Jesse Boston is the man of my dreams. He’s super sexy, super rich, and super funny. He gets all my jokes, he treats me like a princess, and our love life is smokin’ hot. So I’m gonna marry him. I’m not real picky about how that happens and if my mother wants to have her say, fine. That’s fine. She gave birth to three boys and just one girl. So I get it. She NEEDS a wedding. But when she invites my … wedding.
But when she invites my childhood nemesis, KAREN, to plan our wedding AND be one of my bride’s maids? Uh—no. It’s not happening.
Karen Krakken Channing will not plan my wedding, will not be at my wedding, and she’s certainly not going to be IN my wedding.
Luckily my jet butler, Miles, and my almost-husband get this great idea!
We’re going to elope to Vegas on Christmas Eve eve, get hitched in the most ridiculous way possible, and then fly home in time for Christmas Eve dinner.
We’ve got it all figured out.
Nothing can go wrong.
We will have one simple wedding in like… a drive-through chapel, and call it good.
Take that, KAREN!
Bossy Bride features Jesse and Emma getting almost-hitched on a roller coaster, tricked into being the stars of a pirate show, jumping out of an airplane, and saying their vows in front of two huge Italian families who don’t speak English. It’s a rompy, whirlwind trip down a rabbit hole of “Fantasy” Vegas weddings planned by a man called “Fingers” and just when you think nothing else could go wrong—a mermaid descends from the ceiling.

Talk about one crazy ride with Emma & Jesse with their wedding. So many different scenarios that happened that I wouldn’t want to endure such a hassle, because I think I’d go insane lol. Of course there’s a reason behind it. It’s nice to see everyone together and I can’t wait for Alonzo’s book!
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading more about Jesse and Emma- their original story was so quirky and fun and this one was no different. It was a little over the top and had those “yeah right” moments but it all comes together in the end and I loved how JA Huss gave them their HEA while sprinkling a little of all of our favorite Bossy Boys/family.
Bossy Bride is the next book in JA Huss’ Bossy Brothers series. Jesse and Emma are ready to take the next step and get married. Emma has her vision of an intimate ceremony for her nuptials. She must know that her mother has other plans for her only daughter. As Mrs. Dumas’ plans come to light, Emma’s patience is growing thin. The final straw is when her mother hires Emma’s high school adversary as the wedding planner. To keep her sanity, Emma convinces Jesse to elope to Las Vegas for a quickie, private ceremony where she has control…or so she thinks.
I love this story not only because I can spend time with my favorite Boston Brother, but because Bossy Bride is a fun read. The wedding runs into so many bumps, the reader wonders if this couple will ever make it to the alter. I laughed often at the hijinks. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Huss story if it was total suspense free.
Jesse shares a little more of his backstory. We learn about Christmas time for the young Boston boys. What a touching addition to their young lives. There are a few minutes towards the end when I wonder what is going to happen. Let’s face it Jesse is still a Boston, and there are still people who aren’t his fans. I loved this adventure into Huss’ Boston world. I love that everything is happening at Christmas time. I’ll say again, I loved it! A romantic adventure, and a must read!
You are cordially invited to the wedding(s) of the year.
To celebrate the marriage(s) of Emma Dumas and Jesse Boston.
Meet us in Vegas!
Wedding garb optional.
You’re in for a rollercoaster ride of mayhem and madness.
Weird and wonderful characters, and crazy hilarity throughout.
If you only attend one wedding this year, make it this one.
You won’t be disappointed!
Omg this was BRILLIANT!!!
I absolutely loved Bossy Bride and will say that it is officially my favorite of the series. I laughed so hard during most of it that my husband started giving me the “are you mental” look. So of course, I did what I had to do and shared with him all the hilariousness that occurred while he looked at me with a blank expression. I’m sure I sounded crazy, but at that point I just had to tell someone!!
The story is the continuation of Jesse and Emma who are now engaged. Emma finds out that not only did her high school nemesis “Krakken Karen” move back to key west and is living catty-wonkus diagonal to them, but that her mother asked Karen to plan Emma’s wedding and to be a bridesmaid!! WHAT?!?! Emma is not going to have any part of that and takes off to Vegas with Jesse so they can do things their way.
This is when things start getting hilarious… they purchase the Pick Three Buffet weddings from Fingers Fantasy Weddings and go on a wild ride (for real!!). There’s the rollercoaster, the pirate ship, the skydiving… which nothing goes right.
Then there’s the Italian mafia family… and then the big secret is revealed….(what? Did you think I was going to provide spoilers?? Ptshhhh. Never!)
What I will tell you is that it will blow your mind and love it!!! This book is like a Bossy version of The Hangover.
I give this book !!
I recieved an ARC for my honest review!!
Jesse Boston is my favourite Boston brother and the shenanigans that Jesse and Emma get up to had me laughing many times. The weird and wacky thoughts that go through Emma’s head were hilarious. I really enjoyed this light hearted read and loved all of the cameos from all of the gang.
Bossy Bride is an outrageously hilarious romantic comedy novella in author JA Huss’ Bossy Brothers series. I fell for the main characters, Jesse and Emma in the first book of the series. Their crazy escapades are taken up a notch in this latest installment.
I love the chemistry between Jesse and Emma. Jesse’s head-over-heels in love and more than willing to make bossy Emma the happiest bride ever. Naturally, that means letting Emma go a little crazy in order to be in charge of her wedding. Emma Dumas’ family plays a huge roll in Bossy Bride, and I can’t wait to get more of them in future books. I’m also hoping for more of Miles, the Berry Bright Cosmetics flight butler.
Bossy Bride is set around the Christmas holiday, but it is not a holiday story per se. Sprinkled into this fast paced, outlandish story are some heartwarming messages about family and home. The madcap Vegas adventure is the craziest, most fun day you could ever, and imagine. Bossy Bride is a lightweight, fun reading escape!
Bossy Bride
Jesse and Emma are back and they are as adorable as ever!! My heart melts reading about their cuteness.
This novel is fast paced and crazy and insanely romantic, leaving us to wonder…..will there be an “I do”? Perfect for a Christmas read! We are treated to a catch up with all the existing characters that we know and love, as well as meeting new ones and getting glimpses into what might be in store for the Boston and Dumas clans.
This story was everything I adore in a J A Huss novel, all wrapped up in a perfect bow! Wonderful.
This was a great, lighter read by JA Huss. It is definitely a romantic comedy that is WAY over the top. I was laughing, rolling my eyes, and groaning with exasperation along with Jesse and Emma. But the ending. The end brings heart like JA Huss knows how to do. A sweet end to a fun read. I cannot wait to read the next book!
A Vegas wedding has never been more hilariously disastrous…
Emma is a woman of strong emotions and when she is upset Jesse will do everything in his power to make her happy. If a Las Vegas wedding will put a smile on her face Jesse will go all out. Though it seems Fingers Fantasy Weddings can “one up” even them. The outlandish wedding scenarios provide so many chuckles and eye rolls, but underneath the comedy Jesse and Emma and their motley crew learn to let go of the past and embrace what they have now. And we get to go along on their thrill ride of a wedding, you gotta love it!
This book is just fabulous so funny such an original storyline and the characters are all so great
The whole family is bossy and who can boss them around best the Mom but Emma certainly gives it a go getting away from Kracken Karen her childhood bully who is her wedding planner
They elope to Vagas and try getting married so many times it’s hilarious
I loved this book x
Just when I think the world of the Boston brothers can’t get any more crazy, J.A. Huss goes and writes Bossy Bride! I swear I really want inside this author’s mind since this adventure goes from zero to sixty in a hot minute and yet she still managed to bring a tear to my eyes with the last two chapters and an epilogue that was so damn touching.
And here I thought this would just be a little adventure getting to the nuptials between Emma Dumas and Jesse Boston. Oh how foolish I was. Huss took me on THE most fantastic of rides involving Emma’s adorable sky-butler and his questionable past, a man named Fingers and his over-the-top entourage and FOUR weddings in Sin City that almost convinced me that the entire story was a dream. Or a nightmare depending on how you look at it.
But it’s the real deal and although I didn’t truly see how it could all turn out ok, it did! And it was beautiful and silly and sweet and hysterical but most importantly, it showcased just how devoted Jesse was to his woman and it’s the love that ultimately shines through over and over again.
All the Boston brothers are present and accounted for with their own loved ones by their sides. And with the entire Dumas family also in the fray, all I can say is that what transpires in Bossy Bride may just be the beginning of one heck of a new extended family that I can’t wait to read about in future books.
I’ll hold on tight once more and revel in the lunacy mixed with the tender that I have come to adore in this series. For something a bit different that will have you laughing and gasping all the way to the end, grab Bossy Bride: Emma & Jesse and see why Huss remains a go-to author for me. She is always bringing the very best even when it’s a bit off the wall.
5 solid stars!
Bossy Bride was amazing!! Way to keep me on my toes Julie. Emma and Jesse have yet to disappoint me with their life adventures. This book had me laughing, yelling and loving the family bonds. I can’t wait for the Bossy: Alonzo book.
Omg this book was absolutely phenomenal. The Bossy Bride was hilarious, sweet and will have you glued too your kindle. There was a twist that I didn’t see coming and I love when that happens. Jesse & Emma are absolutely perfect for each other and their wedding is something that no one will ever forget.
Are you ready for this hilarious wedding extravaganza? Well, then this is definitely the book for you. Jesse Boston and Emma Dumas are back for the wedding of the year…and all the craziness that ensues leading up to their nuptials. Will they be able to control Mrs. Dumas, her wedding plan hijacking and everything else? We fell in love with them in Bossy Brothers:Jesse, now fall for them all over again! A very light hearted, funny, sweet and loving holiday/wedding novella. I enjoyed all the other cameos in the story and of course Jesse!! Told in dual POV
