“Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . . How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.Just . . . how?How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color – making me crazy and my life better at the same … and my life better at the same time?
I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.
But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

This is the easiest 5 stars i think I have ever given a book & it’s certainly worth more then that. Meghan has truly hit the jackpot with this story and it’s fabulous characters.
The glimpses of Rath in the other books in this series had me wondering about his story and the man himself but wow was this man swoon worthy. The banter and the relationship between him, Roark and Bram was still hilarious and funny as hell – their bromance is one of the best ever!
And as for Charlee, hands down one of the best female characters ever!!! I loved her – the little anecdotes, the way her mouth just kept talking and spewing stuff that literally had me laughing my head off, all her shenanigans and the way she turned Rath’s head were the best thing ever! I want her to be my friend!
Boss Man Bridegroom literally has me belly laughing, swooning, crying and all manner of things in between. A truly memorable book for all the right reasons and more!
After having his heart broken by his ex, who was also his assistant, Rath Westin hasn’t had any luck finding a replacement. He was looking -again- for another assistant when Linus, his best friend’s assistant, recommended Charlee Cox. He hires her on the spot. She proves to be great at her job, but soon he starts wondering what he got himself into—while he’s intense and brooding, she’s quirky and (wildly) inappropriate. They try not to give in to the attraction they instantly felt for each other but soon lines begin to blur. Especially when Rath comes up with the idea of them getting married to fulfill Charlee’s grandma’s dream of seeing her walk down the aisle…
I enjoyed EVERY minute I spent reading this book! It’s funny and light but also deep and emotional. I LOVED the chemistry between Charlee and Rath. It was so much fun to see how Rath reacted to Charlee’s antics. I can’t wait to see what Meghan Quinn comes up with next!
Boss Man Bridegroom is a fake engagement contemporary workplace romance wirotten in dual first -person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
OMG… This was an easy 5++++ stars for me
This book had me laughing out loud so many times guys. This book was awesome. This was my first RomCom book of 2020 and it was EPIC!!!
Charlee was vibrant, talkative outspoken and feisty. She was this loud person who made everyone’s day just a bit more brighter. And Rath was the complete opposite. But he definitely needed her in his life.
She took him down with her crazy banter and her more crazy personality. Rath didn’t want to get involved with another EA (Executive Assistant) but the more he got to know Charlee the more he was intrigued by her and he just couldn’t or wouldn’t stop his feelings.
I have to tell you if you in a book slump or just need a pick-me-up type of book, GET THIS ONE NOW! You will not regret it. You will be LOL within the first two pages.
I’m not going to confirm nor deny that I snorted Coca Cola through my nose while reading this book, more than once, but what I will say is: ”Meghan Quinn, you are a Comedy Romance Writing Genius!” Just yes! This book had me from page 1 and my only regret is that I didn’t read it sooner.
Boss Man Bridegroom is hands down the funniest book I have read while at the same time being the sweetest and most touching. Rath and Charlee are so freakin’ adorable together. She’s the Organization Queen – pens are her kryptonite, highly organized on the outside and a hot, unfiltered mess on the inside. She’s the total opposite of closed off and quiet Rath, which is what makes them so perfect for one another. I love Rath HARD – can you say puddle of goo and his bromance with Bram had me on the floor!
Do yourself a favor and read this book. Once you do, you’re going to wanna TBR “The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister” and “Diary Of A Bad Boy” (both fantastic books).
If I could, I’d give this book 10 Stars, because it deserves every single one. ( I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
I was laughing, crying from laughing, and thoroughly enjoyed myself with this book. From the very beginning I am questioning my sanity because I just thought their banter and antics are just hilarious but for some reason, it fits. I couldn’t get enough of this.
4.5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. I will warn you be prepared to burst out laughing. I can’t tell you how many times these characters had me laughing especially Charlee. She is someone I want to be friends wand hang out with. I loved her quirky personality so much. That’s why when she’s working for straight laced Rath it’s so perfect. Her first week on the job is some of my favorite parts of the book. There is one part where they’re doing a game of this or that when it came to baseball vs football and Charlee said we like baseball I thought that would be so me! Girl I feel ya right there. Rath, man does he have romantic side he needs to show more often because when that side comes out to play ovaries will explode. I just loved Bram and Rath’s bromance. That is something to behold. This is a must read for sure. The characters are going to suck you in and you want to come up for air. This is a book you want to read, but one you’ll be sad to see end.
I did not expect it based on the book’s title and description, but “Boss Man Bridegroom” by Meghan Quinn turned out to be a fantastic slow burn romance. The attraction between main characters Charlee and Rath slowly built but didn’t reach a tipping point until nearly two-thirds of the way through the book. Both were reluctant to get romantically involved because of past hurts and the fact that they worked together, but eventually their feelings boiled over and couldn’t be contained any longer.
I really appreciated that Rath never used his position as CEO to pressure Charlee for more than she was willing to give. They always seemed to act like equals despite the differences in their job descriptions. In addition, I loved Charlee and Rath’s banter, especially the way they tested each other’s limits and the funny nicknames Charlee gave Rath.
I found Charlee to be a very likeable and relatable main character. She seemed like someone I could be friends with in real life, mostly based on her love of historical romance novels and office supplies. She wasn’t perfect, but she was a perfect match for Rath, and that’s really all that matters. Rath’s bromance with Bram was also a lot of fun, and reminded me very much of the relationship between JD and Turk on “Scrubs.” My favorite part was when the guys started their own romance novel book club so that they could discuss their favorites. (Poor Charlee probably had no idea what a monster she was about to create when she convinced Rath to read that first historical romance!)
Overall, I loved “Boss Man Bridegroom” and will definitely be reading more of Meghan Quinn’s books in the future.

This is the fourth book that I have read by Meghan Quinn and at this point I can safely say that I will read anything this woman writes. She could pen the instruction manual for a box of tampons and I would probably be ecstatic. Her storytelling is unparalleled. She blows me away with every books she writes.
The characters in this book were a downright delight. They were so genuine and easy to fall for. I love how each character had a distinct personality that resonated so well with me. Charlee’s character was by far my favorite. She was so spunky and vibrant. Her character constantly put a smile on my face. Rath’s character was more reserved but his character development was spot on. I really loved all of the side characters in this book. They really added so much depth to the story. I didn’t know this prior to reading this but some of the side characters already have their own stories in other books written by Meghan Quinn. Needless to say, these books are now on my radar and I am jazzed to read about some of the other characters.
The romance in the story was so perfect. I could not have been happier with the build-up, the execution, or the outcome of the romance. The way that Charlee and Rath came together felt very natural and I liked the way that the fake relationship played into the story.
The plot of the story was very satisfying. I like that everything that happens in the story happens for a reason, which is always the case in Meghan Quinn’s books. Everything that occurs in the story has a purpose and is executed beautifully. All of the bits and pieces of the plot of expertly crafted to make this story one that I couldn’t put down.
Overall, this book exceeded all of my expectations. I couldn’t have been more happy with the outcome of the story. If you enjoy stories that have humor, an excellent romance, and that will keep you on your toes then I recommend this wholeheartedly. I am anxiously awaiting the next book from Meghan Quinn!
I had high hopes for Rath and Meghan Quinn met every single one of them!
I absolutely LOVED this book! I love when our hero is fun, quirky, and complex, and that is 100% Rath Westin! He may try to put on a serious, business-like exterior, but underneath he’s just a goofy, fun-loving guy that will steal your heart. He’s funny, unbelievably sweet and caring, and has a sexy, dominant side that will raise your temperature ten degrees. He’s so much more than a successful, business mogul. He’s irresistible!
Charlee is AMAZING! She has to be one of MQ’s most amazing heroines so far! This woman is beyond quirky, and has a zest for life like you’ve never seen before. Where Rath tries to hide his quirky side, Charlee puts hers right out in the open for the world to see. She’s bright, vibrant, fun, energetic, and ridiculously good at her job. She’s simply a breath of fresh air.
These two are absolutely perfect together! They’re classic Meghan Quinn – a torturous slow-burn combined with laugh-out-loud hilarity that will suck you in to this story and keep you turning pages because you can’t wait to find out what they are going to get into next. Add in more Bram and Roark (their books are already available if you haven’t snagged them yet, but they aren’t required for reading this one), and you have an amazing five-star piece of perfection!
Overall Grade: ++
An Open Letter to Meghan Quinn (maybe you’ll read it; maybe you won’t)
Dear Meghan Quinn, funny woman extraordinaire,
You don’t know this, but I really needed your newest book, Boss Man Bridegroom, desperately. You see, I’m a blogger reviewer, and I’ve been reading a lot lately. A whole lot. I teach college students about college writing, and I’ve been on a break between semesters, so I had lots of great ARCs to read. However, I signed up for some emotional heavy hitters. I’m pretty sure I’ve been in an emotional tornado of feelings reading these beautifully-written books that have left me crying my eyes out. So…I needed a respite. And your book did that. Wonderfully.
You don’t know me. I’ve read two other books of yours: The Locker Room and Love, Sincerely, Yours, along with your short story in Team Player 2. I’ve got The Dugout sitting in my Kindle Library awaiting me when I finish my ARC reading because there is something funny and interesting about your storytelling. You engage me with your characters and dialogue in a way that keeps me reading until the very end. When I saw the blurb for Boss Man Bridegroom, you had me at “marriage of convenience.” Then, I entered the book and fell hard, so hard for these characters.
I didn’t have the advantage of reading Diary of a Bad Boy or The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister prior to reading BMBG so I didn’t have the backstory of the hero, Rath’s, friends, Roark and Bram, but I didn’t need their stories to recognize that these heroes, Rath included, are absurdly hilarious. Bram and Rath’s relationship is almost better than Rath and Charlee’s. When the “Three Musketeers” ciome together in this story for their mutual milk-drinking game nights et al., the laughs are guaranteed. I couldn’t get enough of their brand of ridiculousness. As a hero, Rath is equal parts neurotic, absurd, sweet, and grumpy. I love that, as a reader, you never know the Rath you’ll read on the page. It keeps the reader guessing, and, of course, it sets up some key tension when necessary because rom-coms can’t always be funny. They need some climactic moment that potentially destroys the burgeoning love between the hero and heroine. Of course, Rath does a stellar job of inciting this moment with his brand of ignorance.
Thankfully, you’ve written one of the best heroines I’ve read this month. Charlee “Bag of D*cks” Cox is her own brand of special. What an intuitive, insightful, strong woman! She’s my favorite kind of rom-com queen because she knows how to handle the hero into his evolution. From the beginning, I found myself laughing aloud at her manipulation of Rath. Literally, I could have done a spit-take while reading this book if I had been drinking. Charlee is the heart of this book whereas Rath is its mind. Together, Charlee and Rath make reading Boss Man Bridegroom a fun experience. Add in the ancillary characters: Charlee’s grandmother, Bram’s assistant, Linus, Bram, and Roark, along with an Office Supply convention, and you have a story that alleviates any stress of your readers for a time.
So thank you, Meghan Quinn, for saving me from the heavy thinking, emotionally-wrought books that have sought to break my soul. Thank you for the levity that Boss Man Bridegroom brings to a Kindle. Thank you for creating a story that is uproariously funny and a little bit angsty. But, mostly, thank you for writing books that keep readers like me coming back for more. Even though you’re fairly new to me, you can guarantee that your booklist is next on my list to devour whole because your brand of funny is all I need to add a little bit of joy to my day.
5 Kerfuffles Stars!!
I’ve read every single one of Ms. Quinn’s books and I’ve laughed and cried through all of them, but I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever laughed this much while reading her books. There’s just something about Rath and Charlee’s story that lends itself to so many laugh out loud moments starting with how they meet at an office supplies convention!! I mean really…do those really exist because I want to go to one… I LOVE colored pens, post-its and planners!!
If you’ve read the other two books in this series than you’re familiar with Rath, Bram and Roark. If you haven’t read them, that’s okay too, because this book can totally be read as a standalone. Rath is a super-rich NYC executive that has exacting standards for his assistants, and there’s a good reason for this too, when he first meets Charlee at this convention. To say their first meeting was somewhat tense is putting it mildly…
“Just because you seem to have a small-minded brain and rotten heart, doesn’t mean you need to extract the joy out of everyone else’s life.”
I knew right then that we were going to have so much fun…if only Charlee knew she was talking to her future boss LOL!! After a series of events, Charlee is hired to be Rath’s assistant and this is when the real fun begins…There’s color themed days, plants to talk to, breakfasts to eat and a potential firing!
These two are so perfect for each other. Rath is very serious and focused on his company and hasn’t ever experienced someone like Charlee who seems to make everything she does so much happier because she sees the best in every situation…even if it makes her uncomfortable or even better, makes Rath uncomfortable. She’s determined to make his life brighter in every way possible.
What’s also undeniable is the attraction these two have to each other. The problem with this is, is that Rath refuses to get involved with his assistant and Charlee doesn’t want to jeopardize a job she loves. But a situation arises and they’re brought closer together than ever and so commences their plans for a wedding.
Along the way, we’re treated to the bromance between Rath and Bram that’s stronger than ever, advice from Roark that’s somewhat questionable and Charlee’s Grandma that is a freaking hoot!! But what we also get is the background on why Rath has shied away from romance as much as Charlee has. There’s moments that were so touching that I really thought it would be the moment when everything would come out in the open but then there’d be another moment that had me snort laughing.
Ms. Quinn has done a marvelous job of writing a book that is engaging, hilarious, characters that I connected with on every level possible and a story that has a combination of humor, heart, angst, passion and friendship that trumps everything else in life. But it also has a grand love story for two people that are afraid to be hurt but when they open their hearts know that they’re each other’s person and everything is better when they’re together!

Boss Man Bridegroom is a story that will stay with you for days to come! I finished this book in a day and I can’t hardly wait to get my re-read on! I seriously love Meghan Quin books, but this one is a top favorite of hers. The laughs…that is what I told my husband I had because I could not stop laughing. Warning…you may snort laugh more than once. I love the unexpected love between the main characters and it was nice to visit with previous Meghan Quinn characters. This story blew it out of the water and I cannot stop talking about to my friends! I loved all things about Boss Man Bridegroom.
4.5 stars
Oh Meghan Quinn……only you could come up with a scene like that involving David Hasselhoff!! If you haven’t read it yet, just you wait!
In all seriousness, this book from the start, was just a fun, hilarious and entertaining rom-com! Charlee was truly fantastic – her quirkiness and energy were infectious! Rath definitely needed someone like her in his life. Not only professionally, but personally. It did take me a little while to warm up to him, but the scene where they shared their first kiss – that’s where it turned for me. That’s when I really felt the pull and connection between them. I admire his restraint and dedication to try and not cross that line with her, especially after some of the teasing and tempting that she did! But that moment when Rath was standing in the hallway, he just knew that Charlee was something special and that he couldn’t hold back anymore. I’ll admit, that the breakup wasn’t quite what I was expecting (one other moment towards the end hurt my heart more), especially after some of the brutal ones we’ve read from Meghan……but the grand gesture he made at the end was super sweet! Definitely brought a smile to my face!
Oh, and I have to just mention the bromance between Rath and Bram – those two are absolutely ridiculous, but I love them just the same. And Roark too – can’t forget about that lovable Irishman!
Five Fabulous Stars!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! Charlee is definitely one of my favorite heroines that Meghan has ever written! She has personality plus and is so much fun; with her quirkiness, sass, and sense of humor, she is just adorable! Her love of office supplies and organization definitely speaks to me. She is quite a force of nature! Rath didn’t know what hit him or what to make of her from the very moment they met! Now that’s a funny story! Then there is Rath, oh sigh, that man totally makes me swoon! I just love everything about him!! He was certainly not as buttoned up as he appeared to be. He is definitely the perfect balance for Charlee. Their hysterical banter had me lol-ing a lot, while their steamy sexy times were fan worthy. Game night almost had me peeing my pants I was laughing so hard! I simply couldn’t get enough of Rath and Charlee!! And Charlee’s meddling Grandma was a hoot!! And I enjoyed getting more of the others too. This is such a fun, sexy, romantic, sweet and funny story! I truly enjoyed every single moment!!
WOW!!!
This is one of those rare occasions where 5-stars just isn’t enough. In all honesty, neither is 6.
After seeing Bram and Roark find love, it’s Rath’s turn. And what a story his is.
Meghan has given us the BEST (and I mean best!!) heroine EVER!! Charlee is all that and a whole lot more. Her shenanigans, anecdotes and thought-processes are the funniest things I’ve read. EVER.
BOSS MAN BRIDEGROOM had me swooning, giggling, full on belly laughing and crying. And not only from laughter. Meghan has written such a relatable character that you want to be her best friend. You want to live in her light and colour-coded world. She makes everything better.
Rath caught on to this fact. But in true male fashion, he messed up. But how he does he redeem himself to someone like Charlee? Read it and find out.
Amazing read, lovable characters, fabulous setting, all-around literary perfection. A true romcom and one I would desperately love to see play out on the big screen!
*5 Stars*
ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Oh my gosh! This book was so much fun! I was hooked! Rath and Charlee have an amazing connection, and the banter between the two of them was fantastic. I was literally laughing out loud at my kindle at times, I loved it so much.
Both our main characters have been hurt in the past, and are cautious about any new romantic relationships. Both have good reason, but I felt more connected to Charlee’s. Maybe because that was explained a little bit more from the start.
There are some fabulous secondary characters as well, my favourites being Grandma and Linus.
I really enjoyed this one, but I don’t want to give anything away, so I will just say that you need to go out and get this book! Highly recommend!
Rath has been through too many Executive Assistants He hires Charlee after she sticks up for herself. Charlee is a funny and organized hard worker who keeps Rath on his toes. They work well together and have crazy chemistry. They have both been hurt in the past can they see behind the hurt and be together? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended. I literally laughed so hard on some of these scenes Amazing Book
5 Hilarious Stars
Oh Meghan Quinn, you know the way to heart. From your swoony heroes to your quirky heroines, you’ve definitely got my number.
Rath and Charlee are hands down my favorite couple in this interconnected trio of stories. Rath is the quintessential Alpha billionaire who is a frat boy at heart and has a serious bromance with his best friend and soon to be brother-in-law, Bram. Charlee is his new vivacious and quirky Executive Assistant and I. Love. Her!
Quinn takes this office romance to a whole new level and I believe is one of her best RomCom’s to date. Seriously, there were so many parts of this story that I had to take breaks to try to control my laughing just so I could read. These two have some MAJOR chemistry going on and the steaminess is spot on. Bossman Bridegroom is everything I have come to love in a Meghan Quinn story. Hot hero, quirky heroine, tons of humor, and her personal spin of angst that you feel deep down in your gut. I loved every minute of this story. I highly recommend Bossman Bridegroom. If you haven’t read the first two books, The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister and Diary of A Bad Boy, you should to get the full effect of these three guys and their dynamics.

I’ve been waiting for Rath’s story for forever, and it didn’t disappoint. I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.
I wasn’t sure what I thought of Charlee at first; she was really out there, but I ended up loving her. She was funny, sweet, loved her family, etc. And while I wouldn’t say I’m at her level of organizational love, I appreciated that aspect of her personality. Linus was a great side character, and friend to her. I loved getting to see him again along with Rath’s friends and sister, although I wanted to see more of them.
While I liked Rath a lot, I wouldn’t say he was my favorite from this bro trio. I think that honor still goes to Bram. Rath was a fantastic character though. I loved how he was focused on charity while also being a highly successful businessman. I thought we’d see more of his job since a good portion of the book was set there, but the main focus was just on his relationship with Charlee. I haven’t read a book with fake dating/marriage of convenience tropes in a while, so that was a refreshing change of pace.
Another character I really enjoyed was Charlee’s grandma; the banter back and forth between those two was hilarious! I think one of my favorite scenes from this book was game night. I couldn’t stop laughing at one part while Rath was drawing. The main reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because of their lack of communication. I felt like they were both at fault in their own way, but I guess that was what brought drama to the book. Overall, another great read from this author.

Charlee is my Spirit Animal!
Okay I literally laughed my a$* off with this one. From beginning to end I don’t think I stopped laughing. So far no one has been able to make me laugh harder than Meghan Quinn.
I absolutely love Charlee. She is my spirit animal. All her quirky perks totally hits homes. The dynamic between her and Rath put this book over the edge.
This is an absolute must read for RomCom lovers. It has those lmfao moments while having the depth needed to connect to the characters and the story.
