Jesse Boston is the man of my dreams. He’s super sexy, super rich, and super funny. He gets all my jokes, he treats me like a princess, and our love life is smokin’ hot. So I’m gonna marry him. I’m not real picky about how that happens and if my mother wants to have her say, fine. That’s fine. She gave birth to three boys and just one girl. So I get it. She NEEDS a wedding. But when she invites my … wedding.
But when she invites my childhood nemesis, KAREN, to plan our wedding AND be one of my bride’s maids? Uh—no. It’s not happening.
Karen Krakken Channing will not plan my wedding, will not be at my wedding, and she’s certainly not going to be IN my wedding.
Luckily my jet butler, Miles, and my almost-husband get this great idea!
We’re going to elope to Vegas on Christmas Eve eve, get hitched in the most ridiculous way possible, and then fly home in time for Christmas Eve dinner.
We’ve got it all figured out.
Nothing can go wrong.
We will have one simple wedding in like… a drive-through chapel, and call it good.
Take that, KAREN!
Bossy Bride features Jesse and Emma getting almost-hitched on a roller coaster, tricked into being the stars of a pirate show, jumping out of an airplane, and saying their vows in front of two huge Italian families who don’t speak English. It’s a rompy, whirlwind trip down a rabbit hole of “Fantasy” Vegas weddings planned by a man called “Fingers” and just when you think nothing else could go wrong—a mermaid descends from the ceiling.

Oh how wonderful it was to see all of the Bossy Brothers and The Dumas Family once again for one CRAZY AND WILD ride to say the least.
I knew I was going to love this story AND be surprised at the same time since that what it’s like to read J.A Huss and her crazy worlds!!!
Jesse and Emma go on one crazy ride in Bossy Bride and I laughed throughout the entire story and was on the edge of my seat as well.
Throughout this entire series we see all of these characters several times and we watch them grow and become the people they yearn to be with that ever growing learning curve.
I can’t wait to see what is in store for the Dumas brothers!!!
Entertaining and fast paced with a twist.
This story starts with the Bright Berry Beach holiday party. And there’s lots to give you warm and fuzzy feelings. And then as the story progresses, there is plenty to make you smile and giggle. And then you hit the twist – oh my, you start wondering where the story is going!
This was entertaining, funny, unexpected. And the Vegas weddings were something else! I’ve been left with a feel good glow after finishing this book.
Jesse and Emma’s wedding romp in Vegas is a fun-filled, chaotic adventure. The characters are funny, the scenarios ridiculous (in a good way) and the surprises are what you get with a Huss book, unexpected. A fast, fun, read and a nice capper to the Bossy Brother’s stories.
Talk about a wedding from hell. LOL!!!! JA Huss has written a couple wedding stories that didn’t go as planned. Maybe she shouldn’t be in charged of planning weddings. ; ) HAHA!! Just teasing.
This was a fun quick chaotic Huss style wedding. And definitely fit Jesse and Emma’s life. And it is funny what these strong men will do for love. And to please the women they love.
This book will have you laughing so hard. Trust me it took me several tries to get through a certain scene in the book. But it will also have you getting emotional.
This book was an incredibly romantic non-stop roller coaster ride (pun definitely intended) of laughs and absolutely endearing absurdity. In my world, that makes it absolute perfection. Emma and Jesse are kindred souls in love and life and as they *attempt* to wrestle control of their wedding away from Emma’s bossy mother, downright outrageousness ensues. You don’t need to have read the other Bossy Brothers books to enjoy this book, but if you have read the other books in the series, you will be delighted with the appearance of the characters from those books in this story. I defy anyone to read this book and come away from it without a big smile on their face. This book warmed my heart and tickled my funny bone. It made me happy, plain and simple.
* I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All of my opinions are entirely my own.
Let the hilarity begin! I really wouldn’t expect anything less from Emma & Jesse! I absolutely loved this book. The insanity that always ensues with the Bossy/Dumas family and their friends always makes for one hell of a ride. Emma’s nemesis planning the wedding was hilarious, and everything I needed when I was reading this book! I was laughing so hard at certain parts of this book. I read it straight through, I couldn’t put it down! I would absolutely recommend this book!
Emma and Jesse’s wedding was absolutely fantastic that left me laughing out loud at so many places. I found this book so easy to relate to with all the drama of other people and I couldn’t have asked for the author to pull out any more feels for me after this read.
Bossy Bride was a nice little departure from the seriousness that has been going on in the Bossy series. It was a hoot to read and tag along with Jesse and Emma as they try and outsmart her bossy mother and slip away to Vegas for an impromptu wedding.
Emma is the only girl in the family, having 3 brothers so she knows her mom wants to be involved with planning her wedding. But when her mother springs a childhood nemesis on Emma, she takes matters into her own hands and whisks Jesse off on the Bright Berry Beach corporate jet to Vegas. What ensues from there was just a hilarious and action packed ride through the streets and casinos of Las Vegas. What was super fun for me is that I live in Las Vegas so I was visualizing each of the outrageous scenarios they get themselves into and man did I laugh at some of the crazy antics these two get up to.
Even though most of this book is about the wild and crazy situations that Jesse and Emma manage to get themselves into, it also has some pretty emotional parts scattered throughout. Jesse has never been known as the “deep thinker” of the three brothers, but he does do a bit of soul searching in this story, and when he opened up with Emma and told her about his childhood and what it was like, especially during the Christmas holiday, that really pulled on the heartstrings.
Of course we got to see the whole Bossy crew as well as the Dumas crew and Emma’s girl tribe and may I just say, I need a Miles in my life!! That dude…yeah, I want one just like him!
Strap in tight for a whirlwind trip to Vegas and find out if Emma and Jesse were able to outsmart her bossy mother! And a little hint for the next book, Bossy Brothers: Alonzo. Man, I hope at some point Miles gets his own book!
Emma is a firecracker. Jesse is one amazing man. They make for one super interesting fun couple. Loved the whole story. Could not believe all the twists in this story. You are hooked from the start. Could not wait to see what they would do next. Loved the ending. Absolutely amazing.
Have you planned your dream wedding? Everything just perfect, right? How about a Vegas buffet style wedding? Sounds dreamy, right? Take the ride with Jesse and Emma as they venture to Vegas to get married! This made me laugh out loud and smile the whole time! Loved it. Great read.
I was absolutely charmed by Jesse and Emma in their HEA, JA Huss style! These two finally head for Florida and the holidays but take a quick detour to the west, thanks to Miles, my new favorite sky butler! I can only imagine how much fun Julie had writing this story; it was laugh out loud funny, Karen (yes, that Karen!). This story also offered timely reminders that family and friends really do mean well, and being together is truly a gift. <3
If you are looking for a hilarious romp to brighten your holiday season look no further! Jesse and Emma’s adventure was so much fun! This book had me laughing out loud and getting all the feels! I loved revisiting the Bossy world and tagging along for fun wedding shenanigans!! I highly recommend this story and all the Bossy Boston bothers!
Bossy Bride is just 100% unadulterated fun! Wacky, off the charts , comical fun. Emma and Jesse are such a fun couple and I’m so happy their wedding(s) were a reflection of their personalities. I’m a sucker for a good wedding book, but then throw that down on top of Christmas and you’ve got yourself a winner.
Sooooo good. Loved reading more about Jesse and Emma and all the gang. This book was wonderful in every way. Bring on more in this series.
This is Emma & Jesse’s crazy adventure into their marriage, and is filled with wit, humor, suspense, and steamy romance, and it just became my top favorite holiday read.
Bossy Bride is very well paced, intense, engaging, entertaining and I wouldn’t change a thing of this fabulous read. The story is masterfully written, with a fantastic plot, a great world building, and with amazing characters that I already love, and the introduction to the intriguing Dumas family.
I love everything about this book, it has it all. The author’s storytelling, and world-building are just fascinating, and can’t wait for Alonzo’s story next (Bossy Brothers, #5).
What a flipping rollercoaster ride that was. It was not even close to what I was expecting but it was EVERYTHING I never thought I needed from a JA Huss book. I loved Jesse and Emma…from the beginning they were the first on this Bossy Brothers ride and they were the ones closest to my heart. I wanted them to have everything they ever wanted. Little did I know that these two would take us on an exhilarating, heart stopping, death inducing ride cross country and then some. I think…I do believe I’d like to be a Dumas because yeah…we know the Boston brothers are all that…but the true stars are the Dumas family — but in the end…love always prevails even when you think you don’t deserve it, couldn’t possibly handle it, when it seems to be slipping from your grasp…it WILL prevail. What a fucking ride that was!
OMG….. this book was AH-MAZE-ING!!! If you thought this was going to be your normal wedding book, think again…..after all this is Emma and Jesse’s wedding-Dumas family and Boston family-so nothing normal about it at all. What happens when you runaway to Vegas for an impromptu wedding? Let’s just say between rollercoasters, pirates, skydiving planes, Italian families, a shootout….. what the hell else could go wrong? This read was filled with smiles, laughs, witty banter and some very bossy women that will have you captivated by the story and inhaling page after page of this story that you won’t want it to end! If you’ve read the previous books you don’t want to miss out on this read so grab it now!
The perfect little pick me up for the Holiday season. The Hoilday’s stressing you out? Need a break? Sit down and read Bossy Bride. It will surely brighten your spirit and make you laugh out loud.
With all seriousness in the Bossy books, it is a real pleasure to read something so light hearted and funny. With a runaway elopement gone wrong…or right? The many adventures that take place in Vegas on Christmas Eve. You will be laughing all the way. hahaha.
Jesse aka Baby Boston and Emma Dumas have the best wedding(s) ever.
Thank you, Julie for this Holiday gift. It was much appreciated.
I loved the opening scene and am always amused by the Bright Berry Beach Cosmetics women. I love them and want to be friends with them! The chaos in Vegas was almost too much for me, but I loved all the different characters (I am always amazed at Julie’s creativity) and felt like I was in the thick of everything Emma and Jesse were going through.
An amusing holiday read!
A wild wedding in Las Vegas!!! This story fit Emma and Jesse like a glove!! You can feel the happiness, frustration, confusion and every other feeling a crazy night in Vegas creates! Loved this!!
