Six years before my phone rang and changed my life forever, I made a mistake.I met a girl, we had some fun, and then we had a baby. And I fell pretty damn hard for my daughter. I was going to be there. I was going to give her everything I never had. I was going to have a family. And then her mother disappeared and took my baby with her.And now she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my … she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my life was from my five-year-old daughter asking me if I knew where her Mommy was.
Then came the lawyers. And the demands from her super-rich, super-powerful messed-up family. And the little fact that my ex didn’t just “disappear” she was “presumed dead”.
I don’t live a traditional lifestyle and I’m not in a traditional relationship.
But I can pretend if I have to.
And that was the plan when my two “best friends” and I decided to hire “professional liar” Brooke Alder to be my fake fiancée.
It’s totally gonna work. As long as MY super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family doesn’t get in the way.
Bossy Brothers: Joey is book two in the Bossy Brothers series and features a delicious, burning hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in two’s, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people—non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.

JA Huss is my #1 favorite author. I have many I call favorite authors, but Huss is the top of that list. This book is one reason why.
BOSSY BROTHERS: TONY is not the typical romance. In fact, the first 40% of this book I was depressed. Not happy with how things were going at all, thinking what the heck are you doing!?!? Knowing she gave us a hint before we even started reading, wanting to disregard it because that’s not how it’s done(.) But then the mystery started to surface, the good feels of what was happening began to grow with the story, and I just sighed. I thought, this is why I love JA Huss’s books. She convinced me this is how the story should unfold, and I was happy with it all. I’m so looking forward to the next part.
I laughed at her EOBS! If I hadn’t had the revelations I did while reading…she would have been speaking to me. But, I could smile and think. TRUTH. She speaks the truth.
If you haven’t, get Alonzo’s story so you can read this one. Then go to the beginning of the Bossy Brothers series, then go to the very beginning, ROOK AND RONIN series. Follow her reading order and enjoy the ride. You won’t regret it!
5 Stars
As with any JA Huss book, expect the unexpected. I have loved this series so much and Tony’s book just keeps adding to that love. It amazes me the ability JA Huss has to weave words the way she does and create stories that just suck you in and leave you hungry for more. If you have been following this series, then you definitely don’t want to miss out on this awesome addition. I devoured this book in one sitting. I just couldn’t read it fast enough.

Tony and Belinda’s story went in a direction I wasn’t anticipating and I loved the plot twist. You don’t need to have read all the books in the series but I recommend it (at least Alonzo’s story). Enjoyed the suspense, steam and intrigue in this story lots
Unconventional storytelling at its best! 5 stars
This book was unconventional storytelling at its best! You need to read Bossy Brothers: Alonzo first. I don’t want to give too much away, but a part of it is in the blurb. The two POVs, Tony and Belinda, were not the ones falling in love, and it was genius! They do have a past together, and it was filled with rage and hate not love even though they were a couple. Tony can’t get over seeing Belinda back in his Florida hometown. Once things in Florida were settled she leaves with her friend Vann to go back to Colorado (that’s in the Alonzo book). This book starts with Tony following her like an obsession back to Colorado, because he needs to get her out of system. Belinda just wants him to leave, but they have unfinished business. They needed closure, and when the closure finally came it was cathartic to read. Tony and his one (not Belinda!) were perfect together. He was his real self with her, and it was brilliant. If you read the Alonzo book, it will not be a surprise to see Belinda and Vann circling each other. Vann made me swoon several times, and he was just so dreamy! They were the perfect friends to lovers trope. There was a little bit of secrets, mystery and suspense intertwined with the romance, and it was a captivating story to read! I definitely enjoyed and recommend this book and the Bossy Brothers series!
*I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*
Wow. I do not think I have read a romance book like this one. It was extremely unconventional, but it was refreshing!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the way JA Huss twisted this story to cover all of these characters so completely. I had no problem feeling connected to all of them and falling for each one of their love stories. I never felt like this story should have went any other way and I can truly appreciate what it takes to get a storyline like this to work the way it did.
Yes, there is a huge plot to keep up with and yes, it is still all a mystery, but I have full faith that it’s all going to unravel next book and be revealed and all the loose ends will be tied up. And for that, I’m extremely excited.
I could not get enough of this story. I loved the characters and how they entwined with each other and how well I was able to become part of their thought process and feelings. The story line had the perfect pace and kept my attention the whole time. My favorite part of this read was just the mental thought process of all the characters involved and the overlaps and how nothing was what was expected. And leave it to this author to throw in a fabulous subplot within that now has me anxiously awaiting the next read.
Make sure to read Alonzo before reading Tony as it is a continuation of some of those characters and storyline. This romance is told in a different way that I haven’t read before and am not sure to feel about it. It is told in dual POV but they are not the ones that end up together. They had a relationship 10 years ago that wasn’t healthy and it didn’t end well. This is their story of moving on and how they are all connected. Even though I wasn’t a fan of how it was told, I really enjoyed the storyline and am dying to know what happens next!
This is the sixth book in the Bossy Brothers Series, an amazing romantic suspense Series! The Series with intertwined characters are the best! For a better understanding, you have to read Alonzo before this one. Tony’s story is perfect, and I think this is my favorite book in the Series! It’s fun, sexy/steamy, strange, intriguing, and captivating. Tony is such a complex and intriguing character! Tony, Belinda, Vann, and Soshee journey is outstanding. Despite the fact this story is about Tony, Vann Vaugh is definitely my favorite character. He is a handsome tattoo artist, caring, and supportive. Belinda and Soshee are sassy, strong, and beautiful. The supporting characters are great, and they have an important part in the story. The storyline has some unpredictable twists and turns. If you like stories intricate, intriguing, twisted, interwoven, with amazing characters, this one is for you! In fact, this Series, and the entire JA Huss’s Company world are for you. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I plan to revisit this Series in audiobook as soon as possible. Now, I can’t wait to know more about the Sick Boyz!
I can’t even say I am surprised that JA Huss threw me for a loop with this book. I thought we were going to get a story about Tony and Belinda but we ended up with a story about them plus Vann and Soshee. So for me, it felt like two for one. LOL
This story was filled with so much chaos and angst it was fun to be back in Colorado in a familiar stomping ground where a little more is revealed. And where we fall in love with a new book boyfriend : ) because Vann is so swoon-worthy.
Tony is the 6th book in the Bossy Brothers. You don’t have to read the first 4 books but you do need to read Alonzo Book #5 to know the important characters & storyline for Tony.
In Alonzo, book 5 we were introduced to Tony Dumas (Alonzo’s brother), Belinda/Rosalie (she is in the witness protection program) Which is in question about but you will need to read the story to figure out why I said that. And, Vann Vaughn (he is one of the Sick Boyz tattoo artist.
I LOVE Vann, he is such a romantic and I love bad boy Tony but I didn’t like him at all when he was with Belinda. Tony travels from Key West to Fort Collins Colorado. He has a job to do but he also knows that Belinda is there. Neither Tony nor Belinda are in love with each other. You as the reader need to read what happens next! It wasn’t what I was expecting. Although I am not sure what I was expecting!
I have a friend that highly recommended JA Huss’ books and I can see why. I enjoyed reading Tony’s story and loved the ending!
Now this is what I found out and didn’t realize. There are a lot of books that have been written by this author and they are all interconnected. That’s a lot of books to want to read. Now I want to go back and read them all so I can see how they are connected!
Cracking good story, brilliantly written!!
Oh, how Julie Huss likes to weave a tangled web within her stories and throughout an entire series of books, not to mention a ‘universe’ of series. From the very beginning with Rook & Ronin, through the Mr. Series, and beyond, to this ‘Bossy Brother’s’ collection and the newest ‘Creeping Beautiful’ books, The Company has been one dominating feature, and it’s still here, it’s tendrils lashing and binding.
This book was slightly different than most as it doesn’t just tell one couples’ story but two. Belinda and Tony were once a thing, but now… not so much. They have a history and it’s complicated but it’s not what drives them.
Vann Vaughn drove Belinda to Key West, and now he’s stuck here. He can’t leave and he doesn’t understand why. What’s keeping him here? Not the girl he’s fantasizing about? Right? Haha. Right!
Mystery, suspense, and some tie-ins from previous books, even when you think you know where it’s all going, it’s usually wrong. One of these days we’ll finally get to the bottom of it, and we’ll be like. Noooooo!! Because then there will be no more tales of the unexpected from JA Huss.
J.A. Huss can play with characters, storyline and narratives so beautifully that I never know what is coming my way. Bossy Brothers: Tony is an unconventional romance to say the least.
It is superficially the story of Tony and Belinda. But once I started, I found the story is far from being so simple. In true J.A.Huss style, Tony has twisted and dark obsessions rule his mind. And what are Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci doing in this story? The mystery builds up slowly and complexity rules the storyline.
I have very conflicting emotions regarding the characters. I kind of love-hate them. And I am also oddly intrigued with their motivation, their passion and their feelings. It’s a bit creepy, a bit angsty and whole lot of adrenaline rush.
I can guarantee you won’t be able to stop reading once you start reading Bossy Brothers: Tony by J.A. Huss. A brilliantly written and very different kind of romance. But nothing is a limit when it comes to J.A. Huss.
Received ARC for honest review
I found this intriguing with more mystery and suspense while Tony figures out what his feelings are for Belinda. It’s funny and some shenanigans ensure that lightens up the danger. I found myself smiling more of than not and that just makes me like a book so much more.
Bossy Brothers: Tony by J.A. Huss is the story of the last brother. The story picks up a short time after Alonzo ends. Tony goes to Fort Collins Co. to get information from Vann Vaughn regarding his knowledge of the FBI. While in Fort Collins Tony has decided to deal with his feelings with Belinda aka Rosalie. Initially I didn’t know how I was feeling as I was reading this book. I was on the fence. However as I got further into the story and got to where Tony and Soshee met, I started liking this story more and more. Tony started out as a real tool but turned into a Prince Charming. The relationship between Tony and Soshee was the best part of the book for me. Vann of course is a nice guy who any woman would love to have. He is a real Prince Charming from the gate and is still determined to get Belinda. We got two relationships for the price of one. The resolution between Tony and Belinda was not only funny but heart felt. I was a little confused and left with some questions with the wrap up of the FBI storyline but other than that I really enjoyed this story. Soshee stole the show for me. 4 stars for me.
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
I am a new reader for this author. The first book I ever read by her was Alonzo’s story and this sorta continues that book and thats why i could not wait to dig into this story. I LOVED Alonzo’s story, seriously loved it. It was hot and fun and very full of surprises. This story while it includes Tony and Belinda’s story, it was very very different.
For one it features two girls/women, Belinda (told in her POV) and Soshone (She has a crush on Vann), and two guys – Tony (told in his POV), and Vann, who we also met in Alonzo. I loved Belinda’s POV, she was the character I loved and the reason I wanted to read this book and I did enjoy her story alot. Vann was just as awesome in this story as he was in Alonzo’s book.
I thought Tony had a thing for Belinda based on the last book but its more of shall we say a complicated relationship. Personally it was too much for my taste in a romance book. I was not a fan of him in this book and at a point I started skimming his sections.
I ate up Vann and Belinda’s scenes together and I even re-read them sometimes because they were so romantic together. I loved seeing these two together. They are very much best friends and Vann is a sweetheart.
Some things that kinda grossed me out in this story was the lack of condoms. Sometimes they are okay in a story when characters go without but the lack of condoms here made for me going ick instead of thinking it was hot. Belinda ends up having sex with 2 guys in this book and Tony with two women, and the same for Vann and Soshone. So the lack of condoms was a big deal for me in relation to this story. I also tend to not enjoy seeing sex with other partners than who the main couple ends up with, and so I did not enjoy that aspect in the story.
There was also a convulted part of the story that connected to a bunch of other books the author has written, not just Alonzo but with her Rook and Company stories, and I was pretty lost during that scene and what the characters were discovering.
That said I am glad I read this story because I adored Vann and Belinda’s scenes in this book and I loved Vann’s brothers as well. I loved how Belinda got her happy ever after story at the end and I am fascinated by Vann’s brothers.
Belinda and Tony’s story is one of my top favorites in the amazing Bossy Brother’s Series.
Wow, the story is masterfully crafted, with crazy plot twists I never saw coming. The characters are likable and believable, including the secondary characters that complement the story with their curveballs, and surprises.
The story is raw, intense, original, intriguing and entertaining. I absolutely recommend this books, and the whole series.
You really never know what to expect when you read a book by JA Huss, but you can be sure it will be a captivating and wild ride. She gave us just that in Bossy Brothers: Tony, which takes us back to her Bossy Brothers world. This time we meet Tony Dumas and yet, we get so much more then expected. It tells the story of four characters and how their stories are intertwined in ways we may not have saw coming, but it was perfect none-the-less. It was a fabulous read and I devoured it! The story was full of surprises, intrigue, laughs and twists.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Bossy Tony wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be. It was so much better! Tony Dumas has a feeling he needs to see his ex Rosalie aka Belinda Baker and get things settled between them. His brother Alonzo sends him to Colorado for business, so Tony figures he will deal with his Belinda issues while he’s there. Things don’t go quite as planned and he meets Soshee Ameci at her family’s restaurant. The two form an unlikely friendship that I loved! They were so much fun together.
Belinda is furious that Tony is in town and does her best to ignore him. While ignoring Tony, her best friend Vann Vaughn begs her for a date. A chance. He’s been in love with her for years and he’s tired of waiting for his chance. Omg! I think Vann Vaughn is the sweetest hero JA Huss has ever written. I fell in love with him during his pursuit of Belinda.
This story was so much fun to read. While the two love stories in one was unexpected, it was thoroughly enjoyed. There’s also a little bit of a mystery aspect to it that ties into the rest of the Bossy books. I had so much fun reading his story and I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Bossy series.
Love that we went back to Fort Collins, LOVE IT.
Getting little snippets of all the other characters is always a plus ok my book. Getting a little more info an “The Company”.
Loved the dual POV, although I have to say that I had a very hard time liking Tony, and have to say that I prefer the parts that had Vann, I wouldn’t mind more Vann.
Belinda was a great character, I like her spark and her honesty and really those two were meant for each other
As always very entertaining, steamy ( without taking from the plot) and mysterious what more can one ask for.
The Bossy Brothers have been nothing but a good time! This book has an interesting point of view as the two main characters don’t end up together! At first I wasn’t sure about this but it ended up being twice the fun!! And did I mention twice the steamy fun! I absolutely love both female leads here and I could read about Vann Vaughn for the rest of my days! I highly recommend this entire series and actually everything JA Huss writes!
