From New York Times Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalone novel.
The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own … advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn business―his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business―and went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us―telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people? Then again…
What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?

What I loved about this book was the witty banter and the fun watching these two dance around their mutual attraction. The story does get serious, and painful at times, but ends with one of the best happy ever afters I have seen.
I fell in love with this book slowly, much like I think the characters fell for each other. There’s an amazing meet-cute with so much sass it’ll have you grinning ear to ear, followed by some coincidences that are too good to be real but totally understandable in romancelandia. Each of the main characters had a past event that haunted them and I loved seeing them grow and share those things with each other and overcome them together. It was heartbreaking at times and heartwarming at others. It was witty and funny, sweet and sexy. In short, it’s everything you could want in a romance and more.

OMGoodness!!!! Vi Keeland knows how to give her a readers a fabulous 5 star read. I think BOSSMAN is my favorite of her books to date. And that is really saying something since I have loved all her other books as well.
Bossman was not what I was expecting….but in a good way. This is a forbidden office romance novel. But it was also a story about loss, forgiveness and moving forward.
“ Don’t focus on the What If’s. Focus on What Is.”
That is one of my favorite lines in this book. That is something we all can learn to do. Don’t live in the past and wonder what could be, but focus on the here and now and what is happening.
This book had all my emotions flowing. I was laughing, swooning, blushing, yelling and even crying, but in the end I had a HUGE smile on my face. This story was exactly what I was looking for. Vi gave us an interesting storyline and wonderful characters!!! I loved them all. There wasn’t even that one character you love to hate. I loved that this story was overflowing with excess drama. The storyline between Chase and Reese was enough to make you want to keep turning the page. Any drama that was in the story was brought on by them and there weren’t really any outside factors.
BOSSMAN is a standalone novel that is told primarily from Reese’s POV but we do get some chapters told from Chase’s POV. I will say that his chapters kind of confused me in the beginning, but as the story went on I understood why Vi wrote the story this way. It all makes sense in the end. Reese was a wonderful heroine. I really enjoyed her character. She was slightly broken from a trauma in her childhood, but she didn’t let it slow her down. She just adapted to her fears and learned to live with it. It’s weird but what happened to her in her past is what helped with the connection to Chase. (You’ll understand that more as you read this story). Chase was also an amazing character. I LOVED him so much. I don’t think I even have the words to do him justice. You just need to read this book and meet Chase for yourself 🙂
I thought Chase and Reese were a perfect couple. They had an amazing connection, their banter made me laugh, and their chemistry was off the charts 😉
“ I was the balance to his unsteadiness. He was the courage to my fear.”…Reese
So if you love a great forbidden office romance novel, this is a MUST READ!! Also if you are a fan of Vi Keeland’s, then you don’t want to miss this latest gem of hers. And if she is a new author to you, this is the perfect book to introduce yourself to her wonderful writing.
One of the Best of 2016!!!
I just love Vi’s books! Strong characters, witty banter.. I had this huge grin on my while reading certain parts. It really was a good read! You won’t be disappointed!
Another solid binge-worthy story from Vi Keeland (my second one in less than two days) as she takes a rather unique meet-cute and develops wonderfully rich and complex characters around an original and emotional storyline. So many feels from this one. I’m looking forward to reading more!
This was a really great read. I have loved everything I’ve read so far by Vi Keeland and BossMan did not disappoint!
Reese is on a date that she desperately wants to get out of. Little did she know that the guy in the hall who calls her out on wanting to get out of the date- who also makes her date night much more enjoyable- ends up being her new boss. But learning from a past experience, Reese is determined to keep their relationship professional, no matter how much Chase Parker makes it known how attracted he is to her and wants her.
Chase Parker is a brilliant man. He built his own business from the ground up in college and it only evolved from there. Now being the CEO of his company, Parker has no problem getting a woman to go to bed with him. After the loss of his ex-fiance, Parker hasn’t wanted or even felt “more” with any woman since her.
Until he met Reese.
Reese makes him laugh when he doesn’t feel like it, and gives him sense of peace. Coming back from a bad place after losing his fiance, he wants to grab hold of Reese and not let her go.
Just as their relationship goes public, suddenly Parker breaks it off without so much as any explanation.
Reese’s heart is broken and even though Parker looks for hurt than she is, he still won’t give her an excuse. When she finally learns of the reason Chase broke up with her, she is determined to get it out of him herself and make him see nothing was his fault, and just how much they do deserve each other.
Chase made it to my top book boyfriend material list when I was first introduced to him when he met Reese in that restaurant hallway.
Tall, handsome, toned and muscular, with a cocky smirk and smooth talking you just can’t help but love him. Reese is like a girl you would be besties with for life. Driven, independent, funny, and loving
An absolutely fabulous, well written story. The characters were amazing and I fell in love with both of them right away. Both had events from their pasts that were painful, but seeing how they grew and moved past the pain was both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
Love this book; love this author!!
Well written book with lots of romance, angst, and clearly defined characters. Overall, an entertaining page turner.
I loved this book, was so entertaining
I loved the characters, the banter, but best of all the story
Loved this book!!! Thought the characters were great! Went on to read a couple more by this author & enjoyed them as well!
This was such a cute book. It had me from the first page! The book was fantastic from the first to last page!
Where to start? Well, I LOVED it. This book gives the reader excellent characters – both Chase and Reese and the cast of characters surrounding them. The story is not only filled with smart humor that made me laugh out loud but it also has a slow, steady story arc that reveals what’s made both main characters who they are. Discovering what came before the story to make the characters who they’ve become makes me love them even more. They’re likeable, flawed and you just want them to figure it all out so they can end up together. The heat in the story was perfect. The editing was perfect. Highly, highly recommend.
I loved Chase , his pickup lines were the best. Chase was so hung up on his letting his past go . Reese was the ray of light that Chase needed to see it is okay to be happy . Reese was a strong lady and her confidence showed threw in how good she was at her job.
I am so happy to have finally read this book which has been floating around, lost in my kindle waiting for me to discover it for a while. The cover grabbed my eye and the rest is history! Vi Keeland’s books are so hard to put down, even for a minute and this one was exactly that. Memorable!
What you get in Bossman is Chase Parker, a gorgeous, extremely intelligent, sexy CEO of his own successful startup, with a haunting tragedy that has changed his life. Yet, he still somehow manages to have an irreverent sense of humor, enjoys some colorful dirty talk with the right companion and he might have just found her! He’s a complex, intense man and I LOVED him!
Reese Annesley, has been having bad luck with men, work, life lately and it seems that her world is about to change. While out on a date gone wrong, she comes across a beautiful stranger in a restaurant’s bathroom hallway where the sparks begin to fly and the witty lines they toss around had me cracking up… a well matched pair for sure.
What happens next and throughout this romantic, slow building but so sexy story is something special as this connection continues to evolve and grow. Neither Chase or Reese is what you expect, they are way more and they keep each other on their toes as they reveal more parts of themselves to each other.
I couldn’t help but fall in love with these two people, each with a tragic events that effected and changed how they lived their lives. Soulmates? Wait and see..I laughed hard, giggled to myself often, felt the need for tissues one moment, while needing a fan during the hot, steamy, swoony ones of which to my delight, there were many. If you think..hot CEO, been there, done that, you would be very wrong in my opinion. There is a great story here that is not to be missed. Read it, find out for yourself.
Buttercup and Bossman
We meet Chase Parker when he rescues Reese Annelesly on an awful date. I found him charming and witty as he dishes out elaborate stories about their fake childhood. He’s quick-witted, smart and funny and Reese is instantly drawn to this enigmatic man. When Reese is hired by his company she knows her attraction to Chase is dangerous. She’s had an office romance that didn’t end so well for her. I love the banter between these two as they try to navigate a no-strings affair and trying to be discreet around the office.
But what started as a light flirtation and steamy romance twists into a bit of a heartache and a bit of suspense. Bossman starts out very light, cute and funny, but Chase Parker, as the story progresses becomes quite an emotionally-complicated hero in this story. His past with a tragedy comes barreling into his current reality and his relationship with Reese. It was such a good ending, and a story I won’t soon forget.
I absolutely love this book! It is one of my all time favorites! 🙂
Hot boss alert
I said alert, panty melting smile alert.
Gorgeous brooding man alert.
Watch out for the attitude because his looks make women stupid. Thoughts leave your head, conversations drift off, and stories morph into something completely new.
Chase Parker is responsible for all stupidity brought on by reading this book. There is a lingering effect. Don’t operate heavy machinery or make life altering decisions while in a Chase Fog. You have been warned!
Chase Parker has got to be one of the sexiest, most endearing book boyfriends I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. From his cocky arrogance, to his patience & understanding, he is everything you could want in a hero. When Reese finally gives in to his charms, all you can think is “What took you so long?” They make an adorable couple with an hea. I highly recommend this book.
