“Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . . How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.Just . . . how?How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color – making me crazy and my life better at the same … and my life better at the same time?
I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.
But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

Rath Westin needs a new assistant, and in his world, personal recommendations from trusted friends can be golden opportunities. So despite an insult fueled first meeting and a distinct difference in personalities, Rath makes just about the least informed hire of his career… and invites a woman into his life who will change everything…
Charlee Cox has proven herself to be the best Executive Assistant any busy CEO could ask for, but what she isn’t is a “yes” woman. Charlee knows what Rath needs, even when he doesn’t know it himself, and she is going to give him just that… with a whole lot of color and FUN added to his life as well…

Boss Man Bridegroom was such an amazing read! I laughed out loud, I cried a little and the whole experience left me with a smile in the end. Charlee and Rath may clash on how his office is going to be run, but it isn’t long before Charlee worms her way into Rath’s heart, and takes over there, too. And just when their working relationship starts to take off… they agree on an even bigger commitment… getting married?!
I loved Charlee! So. freaking. much. She was not only unapologetically quirky and adorable, but her ray of sunshine personality brightened even the surliest of Rath’s moods. I laughed so hard with her nicknames and tell-it-like-it-is attitude, and I adored how she never let Rath bring her down… for long!
I was also completely infatuated with the contradictory Rath and his grouchy and focused work persona. And just when you think you have seen everything from his character, in comes a scene with his buddies and you fall for him ever harder than you thought possible. And don’t even get my started on their foray into historical romances… it’s just seriously the best character development… EVER!
Rath was guarded and did his best to keep Charlee at a distance, but even a successful and driven man like him has very little power when it comes to the force that is Charlee Cox. And seriously, one of my favorite parts is when he starts calling her by her self-appointed nickname… I would crack up, every. single. time.
I loved every minute of this book. It was hilarious (and not stupid funny that isn’t really hilarious, actually hilarious!), entertaining, fresh, and SUPER SEXY!! Yes, the sex is off the charts H.O.T. (once they finally get there that is!) Charlee and Rath were seriously adorable, and their love story, while super fun also had an emotional and endearing side as well. I was so sad to see this one end, it was everything you could ever hope for in a romantic comedy… and so much more!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

Boss Man Bridegroom is quintessential Meghan Quinn. I have been waiting for Rath Westin’s story and it certainly did not disappoint.
I knew from Rath and Charlee’s first meeting that I was going to love this book. Rath is looking for a new assistant and he hires Charlee on a whim. He wasn’t quite prepared for all the color Charlee brought into his life though. Charlee is a delightful character and the ways that Charlee tried to get him to lighten up will make you laugh out loud. He doesn’t want to be drawn to her, but he can’t help it. Then when they decide to embark on a fake engagement to help them both out feelings get even more complicated.
Fake relationships and office romances are two of my favorite tropes and Meghan Quinn combines them brilliantly. I don’t know when I have laughed so hard while reading a book. This is definitely one of my favorites by her!!
I have to start by saying 5 plus stars for this book! I can honestly say that this is going on my forever favorites rom-com list! Since Meghan introduced us to Bram, Roark and Rath in The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister, I have been craving Rath’s story and it is so much more than I could have imagined. Damn does Meghan know how to write a smart, entertaining to the nines book!
This book had me blushing and turned-on SEVERAL TIMES! This book had me sighing and swooning SEVERAL TIMES! This book had me cracking up out loud SEVERAL TIMES! Rath and Bram’s bromance is the funniest thing I have read in a very long time! They are each other’s first true love, after all. LOL. And holy crap do I love Charlee and her bubbly hot for organizational tools attitude. She’s feisty as hell and incredibly intelligent and I could not get enough of how she dealt with Rath’s broody moods. And go her for taking charge and FINALLY getting that man to jump on what he really wanted.
I know I didn’t say much about the plot. To say it’s an office romance/marriage of convenience is too simple because it offers so much more. It’s extremely well written and yes it can be read as a standalone, but why the eff would you NOT read the other books too?! Again, 5 plus stars for Boss Man Bridegroom!
Rath has just gotten a new Executive Assistant and she is one of the strangest people he has ever met. After firing her one hour into her first day, Charlee was back the next day more determined than ever to stick it out. Charlee is beautiful, talkative, colorful, very organized, and turning his mundane existence upside down!
When Rath asks Charlee to be his fake fiancee to help both of them out, their attraction for each other that they had been fighting breaks loose! Wow, the steam! The chemistry! It is off the charts! The fake engagement isn’t so fake anymore and the wedding planning feels real! Stuffy Rath changes before our eyes, color coding the days of the week and wearing green every Thursday. Reading Historical Romance Books! These two have their own little world on the 88th floor complete with a knighted plant and his cousins, a coffee bar and a meditation room. Rath’s world doesn’t know what hit him but he embraces it with arms wide open.
But Rath is still holding back and won’t fully commit due to a past heartbreak. As hard as Charlee tries, she can’t get past his walls. Ultimately this will be the make or break point in their relationship.
I loved the Bromance between Rath and Bram. So sweet and special! And when they were sharing the romance books, I almost fell out of my chair laughing! The relationship between Charlee and her grandma was so touching, they were best friends. The ending was big smiley happy and the epilogue perfect. I loved this book and it was definitely 10 STARS!
Who wouldn’t love a book that starts out at what might be my own personal Mecca, an Office Supply Convention? Who knew that such a thing existed? I love a planner loving, organized, funny strong female character. Charlee is wonderful and funny . her wonderful weirdness and no filter honesty was so refreshing.
Rath having been hurt in a previously relationship is so guarded against Charlee. He is trying so hard to fight against his attraction to her. Rath has good friends who have all fallen in love. His very own bromance, Bram has fallen in love with Rath’s own sister. Rath’s love of Historical Romance just helps you love him more. Rath is so well written you can’t help but be rooting for them.
The high points of this story for me would have to be the mischief making Grandma character, cock blasting Pictionary and that David Hasselhoff sex dream. So many cringeworthy and outrageously hilarious scenes that will forever be some of my favorites. Boss Man Bridegroom is an office romance and marriage of convenience. I read this as a standalone, but we will absolutely be headed back to read the 2 other books in this series. Do yourself a huge favor and read Boss Man Bridegroom!
What a great way to spend the day! I truly enjoyed this book! Quinn outdid herself!
My reading speed was substantially slower than normal for this book because I kept laughing until I cried and having to stop and wipe my laugh tears and blow my nose. This book was hilarious! Charlee is a girl after my own heart with organizational skills and guts to die for. Rath has no idea what is missing in his life until Charlee takes over. I really loved the humor in this book, but I also loved that each of them were solid well-developed characters that were trying to protect themselves from hurt. I couldn’t put it down and I am running on three hours of sleep today as a result. This book was everything. Don’t miss it.
I laughed out loud many times. The sexytimez were excellent. The characters were so well drawn. The only thing I didn’t like was the girl was somewhat of a runner. I hate that crap. It totally went against her personality. It’s like for the second half of the book she became a different person, and she was so freakin awesome in the first half. That’s why it got four stars instead of five. I’ll say this, though. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.
Amazing book!! Rath and Charlee are now one of my favorites couples ever!
Every time I read a book of Meghan Quinn, I laugh out loud and she surprise me with a new story line, characters and jokes. I wish that all of her characters were real and were my friends
5 millions !!
I really enjoyed this book it was fun to read, it kept a smile on my face. Some of it was silly and over-the-top but that’s what made it fun.
5 Laugh out Loud Stars!!!
Boss Man Bridegroom was laugh out laugh amazing. I swear you will be cracking up at some of things that go on in this book. If you have read a Meghan Quinn book before then you know you’re going to get a total rom-com that you won’t want to put down. This book is no different.
Boss Man Bridegroom was amazing and the perfect LOL read. I do however recommend that you run over to the Read Me Romance podcast and listen to Diary of a Bad Boy before starting this book its not a requirement but you will be introduced to Rath Westin.
Rath Westin is in need of a new assistant when a temp assistant totally screwed up a meeting with a big time Office supply executive. While running late to his meeting he is called a turd nugget because he doesn’t have the time to take multiple picture for an attendee. Little does Rath know that this attendee, Charlee, will end up being his new executive assistant and that will be the Boss Man Bridegroom.
Meghan Quinn is the queen of rom-coms. Boss Man Bridegroom checked off every box on my list. A closeted frat-boy millionaire, a bubbly quirky heroine, a sassy grandma, an irresistible forbidden office attraction, a fake-turned-real engagement, and a comical bromance brought forth a hilarious and heart-warming rom-com that I adore so much.
Both Rath and Charlee were adorable characters. I loved Charlee’s sass and quirkiness. She was resourceful and determined. Her bubbly character was a great influence to the closed off Rath. I’ve never laugh so hard with what came out of Charlee’s unfiltered mouth and with her quick wit.
Rath was a little reluctant in engaging in any office romance because of his heartbroken past. However, he cannot help but be weakened by Charlee’s special brand of charm. I burst out laughing as he described how Charlee had re-decorated his office to Bram.
The secondary characters were brilliant additions to the story. Grandma Janice was a doll. I knew where Charlee got her feistiness from. Bram, Roark, Linus, Julia and Sutton all played an important role. Bram and Rath’s amusing bromance added so much liveliness to the story.
I seriously enjoyed this hilarious marriage of convenience, boss/assistant romance. It’s fun, sweet and with enough drama to keep the plot interesting. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a laugh-out-loud rom-com with lovable characters and a believable storyline.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This one deserves 10 *s
I loved Charlee and Rath together. They decide on a marriage of convenience to help each other out. He is her boss who tries his best to keep things on the up and up because of his bad last relationship. Charlee comes in like a tornado, she is spunky, hilarious, outrageous and trying her best to push all his buttons. Love her relationship with her grandma and his with his best friends their bromance carries on from books 1 & 2 and this does not disappoint.
I was so amused by this book. Love all the characters and the story. Bravo Meghan Superb Book!
LOVED IT
Boss Man Bridegroom was much more than a rom-com. It had lots of laughs for sure, but was also a tale of two people who happened to meet by chance and the emotional journey they endured to get to their own, very well deserved, HEA.
Charlee Cox is delightfully quirky and I love how she isn’t afraid to be her best self. She knows her strengths and weaknesses, is smart and determined, passionate and family-oriented. Her meet cute with Rath Westin and her love of organization is so funny. Their witty banter continued through most of the book and had me laughing out loud more than once.
We first met Rath, big brother to Julia, in Secrets of Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister. His bromance with Bram, his BFF since college and fellow successful business owner, brings even more laughs and also shows a very tender side of Rath. If only he could open up to our heroine who is in need of this for the relationship to progress into something real.
Toss in a meddling grand mom who means well but winds up hurting both of them, and you get a gamut of emotions. I love how raw and honest Charlee is with her feelings and could easily relate to her. I admired how she handled being hurt before and didn’t waiver in what she wants in a relationship. I have read many “the assistant falls in love with the boss books,” but this engagement of convenience has many depths and layers. I also loved Rath’s swoony side and how he truly thought she was smart and beautiful and hung the moon. Loved how he worried about her and how he fought for her and to make things right.
What I love most about Meghan’s writing is her attention to so many small details that make you feel as if you are there. From the descriptions of her clothing, their office environment, his apartment, to when they are playing a game or ordering take out, it all pulls you into the story and helps you understand and relate to them. I love how he was open-minded with her office management style, and how she introduced him to reading romance and to enjoy the sunshine.
They are both so vulnerable having been hurt before, and are slow to trust their feelings. They have explosive chemistry, and when they are finally intimate, they simply can’t stay away from each other. Lots of steamy sexy times!
There are also really heartbreaking moments in Boss Man Bridegroom when they both come to realize their mistakes, forgive each other, and realize life isn’t worth living without the other. When they finally allow themselves to open up and be loved, they are able to surrender completely and be truly happy.
I loved the epilogue of their lives in the future. Just wondering if she stayed as his executive assistant or perhaps took on another role, such as working for his foundation, instead.
FLOVED IT!!!
I loved every single minute of Charlee and Rath’s story. I was laughing one minute and then bawling my eyes out the next, with some HOT-AS-HELL-STEAMY-SWOONING-FANNING MYSELF moments in between. I always love Meghan’s characters so much! I highly recommend this book!!!
Funny sweet and sexy!
I haven’t laughed so hard at a book in a long time. Definitely in my top ten of re-reads and my favorite characters from Quinn. Charlee is a complete hoot! I loved everything about her especially her innumerable quirks. Charlee Cox, the aficionado of organization and office supplies finds herself in her happy place after being downsized. Imagine her surprise when she ends her day with an armful of supplies and a new job. Her high hopes are dashed when her office space and everything on the eighty-eighth floor is monochromatic and bland as all get up. It’s downright depressing. The topping on her craptastic first day–being fired within hours of starting. What’s a girl to do? Return the next day and challenge her boss. After all he didn’t specifically say “you’re fired.” And be the best executive assistant as possible.
Rath Westin is the odd man out in his circle of friends since he’s the only one not in a couple. Hell, even playboy Roark has Sutton. It’s not like he’s looking or wanting a woman. He just wants the camaraderie the three of them used to have. Plus, he’s falling behind at work since he keeps firing an assistant faster than some people change underwear. Rath is beyond irritable. Linus has the perfect solution. Charlee, the girl he was rude to at the convention center, but she stood up for herself something he desperately needs from his EA. He hired her on the spot. The entire first week together was riddled with challenges. A new song every day at the elevator. Color-coding days. She even knew exactly what to feed him and when he needed to take a break from work. The perfect EA. All he needs to do is stop thinking about bending her over his desk or the numerous other fantasies he has about her. He made the mistake of falling for his EA before. NEVER AGAIN.
But he also can’t live without his Charlee “bag of dicks” as an assistant or his girl.
5+ STARS
NO SPOILERS!
Boss Man Bridegroom was PURE ROMANCE PERFECTION, and I couldn’t have loved it more! Meghan Quinn created a beautiful, hilarious, sexy, swoon-worthy, and immensely entertaining standalone contemporary romance/romantic comedy with Boss Man Bridegroom, and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with the storyline, characters, and Meghan’s prose and phenomenal sense of humor.
Everything about Boss Man Bridegroom was exceptional, and it has definitely been the BEST and my FAVORITE romance from Meghan Quinn to date. Her books are always amazing, but she really went all out for Rath and Charlee’s story. I loved the office romance, marriage of convenience trope. I die for office romances, and the marriage of convenience was just icing on the cake. I also loved all of the hilarious and laugh-out-loud humor. The characters were an absolute riot, and I’ve never laughed so hard or as much while reading one of Meghan’s books. Boss Man Bridegroom has definitely been one of her FUNNIEST novels to date.
The characters were the true stars of the show (as they should be), and I absolutely loved all of them with all of my heart and soul. Rath and Charlee have by far been two of my favorite Meghan Quinn characters EVER. I loved Rath and Charlee’s fun and extremely likable and lovable personalities. I loved their red-hot chemistry together and how their relationship progressed throughout. And I especially loved all of their banter and interactions with each other. I also loved the entire cast of secondary characters, and they certainly made everything more hilarious and entertaining. Rath’s two best friends (namely Bram) and Charlee’s grandma were a hoot, and made me smile, laugh, and snort so many times I lost count. Rath and Charlee were phenomenal in every way, and I absolutely loved their story and was so ecstatic with the conclusion. It was honestly perfect and made me so incredibly happy.
Boss Man Bridegroom was the BEST and my FAVORITE romance from Meghan Quinn to date, and it was PURE ROMANCE GOLD! I absolutely LOVED Rath and Charlee’s beautiful, sexy, funny, swoon-worthy, entertaining, and MUST READ love story, and I would HIGHLY recommend it!
I loved this book so much. I true Meghan Quinn fashion, I fell I love with these characters and the laughs just kept coming
Meghan Quinn hit it out of the ball park with this book. I’ve been trying to find a book that keeps my interest, this book definitely did. Rath is a different type of hero: strong in the bedroom and office and goofy in other areas of life. Charlee, the heroine is funny (loves office products, like really LOVES organizational planners), is spunky and hilarious. Her Grandmother is funny, sarcastic, out there and is the type I want for a grandmother or even better the perfect mother-in-law, ( I can only wish). Ms.Quinn keep up the great writing, such a really GOOD book!
