Six years before my phone rang and changed my life forever, I made a mistake.I met a girl, we had some fun, and then we had a baby. And I fell pretty damn hard for my daughter. I was going to be there. I was going to give her everything I never had. I was going to have a family. And then her mother disappeared and took my baby with her.And now she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my … she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my life was from my five-year-old daughter asking me if I knew where her Mommy was.
Then came the lawyers. And the demands from her super-rich, super-powerful messed-up family. And the little fact that my ex didn’t just “disappear” she was “presumed dead”.
I don’t live a traditional lifestyle and I’m not in a traditional relationship.
But I can pretend if I have to.
And that was the plan when my two “best friends” and I decided to hire “professional liar” Brooke Alder to be my fake fiancée.
It’s totally gonna work. As long as MY super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family doesn’t get in the way.
Bossy Brothers: Joey is book two in the Bossy Brothers series and features a delicious, burning hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in two’s, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people—non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.

Nothing says welcome home like a book that takes place in JA Huss’ version of Fort Collins, CO. Tony Dumas is in town to check things out for his brother, Alonzo. He may also be lurking around to settle the score with his love-to-hate gal, Belinda. (Tony’s story is best served after reading Bossy Brothers Alonzo.) One of the best things about lurking in Colorado comes in the guise of Belinda’s coworker, bestie and all around hottie, Vann Vaughn. He just happens to be the littlest brother in law of one Spencer Shrike (yes!!) The triangle becomes a square when we connect to Soshee Ameci, red headed vixen/waitress and not so secret stalker of Vann. The story heats up as these four work through and not around some very real feelings. Things get even more interesting as they eliminate their degrees of separation and see things from another’s point of view. This story was entertaining, funny at times, and downright precious. Who couldn’t use a dose of golden sunshine? I absolutely loved it.
Wowzers!!! I’m all about this book! Tony is a dirty boy who needs to see Belinda one more time to just ravage her and get her out of his mind. Belinda hates Tony with a passion but can’t seem to stay away. Good guy Vann Vaughn has been waiting for Belinda to notice him, and Soshee wants Vann to herself. Put these four firecrackers together and you get an explosion. The sexual tension boils over and combusts time and time again. And, since it’s JA Huss, we get that killer backstory.
**** Bossy Brothers Tony should be read after Bossy Brothers Alonzo**** Tony is tying up loose ends in Colorado. Of course things are much more f’ed up than he could ever imagine. The twists and turns are crazy!! I can’t wait for the next book to figure out what’s going to go down!
Also. Vann is amazing. I could read a series of books on the Vaughn brothers. Especially Vann. He’s quite dreamy.
Julie totally threw me off with this story in the best of ways! We first meet Belinda Baker in Bossy Brothers – Alonzo and learn that she and Tony have a past. There was a lot of tension between them in Alonzo’s story so I was dying to see what was gonna happen with them. Was it going to be all “I really hate you!” but they really love each other and are too stubborn to admit it until someone basically slaps them upside the head? Or was it a case of the reader not having the whole story just yet about Belinda being sent away eight years ago? With Julie, any number of things could happen!
The first thing that was different about this book was this really isn’t a story that focuses on just Tony and Belinda. It focuses on Tony and Belinda, but also Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci. The question was, who was supposed to end up with who?
It was so much fun being back in Fort Collins! If you’ve read Julie’s Rook and Ronin series, you will be well acquainted with the town and Sick Boyz tattoos and the Vaughn family. If you haven’t been in that world yet, I highly recommend hunkering down and binge reading that series. They take place before the events in Bossy Tony and I loved the little snippets that Julie wove through Tony and Belinda’s story that just made me so nostalgic that I feel a re-read coming on!
There’s twists and turns galore in this story, and a lot of things get revealed that made me do a double take. It also sets up a lot of things for the next book, which I’m dying for right now!! I honestly don’t know how Julie keeps everything straight in these books. There’s connections galore to her other series’ that long time readers will pick up on and delight in, but she’s written them in such a way that new readers will not be confused or feel like they’re missing anything. I am just having so much fun reading all of these Bossy books!
As far as Tony and Belinda? I was completely surprised at how their stories turned out. But very happy for both of them. I closed this book with a huge smile on my face, rubbing my hands together in anticipation for what’s going to happen next!
Love, hate, and hot tatted guys…
It’s got to be tricky writing two intertwined love stories, but this one is amazing. Tony was not my favorite character though. Belinda and Vann stole the show. Tony was actually quite unappealing at the start, until Soshee brought out his better self. Soshee was surprisingly likeable. I didn’t expect to end up liking them all, they were all complex, but that just fit with the very complex storyline. Even though the romances are locked in, the mysterious “Company”/“The Way” is still in the shadows. Can’t wait for the next installment!
I have to say I really like this author’s books. And this one had me smiling and wanting to read more to know the end.
But I have to say there were parts that I really didn’t like, went you read it you know what I was talking about. Just one day apart and no protection that is no no for me.
I really liked Belinda and Vann. He is the definition of perfect. And She deserves a man like that. She was left alone and with no one to build a new life been so young all for her ex.
Tony is just not my cup of tea, I hope he really has changed. His new girl is the best part of him. Is my opinion.
Belinda is one sassy smart sexy woman. Vann is one hot alpha man. Soshee is one sexy hot woman. Tony is one complicated
man. Loved all the twist and turns in this story. Could not wait to see where everyone was going. Did not see the ending coming at all. Was hooked from the start.
Wow this was not what I thought it was going to…it’s actually so much better!! Book 6 in the Bossy series follows Anthony “Tony” Dumas, Belinda Baker (you might remember her from Bossy Brothers: Alonzo), Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci. Belinda is a tattoo apprentice at Sick Boyz Ink in Colorado while in the witness protection program. That is until she goes back to where she came from in Key West with a friend. Well, things would never be the same or safe again! Tony remembers “Belinda” very well so he’s shocked when she shows back up after 8 years! All the crew is back along with some well remembered Fort Collins characters as well, when Tony just can’t seem to let this girl go! What mayhem and secrets will be unveiled this time. With this group you know around every turn is another secret. I love how all these books have cameos and little Easter Eggs from prior characters. This isn’t just about Tony and Belinda though no, Vann Vaughn and Soshee Ameci are also involved but I’m not saying how. Obsession never seemed so good! A cleverly crafted, different type of romance I think you’ll enjoy. Hope I haven’t confused you too much lol. Told in dual POV
