A Smart-Mouth Curvy Assistant. An Impossible Boss. A Scorching Love Story.
TaraMy boss is the world’s biggest prick. He’s been harassing me day and night from the other side of the world.Endless demanding emails.Ceaseless ridiculous requests.I pity the woman who falls in love with the bastard. If he’s this bad in text, he gotta be wretched in person.I’ll find out soon enough, when we meet for the … wretched in person.
I’ll find out soon enough, when we meet for the first time on a trip to the Caribbean.
Operation ‘Payback’ starts the moment I touch down. I hope he’s ready to get Bossed on the Beach.
Blake
Four months ago, I kissed a gorgeous woman at the Opera and stupidly didn’t get her name or number.
My hapless new assistant has been the victim of my sour mood ever since.
We’ve never met, yet berating her by email is my favorite pastime.
It’s “Game On” when I land on Pole Island and discover that the Curvy Opera Beauty and my new assistant are one and the same.
The problem? She hates my guts.
It’s understandable. I’ve been an insufferable jerk.
When we find ourselves alone on a deserted island, I know it’s time to win her heart even if this means I have to let her “Boss ME On The Beach.”

This was my first time reading Beatrice Brae.
In my opinion – and I know it is supposed to be a short story – it could’ve been a tad longer and allow for the characters to show a little bit more of themselves.
I have to say that I didn’t really connect with them and the story sometimes felt somewhat difficult to read, a bit all over the place.
It’s a quick and steamy read. I feel like the story had a lot of potencial that wasn’t fully explored.
Like always, I’ll definitely give the author the benefit of the doubt and check more of her work sometime in the future.
I’ve mentioned this in another review but I’ll leave it here as well: one of the many things I’ve learned over the years is that each book has its time in your life and, sometimes you might judge it too harshly and/or not pay it the attention it deserves because of whatever maybe be going on in your life and in your mind. The same applies to those “spur of the moment” reads that can lead to discover some new amazing author and genre, or can lead you to think that maybe you should have saved it for some other time.
I’m aware that first impressions matter, but we should try and give seconds chance as often as we can, especially when it comes to books/authors.
I’m sorry I’m rambling but this is actually a though that’s been on my mind for a while and this seems like one really good opportunity to put it out there.
I always feel terrible for giving lower ratings and I can only imagined what it feels like to be on the other side reading these reviews, so I try my best to give so sort of explanation for my thoughts and opinions and/or positive and constructive criticism.
I hope this can maybe help some of you that might have the same issue.
There was just not enough backstory. Tara hates her boss, they get stranded together she did not make him work for it. I felt things were rushed and I felt no connection to Blake and Tara. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
I kind of loved this story. It is short but entertaining and enjoyable. The emails between Tara and her boss Blake as well as the emails between Tara and her friend Liz had me laughing. The characters were interesting and relatable. I really liked the reveal of the twist. Tara and Blake were much calmer than I think I would have been in their situation. Actually, any of the situations they found themselves in in the book would have had me upset/freaking out. I loved how they found their way to each other. Their happy ever after had me smiling. I recommend reading this book!
Mystery man turns out to be her boss
I really liked this story. I liked the banter between Tara and Blake before and after meeting. Bonus epilogue available if you sign up for Beatrice’s newsletter. Worth it!
Now this book is one I LOVED! I had a hard time getting into Beatrice Brae’s last book, but I had no such issues with this story! It grabs your attention, pulls you right in, and refuses to let you leave before finishing the book. A grumpy boss, an over worked assistant, a fleeting encounter haunting two people months later, all taking place in a beautiful island paradise. Does it get any better?! I loved seeing Blake transform from a demanding, cranky boss into a possessive lover. And Tara from an efficient, silent admin to a feisty, take no prisoners girlfriend. Simply wonderful! I know I’ll be reading this short, fun, and sexy story again and again!

The Lucky Beach and Mr. Cranky Pants…….stranded on a private island together
Boss Me On The Beach by Beatrice Brae is the second book in the Insta Love Island series where each book is by a different author. This book is about Tara Archer and Blake Rockwell, or “The Lucky Beach” and “Mr. Cranky Pants”.
Tara has been working at Blake’s assistant in NYC while he is living and working in Paris where he also has another assistant Morjorie. She is four months into this job and has yet to meet Blake personally but his emails and instructions and demands are testing her patience to the limit. Even though she can’t stand it any more and thinks about quitting she can’t because he pays really well and she has student loans that need to be paid. Another thing that gets her through is her thoughts about a hottie she met at the opera in NYC five months ago.
Blake is a billionaire businessman who has been on edge for the last five months ever since one night at the opera in NYC when he came to the aid of a young woman who was crying. They kissed and it set his world on fire. But she disappeared and he does not know who she is.
When Blake needs to go to Pole Island in the Caribbean for business he instructs Tara that she is to make all the arrangements and arrive one day earlier than him to ensure everything is ready. He also decides that he wants to buy an island while he is there so he tasks her with setting that up so he can tour several islands while he is there for the week. Things get off to a rocky start when Blake arrives on the island with Tara meeting him. She is holding up a sign with his name and when she lowers it they are both shocked to discover they know each other…………from the one night at the opera where both their lives were changed.
This is a fast and fun story. The email exchanges between Blake and Tara are the funniest thing as I laughed out loud while reading these and both of their inner dialogues and reactions to what they each sent.
The one thing that I had an issue with is that the story needed a Prologue at the beginning to details the initial meeting at the opera, as I felt confused by what they were each thinking when this would be referenced. But otherwise it is a fun story with nice sparks and a lot of Slippery Pole Daiquiris.
This is the 2nd book in the insta love island series. It is a short steamy book. Tara and Blake are great characters and the story line has drama, conflict and some steam.

Just like its title, the book was very much instalove though I have to say that the MCs did quite a groundwork to get to know each other first before actually jumping into each other panties. The story was simple straightforward. I like how the author made the banter between MCs much enjoyable with fun banter to show the love-hate relationship between the two. Easy to digest like I was hoping this summer will be
Funny and steamy with a side of unbearable boss. This was such a fun storyline love the witty banter and coincidence of boss to assistant. Quick read with a good storyline and a wonderful ending to this destined couple who can’t get enough of each other.
I am voluntarily leaving a review for this book that I received free.
Tara works for the most infuriating boss ever and thank goodness he works in another location and she has never actually met him but his constant emails and phone calls keep her on her toes to the point that she is ready to quit.
Blake knows he is being a jerk to his assistant Tara but ever since he shared a kiss with a beautiful woman four months ago he can not be satisified with anything and anyone he has dated since then.
When they meet on a island for a meeting where he wants to buy an island their first face to face meeting reveals that they have met before just four months ago and shared that unforgettable kiss.
Blake wants to apologize and see if they can work on a relationship but Tara just wants to forget about that kiss and move on. When they get stuck on a island they could not ignore their attraction.
