time at their courthouse wedding, it is love at first sight and he doesn’t want to ever let her go.
I liked this book a lot. It is quick, instalove, sweet and sexy with a dash of drama. I enjoyed the sweetness and adoration between Garrett and Keaton. I also enjoyed the low angst and easiness of the book.
Overall, Bought for Protection is a fun, entertaining read. I enjoyed it and look forward to more from Fiona Davenport in the future!
A quick and enjoyable read with lots of hot steamy scenes. As some reviewers have said the “insta-love” was a bit cheesy but not a major turn off.
