Six years before my phone rang and changed my life forever, I made a mistake.I met a girl, we had some fun, and then we had a baby. And I fell pretty damn hard for my daughter. I was going to be there. I was going to give her everything I never had. I was going to have a family. And then her mother disappeared and took my baby with her.And now she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my … she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my life was from my five-year-old daughter asking me if I knew where her Mommy was.
Then came the lawyers. And the demands from her super-rich, super-powerful messed-up family. And the little fact that my ex didn’t just “disappear” she was “presumed dead”.
I don’t live a traditional lifestyle and I’m not in a traditional relationship.
But I can pretend if I have to.
And that was the plan when my two “best friends” and I decided to hire “professional liar” Brooke Alder to be my fake fiancée.
It’s totally gonna work. As long as MY super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family doesn’t get in the way.
Bossy Brothers: Joey is book two in the Bossy Brothers series and features a delicious, burning hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in two’s, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people—non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.

I love how JA Huss writes her stories her own unique way, you never know which path she’ll take you on. I recommend reading Bossy Brothers Alonzo before this one, it’s where Belinda Baker enters and we are introduced to her history with Tony. You really don’t just read a JA Huss book, you experience it. I couldn’t put this one down, there’s some great banter between the characters, swoon-worthy declarations that give all the feels, twist and turns to keep you guessing. I love Tony, Vann , Belinda, and Soshee, and I hope that you enjoy their story as much as I did.
4.5 stars–TONY is the sixth instalment in J.A. Huss’ contemporary, adult BOSSY BROTHERS erotic, romantic suspense series. This is Tony Dumas, Belinda Baker, Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci’s story line. TONY should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of book five ALONZO, and makes references to several other events in other series.
NOTE: TONY and the Bossy Brothers series is interconnected with, and makes references to several events in the previous story lines, and from the author’s other numerous series including the Rook and Ronin Series: The Company Series : Meet Me in the Dark: Three, Two, One: Wasted Lust: the Mister Series- all with connections to the author’s new Creeping Beautiful series.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Tony and Belinda) TONY follows several pathways but focuses on the unfinished ‘business’ between Tony Dumas and Rosalie Thompson. Eight years earlier, Rosalie Thompson, now known as Belinda Baker witnessed something she should not have seen in Key West, Florida, and found herself in Fort Collins, Colorado, a town whose numerous residents are currently in the American WITSEC program but eight years never stopped the hate and vitriol between Rosalie Thompson, and Tony Dumas. Rosalie aka Belinda’s return home (ALONZO #5) to Key West, Florida brought back too many memories and the anger between Tony and Rosalie, and when Rosalie (now Belinda) headed back to Fort Collins, Tony found himself sent on a mission to discover the who and what of the town where Belinda now resides. But all does not go according to plan as Tony and Rosalie’s tempestuous, hate filled relationship pulls in many of the locals, including Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci. As Belinda and Tony continue their heart breaking and hostile battle of malevolence and animosity, Fort Collins’ begins to reveal a few secrets of its’ own, secrets that are going to directly affect everyone involved.
TONY is an unconventional and atypical story of romance and love; a story of hostility and pain between Tony Dumas and Belinda Baker; of the developing relationships between Vann and Belinda, and Soshee and Tony. Rosalie aka Belinda is unable to forgive Tony for sins of the past, and Tony struggles with the real reason he has returned to confront the woman he once knew as Rosalie Thompson. Tony and Belinda will find love and their own happily ever after, but not with one another.
J.A. Huss pens an original story and series of secrets, lies, mystery and betrayal. The interconnected premises reveal some of the classified information, the skeletons, and the networks and relationships that will directly affect the story lines going forward including the author’s new Creeping Beautiful series. So it is with this knowledge, you have been forewarned, that all is not as it has appeared to be, or will be in the future.
Whatever you guys think is going to happen in this book .. it isn’t. It will be exponentially better. That’s all I’m going to say about the plot. Don’t ask for more because you’re not getting it.
I’ve read this series from the beginning with the exception of one book but the storyline that starts with the last book, Alonzo, I love even more than the original Bossy brothers. I should also tell you that if you plan on reading this book without reading Alonzo first, I highly discourage you to do that. You can, technically, but stop it. You’ll kick yourself later if you don’t read it first so just do it.
This story is twisted an convoluted in the most glorious of ways. Julie is not your typical writer to begin with, but she went next level with this one. I really hate that I can’t give you a single detail because I want to explain so badly the greatness but …. Yeah, no, this needs to be experienced with a blank slate. #TRUST
Enjoy the ride 🙂
3.5 stars
As Julie did warn us from the very beginning that this isn’t a conventional love story with the main characters. For me it was different but at the same time it was hard for me to understand how it all unraveled with these 4 characters. Its just that its almost funny how everything is connected.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Just when you think you’ve read everything that there is to read enters JA Huss and proves you wrong.
I’ll be honest this book had me rolling my eyes for the first 40% of the book. I just couldn’t understand what their deal was. So much pain and heartache that was just waiting to explode. Tony and Rosalie had a dark past that never had a closure. And as I continued to read this it was made (in very JA Hussway) clear what needs to be done to achieve said closure.
I loved the way the book ended and that Tony and Belinda (Rosalie) were finally able to breathe with full lungs.

OMIGOODNESS! Bossy Brother’s is probably my all-time favorite series from JA Huss! Tony is NOT a typical romance story – and I loved it! All the POVs made my heart happy! I loved everything about this story from beginning to end! FIVE STARS!!
Wow what a ride getting to know these new characters and reconnecting with the very much loved older ones.
The background story and how everything is coming together is sheer perfection.
Julie you are awsome.
Loved the Vaughn brothers that scene in the tattoo shop was so funny and Vann wow what can I say so much like Spencer Shrike. Can’t wait to find out what happens next.
I just loved this book.
I have been thoroughly enjoying author J.A. Huss’ Bossy Brother series from the beginning, and I thought I had a good idea of where this book would head, but I was way off! Tony’s book has a different vibe than the prior books in this series of standalone novels and it is seriously fun.
Whether you met Belinda Baker in the prior book or the series is new to you, you’re going to love her. Belinda is just the right amount of spunky and vulnerable. She is an artist from Key West who is now working at the Vaughn Family tattoo parlor in Fort Collins, Colorado. Yep, Ms. Huss has taken her readers back to FoCo and Sick Boyz! I love Belinda’s pink hair and cowboy boots with short skirts. I have a crisp picture of her in my head, and it brings a smile to my face when I think of the character.
“I’m adrift in a sea of mistakes” –Belinda
Juxtapose to her diminutive stature are the Vaughn brothers. Vann, the youngest, is just as built and brawny as his brothers, but he has a charmingly romantic side that draws all sorts of attention and makes him swoon-worthy.
“I’m not a risk. I’m a f@#king promise” – Vann
Tony Dumas, who readers may have also met in the prior book, is obsessed with the Belinda he used to know. His obsession with her is more than a little strange, and it takes another obsessed stalker to get his mind off Belinda and to start noticing the odd goings on in FoCo.
Who is this other stalker? None other than Soshee Ameci. I fell in love with this character too. I was blown away by her big reveal! Ms. Huss never fails to surprise me with her twists.
These four people are thrown together for all sorts of wrong reasons, but stay together for the very best of reasons. I loved their interactions and chemistry.
Bossy Tony feels like a great second-act in a three-act play. There is a lot of great relationship building, character growth, and enough forward momentum in the storyline that by the end you’re salivating for the next juicy bit. Pay attention to the details, because as usual Ms. Huss has thrown in few red herrings with the clues in this fun romance.
This is the 6th book in this amazing series and my word, this gifted author certainly knows how to weave a story which is unique and a crazy journey throughout. This is Tony and Belinda / Rosalie, and Vann and Soshee’s story. This is a well written tale which this talented author has done an awesome job in penning, and is intense and filled with secrets, drama, danger, twists, mystery, and throw in the odd curveball along the way and this is an entertaining, humorous, and all-consuming read. I was hooked throughout, and I highly recommend for all.
Every single time I think I’m getting a handle on this world of JA Huss’, I’m dropped down a peg or two. Whatever you are expecting to happen in this story? Expect something else and in the end it will be much better than you expected. I dislike Tony…I can say that. I loved Vann. Belinda left me somewhere in the middle. I went through all manner of different thoughts and feelings..and in the end? I loved them all, even Midnight (you’ll understand IF you read this). Never have I read an author who completely astounds me as JA Huss. Her ability to bring all of her worlds together almost seamlessly is absolutely amazing.
Tony melted my heart! I think it was great that Tony would go all the way to Ft. Collins from Key West to find Belinda and try to figure out his feelings for her and hers for him. This story had me laughing, crying and wanting to slap a few men upside the head.
It’s nice to see Belinda and Tony get their crap together. Even if they are finally waking up and realize their past was all wrong. But Hey, they are getting a HEA. Things are going to pop off in Colorado. Stories will be told, new relationships will begin and stalking will have them trying to figure out what is wrong in this little town. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Julie has written a synopsis that is intentionally vague gives nothing away and makes you believe you know what to expect but the actual story couldn’t have been more different than I imagined. The storyline is interesting to say the least,it is intense and passionate with so many curve balls I lost count. This is not just Tony and Belinda’s story you have Vann and Soshee in the mix in this tangled web of intrigue and passion. You may think you know where Julie is going to take the story but buckle up this is one wild ride.
Bossy Brothers Tony
This incredible piece of fiction was devoured in one sitting. There was no other option but to read from beginning to end, paying no attention to the outside world. It was THAT good!
This story is set in The Bossy Brother’s World and is the next book after Bossy Brothers: Alonzo. All of these books have been pure fictional gold and I wasn’t disappointed in the least!
Tony is not at all who I expected him to be. In Bossy Alonzo, he was broody and angry and, at the beginning of Bossy Tony, this is exactly who he appears to be. What I didn’t expect, were his layers, his raw intensity, his need!
Belinda (Rosalie) is complex, adrift and in total denial. She thinks that running from Fort Collins has saved her but she’s about to find out that nothing can erase the past.
Tony and Belinda tell the story from their points of view, but as we find out, their stories are not just about them. Van Vaughn (charming, beautiful and utterly devoted) and Soshee (untamed, bold and unashamedly unique) become pivotal to this continually unfolding story. The lives and personalities of these characters are all consuming and so well written and the ties to other J A Huss worlds makes my heart happy!
In true J A Huss style, Bossy Tony rips away any pre-conceived ideas you might have had about what’s happening, turns you upside down and inside out before pulling all of the frayed edges and loose ends back together in the most entertainingly spectacular fashion.
There are so many things I’d like to say about this book, but I don’t think I’d ever do it enough justice. You just need to read it to believe how good it is!
Honestly with a synopsis like that, I had NO idea where this book was going and then..wow! Such a great read and loved the lighthearted areas, and it’s a very interesting storyline line that I actually was quite surprised that I enjoyed.
I only encountered a few like it, and I encourage to see more like it.
Please Read Alonzo’s Book before you read this one, or you will be missing quite a bit.
I Will Give Zero Spoilers.
I Was Given This ARC for an Honest Review.
I Give this book a 4/5 Star Rating.
HEA(?): Yes!
Heat: 4/5
Romance: 3.5-4/5
Suspense: 4/5
Drama: 4/5
Completely Recommend, but please read Alonzo’s first.
I don’t usually order my reviews like this but I wanted to get my opinion of this book while it was clear and on the top of my head and then decided to keep it this way 🙂
I’ll premise this with saying that JA Huss recommends you read Bossy Brothers book 5 Alonzo before diving into this book. There are ties with past characters and storylines you will want to know before reading about Tony.
And what the heck, Julie?! What did you do? You just gave your readers one of the best Bossy Brothers books with amazing characters that had chemistry off the hook and then you told it in a very unconventional way. It’s told in dual POV, but this story really focuses on 4 characters and their journeys are all intertwined with one another. It was insane and so well played out. I couldn’t have asked for more.
We first were introduced to Vann and Belinda/Rosalie in Alonzo’s book. These two are friends that have worked in the Sick Boyz tattoo shop in Colorado for years. But they are only friends. When Belinda returned back to Key West with her friend Tara, Tony got all up in her business and basically followed her back and stalked her in Colorado. There is something there between them and yet he doesn’t know what. So he came to “F#ck her and Forget her”. Because, ya know, that works.
So, we have now have Vann and Belinda back in CO and Tony that has followed Belinda/Rosalie. But who’s our fourth character? Why, it’s Soshee Ameci (why does that name sound so familiar, btw?) and she has a thing for Vann. So much so, that she basically stalks him from across the street of his tattoo shop. 2 stalkers and 2 friends. What can happen now? Honestly, you have no idea! Because this is where JA Huss shines. The dialogue and banter between the characters and the chemistry is just off the charts. It’s deliciously entertaining, fun and honestly a little swoonworthy too. It made me want more of these four.
After connecting and finding out what each character wants, these four find out more than they bargained for. And of course, this is where Huss gives us clues and connections and maybe just maybe more twists to these brothers and other characters from past books. I’m here for those connections and twists. I’m a long time Huss reader and I LOVE finding these Easter eggs. Even if you’re newer to this author or this series, she will make you want to read more. More about the Company, the Way, etc. But don’t worry if you haven’t, this ride will totally be worth it. I can already tell.
This book was well plotted, well thought out, sexy, funny and flowed so well. With 4 likable main characters that all held their own, this was actually surprising to me. This story may be my favorite of the Bossy bunch so far and it’s not to be missed. Vann is the man we all want in our corner. Rough and Tough on the outside, but a heart of gold on the inside. And Tony just needed to meet his match. With a connection that he didn’t see coming, I loved the pairing and thought they were almost scene stealing. I simply cannot wait for more of this world and see where these connections are going to go.
“This love I have for you….it’s the kind that last through things. Past things. Into new things. I’m here. I’m not going anywhere. You’re not going to lose me. It’s just not that kind of love.”
I loved this one. Heck, I love them all! I was enjoying this story so much, I was sad to see it come to an end.
Love, hate, mystery, and HEA. What more could you want in a book?!
Tony and Belinda’s story was nothing I expected and I loved it even more because of that. Seriously, I could not be happier with the direction this book went. I’ll have to come back and edit this when I can figure out how to rave about the book without giving anything away. If you’re a longtime Huss reader you will love the blasts from the past! We are going to some very exciting places with this series and I will be along for every moment
Tony is book 6 in the brilliant Bossy Brothers series by JA Huss, and just when I think I have a favourite brother… another comes along. Now, Tony may have his faults but I couldn’t help falling for him and the other fantastic characters in this unique and fun read. The storyline is amazing, it’s filled with mystery, suspense, but it’s the twists that had me positively gleeful!
I love the world that the Company exists in. I find the interconnection between the different series’ to be exciting, thrilling, and totally absorbing. I highly recommend!
This series just gets better and better. I absolutely love this book and the characters are absolutely phenomenal. I couldn’t wait too read this story because I was dying too see who ended up with who. I won’t say who ends up with each other because I hate spoilers. All I got too say is this is JA at her finest. The story will have you hooked from the start and not wanting it too end. Another mind blowing 5 star read that everyone must read.
