Jesse Boston is the man of my dreams. He’s super sexy, super rich, and super funny. He gets all my jokes, he treats me like a princess, and our love life is smokin’ hot. So I’m gonna marry him. I’m not real picky about how that happens and if my mother wants to have her say, fine. That’s fine. She gave birth to three boys and just one girl. So I get it. She NEEDS a wedding. But when she invites my … wedding.
But when she invites my childhood nemesis, KAREN, to plan our wedding AND be one of my bride’s maids? Uh—no. It’s not happening.
Karen Krakken Channing will not plan my wedding, will not be at my wedding, and she’s certainly not going to be IN my wedding.
Luckily my jet butler, Miles, and my almost-husband get this great idea!
We’re going to elope to Vegas on Christmas Eve eve, get hitched in the most ridiculous way possible, and then fly home in time for Christmas Eve dinner.
We’ve got it all figured out.
Nothing can go wrong.
We will have one simple wedding in like… a drive-through chapel, and call it good.
Take that, KAREN!
Bossy Bride features Jesse and Emma getting almost-hitched on a roller coaster, tricked into being the stars of a pirate show, jumping out of an airplane, and saying their vows in front of two huge Italian families who don’t speak English. It’s a rompy, whirlwind trip down a rabbit hole of “Fantasy” Vegas weddings planned by a man called “Fingers” and just when you think nothing else could go wrong—a mermaid descends from the ceiling.

Well, this was a fun romantic romp with some steamy sex scenes that I started Saturday before bed and finished Sunday morning while still luxuriating in bed! I wouldn’t have minded having Jesse next to me… but then I wouldn’t have finished reading. 😉
This is the first book I’ve read by J.A. Huss, and the fourth book in the Bossy Brothers series, but you can read this one out of order since Huss gives you enough background. But the background she does give made me want to start with book one in the series, Bossy Brothers: Jesse!
I really enjoyed that the sex was hot and heavy right at the beginning, but then Huss actually wrote a good story. Some romance books are all sex, and I like to be able to sink my teeth into a storyline too. It was also nice to lose myself in a world of uber-rich and beautiful people. Nothing heavy, just fun and light.
Once Jesse and Emma ditch out on their Christmas responsibilities with family and head to Vegas to elope, because “Karen Krakken Channing will not plan my wedding, will not be at my wedding, and she’s certainly not going to be IN my wedding,” that’s when the outrageous millionaire lifestyle gets even more crazy and filled with lots of amusing moments.
The reader gets to enjoy various weddings that are more insane than the last leading up to the super sweet last wedding. And while all of these shenanigans are going on, we are still learning more about Jesse, Emma, and the rest of their family members. Huss does an amazing job balancing character creation and funny scenes.
Definitely give the Bossy Brothers series a try, and Huss also has a bunch of others series too for you to check out!
After all the stress and drama in the previous 3 Bossy Brothers books it’s a welcome relief to have all the fun and games with Jesse and Emma in Bossy Bride. The Bossy brothers are definitely taming their ways, and Jesse is so funny and entertaining in this hilarious fantasy wedding showdown. Trying to sneak off and get married in Vegas doesn’t quite go as planned for these two lovebirds. Of course we have Teddy Hamilton narrating Jesse again, and he is perfect with all the emotion, all the dry humour and all the fun sexy bits. Utter perfection. Now to Ava Erickson, again, nailed it. Totally, fun, totally enjoyable, and totally addictive. They were made for Jesse and Emma.
I loved this book! I listened to this book on Audible and I loved it! Emma and Jesse are so in love They plan on going to Las Vegas for a quick wedding and then make it back for Christmas Eve dinner. So Miles hooks them up with a friend named Fingers and he arranges the roller coaster wedding and then the Pirate wedding that wasn’t a wedding! Omgoodness! This is such a funny, steamy romance with so much action and everything that could go wrong went wrong!
The narrators were amazing Ava Erickson and Teddy Hamilton
What a hoot! This book had everything! Pirates, roller skates, private jets, sky diving, weddings and more. Talk about exhausted! One whole day in Jessie and Emma’s life. I laughed so many times but there were curveballs thrown in to have you on the edge of your seat. I may have even said “No way! GTFO!” A couple times. This audio book is not to be missed. Be prepared because it’s literally all action!
Finally finished this one! OMG LOVED it. This was hilarious. So technically you don’t have to have read Emma and Jesse’s Story (Bossy Brothers Jesse) to follow this but you might appreciate it more if you have read their story. This is a CRAZY story about a couple trying to escape a too-bossy mother and an unwanted childhood friend taking over their wedding planning, so they escape to Vegas on a jet to get married on their terms. And there is no possible way you could guess anything that happens in this book. The only formula JA Huss follows is her own.
I love Emma and Jesse. They are the funniest couple and they do the craziest things together. On this journey, Emma thinks her mother is going to take over the planning of her wedding and it appears to be that way when her mother “hires” a childhood nemesis to be Emma’s wedding planner. Emma decides that she wants her wedding to be the way she wants it and not the big production that her mother was going to plan for her. Jesse loves Emma and he family but he will always do what his beloved wants because he loves her so much. So they decided to fly to Las Vegas to get marry. Well with these 2, there is always some crazy adventure that they have to embark on so instead of a drive through wedding, they decided to have adventure weddings. The adventures these 2 went on to try and get married is full of craziness and hilarity. In the end, they are not sure if they want to get married without their family and friends but of course they have another surprise to await them!
I laughed so hard from when the two of them tried to escape from Emma’s family to go to Las Vegas to when they decided to have adventure weddings. This was some of the craziest things that I didn’t even know existed….maybe they don’t but I could see it happening in Vegas. If you need something to take your mind off your troubles, this book will certainly do it and make you laugh so hard while doing it!
Say I do to this book! 4 stars
You have to read Bossy Brothers: Jesse as this is the wedding of Jesse and Emma. Jesse and Emma go on an adventure filled with shenanigans when Emma’s bossy mom tries to take over planning her wedding, and Emma decided to foil her mom by secretly eloping to Vegas on Christmas Eve Day! This book was hilarious, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Jesse was actually swoon-worthy in this book, and he loves Emma and her family so much. Emma was just as bossy as ever in this book, and she was delightfully unhinged in the best way in this book! Their wedding experience in Vegas was so over-the-top hilarious and entertaining but emotional at certain points, and I loved it all like this book!
Cute Christmas wedding story about Bossy Brother Jesse and his bossy bride Emma. The whole family is involved in hijinks and craziness in this happily ever after tale meant to wrap up the Bossy Brothers and introduce the Dumas Brothers. I’m excited to meet Alonzo and see what’s going on with Emma’s family!!
This book was full of laughs and a rollercoaster (literally) of events. I absolutely loved getting back to Jesse and Emma and their antics, this couple was born to be together.
I loved how this story played out and the huge surprise at the end of it all. I loved how sweet the ending was from both Jesse and Emma, I really enjoyed how both families were so involved too.
There were some missing pieces that I would’ve loved to get some answers to but still, this was such a good and fun read that they were only minor issues.
Emma Dumas & Jesse Boston! These two are fricking crazy! But only the good type. Their attempt to get married in Vegas far away from Emma’s bossy mother gets them into messy but funny situations. And in this book Jesse is so open about his feelings that it’s so romantic and beautiful that I wanted to cry. Okay, I admit, I cried when he had that heart to heart exchange with his brothers just before getting married. My heart ached for all of them, I just wanted to hug them all at once and never let go 🙁 But mostly this book was filled with giggles, romantic gestures and funny moments so don’t think that will be too sappy. Needless to say, I loved it!! 5 bossy stars <3
That was so much fun! And so well written it felt like I was along for the ride. Bossy Bride is a must read for anyone that’s read the Bossy series.
We already knew Emma Dumas was a kick-a$$ heroine for being able to face and be comfortable around the Boston boys, but in this story, we get to see why she turned out the way she did! On the surface, the Dumas family is the type Jesse would have enjoyed growing up in, so instead he gets to marry into it instead! Vanilla-type in-laws would never do for Emma so she gets anti-vanilla with the Bostons! Mix the two together and your head will spin with more twists and turns than a roller coaster ride in Vegas! Enjoy the laugh out loud escapades as Jesse and Emma try to sneak off and elope in Vegas!
Bossy Bride was ridiculously crazy! I can most definitely say I was not expecting any of the things that happened in this book. Emma and Jesse decide to get away to Vegas for a quick wedding to escape her mother’s wedding planning. In Vegas Jesse and Emma experience a lot of craziness all in the name of love. I laughed a lot while reading this quick paced and witty romantic comedy. It was just what I needed at a crazy time in my own life. If you’re in the mood for a fun and outrageously silly romance, read Bossy Bride.
A Buffet of Weddings!!
A knee-jerk reaction to losing control of their wedding plans, has our young couple winging off to Las Vegas to have their wedding “their way”. A comedic romp of action/adventure venues intertwined with the real reasons and relationships involved in marrying.
Entertaining with roller coaster, pirates, skydiving and a butler who is more than he seems. Gotta love this family!
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Bossy Bride by J.A. Huss is book four in her Bossy Brothers Series. I recommend to read the books in order. Meet all the characters from previous books in the series on their annual christmas party. They all settled down, are married or in a relationship. Just like Emma and Jesse.
The book is a fast paced nsfw read with hot scenes and a complex story. I liked the storyline and I loved meeting the tribe. 4,5 Stars.
What a freaking riot this book was. I loved Emma and Jesse, will these two make it to their wedding? So many obstacles and people putting in their two cents. All these two want is to get married and is doesn’t matter how that happens. Emma will not let her mother ruin their nuptials and when these two come up with a crazy idea, it’s on like donkey kong. I absolutely loved these two, their story is funny, sweet and you will read this in one sitting. I received a copy of this book.
All Emma wanted was to plan her own wedding, is that too much to ask for? But everyone in the Dumas family is bossy, especially her Mom, where do you think Emma learned it from. So, Emma decides to take over and do it her way. From there it just goes wild. Jessie is just along for the ride, supporting his bride to be however he can. Loved this story, so much fun!
OMG! What the heck did I just read? And I ask that in the best way possible.
Looking for a completely OVER THE TOP wedding Shenanigans and characters in Vegas? You’ve hit the spot. The Dumas’ and Bostons are totally Bossy, totally in love and all about family and making each other happy. But to what lengths will they go? Dive in and see what Jesse and Emma have in store. I’m sure it will be like NOTHING you’ve experienced.
*You only need to read book 1 in the Bossy Brother’s series to follow along with this book. But it’s definitely enjoyable, with no angst but so much crazy drama that is more humorous than intense. Something to keep you laughing and entertained.
Seriously faced paced unpredictable outrageously funny adventure.
Loved it
Super funny.
Omg I laughed so hard when reading some scenes, these two really got the weeding of their lives, but there was something in the writing that wasn’t working for me for some reason.
But it’s was a good story
