Before Liz Lemon, before “Weekend Update,” before “Sarah Palin,” Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey’s story can be told. From her youthful days as a … youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon — from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we’ve all suspected: you’re no one until someone calls you bossy.

Reading Tina’s writing was hearing her telling you her story. She is a funny woman.
I needed something funny to read so I decided to give Bossypants a chance. I happen to love Tina Fey and had been eyeballing this book for a while now. I ended up listening to the audio book which comes with a PDF of pictures that she mentions throughout the audiobook and although there are some funny moments involving the pictures, they’re …
I read it a few months ago. Can’t say that I recall much about it.
Laugh out loud funny.
what a hoot!
Funny? Sure. But I was wondering who edited the book. If you are the grammar police, then this might drive you to insanity. If you want a light read with no weight, this might be for you. (Side note: I seem to be seeing more errors in books everyday so it really has me wondering who is editing these things!)
Who doesnt love Tina
Very good book by Tina Fey. Candid and humorous. Worth the read.
I’ll be completely honest, this wasn’t exactly what I’d expected. However, it was interesting to hear about Fey’s years working on SNL 30 Rock.
I wish there were more to her story. I felt that the book was very short. I wouldn’t complain about the length of a book and would never judge a book by its thickness, but in this case, I felt like she hasn’t gone through enough to publish a book, which I know that cannot be true. I would love to hear more from her, either when she has more to …
She is a funny writer with a funny history and a funny….everything!
Love Tina Fey and everything she does! Fun reading!
If you love Tina Fey, you will love this book that takes you from her childhood to present projects. She leads the charge for women actors and writers on SNL and now with her own movies.
Funny at times.
meh
Self important to the point of obsession. A few chuckles, but generally worthless.
Tina Fey is just one of my favorite women in the entertainment world. She is an amazing, regular gal that just worked for everything she has. Her humor is so authentic and her story is fun, funny, and very engaging. Absolutely worth the read and will cause you to only love her more!
Best leadership for women book I have read in a long time. Witty and easy to read.
I actually own the audiobook of this which is very fun since Tina Fey reads it. Also most comes across as a comedy act.
I am not as enchanted with TF as I used to be although she is a remarkable comedic talent. If you’re a fan, you’ll enjoy this memoir.
