“Will you do me the greatest honor of all time and be my bridegroom?” she asks, hope in her eyes . . . How did I get here? My assistant, bent on one knee, holding my hand, her expectant face waiting for an answer.Just . . . how?How did I go from being insulted by Charlee Cox to hiring her to be my assistant? How is it that she’s chaos in color – making me crazy and my life better at the same … and my life better at the same time?
I never thought I would be staring down at her bright blue eyes begging me to go along with this ridiculous scheme I suggested.
Yes, I suggested. Like the idiot I am, I thought hey, why not start an HR nightmare and have my assistant ask me to marry her?
Confused? Don’t worry, so am I.
But try to follow along, because this is how I became Boss Man Bridegroom.

Getting fake engaged to your hot, alpha male, billionaire boss can’t be the worst idea, right?
Wrong. It’s a very bad idea, very bad indeed. But it felt like a solution to all of my problems, and he was the one who offered up the “scheme.” I was just the one who got down on one knee.
HOT billionaire
Marriage of convenience
Slow Burn with an EXTREMELY smoldering end
Office romance with all the ALPHA swoon
Romantic Comedy that will melt your heart
Boss Man Bridegroom by Meghan Quinn was pure entertainment! There wasn’t a moment I didn’t laugh and giggle. This series is so much fun and a must read!!
Rath Westin was first introduced in book 1, The Secret of Dating My Best Friend’s Sister. His bromance with Bram Scott especially was EPIC! Rath had a relationship with his previous assistant which ended with him heartbroken. Now he’s brooding and intense. He hires Charlee because of her ballsy, headstrong attitude. He soon realizes he doesn’t know what he got himself into with her. She keeps him on his toes. But he can’t help but find her beautiful, smart, and funny… Though a bit annoying.
Charlee is wildly inappropriate in the best ways possible. Quirky. Colorful. She shines bright like the sun and has no filter what-so-ever which I absolutely loved!! Bubbly, energetic, always organized, and ready to work. She’s a chatterbox and doesn’t shut up, which really irritates Rath at first.
Rath tries so hard to fight the undeniable attraction he feels towards Charlee. The lines soon begin to blur. It’s Rath’s idea to get married to fulfill Charlee’s grandma’s dream of seeing her walk down the aisle. With time, their feelings for one another grow. It’s no longer a fake engagement but so much more.
This is one of my favorite series by Meghan. This is a standalone series but in all honesty you should read book 1 and so forth. You get to meet each of the characters and fall in love with them with each book. Boss Man Bridegroom was witty, sexy, sweet, and filled with so much tension and feels! I couldn’t get enough!! Meghan’s brilliance shines through with each passage. It’s such fun reading her stories!
New release from Meghan Quinn: Boss Man Bridegroom is an office romance with all the ALPHA swoon and it’s live on Amazon and in KU!
Romantic Comedy | Office Romance | Marriage of Convenience
Incredibly fun and absolutely HILARIOUS! I laughed the whole way through and I’m not exaggerating at all! Meghan Quinn knows what her readers want and always delivers. From devastating breakups to insanely romantic makeups Meghan Quinn SLAYS it. Again, and again, and again. There’s really no wonder why she’s one of my top 3 favorite authors of all time! Her books are magical!
Boss Man Bridegroom is a unique mix of an office romance and marriage of convenience. This is a story about getting over broken hearts, finding love in the most unexpected ways, and letting your freak flag fly! Meghan Quinn writes the best quirky characters and Charlee is one of my favorite heroines EVER! I love her zest and outlook on life and the way she projects herself on her grumpy boss, Rath. The comedy? Top notch! As I mentioned above, I laughed the whole way though. I simply couldn’t get enough and didn’t want it to end. Even though I flew through this book because of how invested I was in Charlee and Rath’s unconventional love story, I wished there was MORE. Not because the story isn’t perfect the way it is but because I simply loved their story HARD. It’s just so GOOD.
If you haven’t read a Meghan Quinn book you need to rectify that immediately! She’s such a talented author and each and every book she writes are easily top favorites of mine. This one in particular is going down to be one of my top 3 favorites of hers. Seriously!
Now, Boss Man Bride Groom IS a standalone but characters from two other books do make appearances here. You can choose to read this prior to this one (if you haven’t already) or not. It doesn’t matter either way, but you may see a few small spoilers from the other relationships here. I’ll list the books below.
PS: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
Want more? Here are the other two that are interconnected with this one (again, you don’t have to read them before this one, but I recommend them regardless):
The Secret to Dating Your Best Friends Sister (Bram and Julia): https://amzn.to/3aocxqf
Diary of a Bad Boy (Roark and Sutton): https://amzn.to/2NCFMw6
Since Bram and Julia’s book I’ve been waiting for Rath’s story and I can say it was completely worth the wait! Funny, romantic, heartbreaking, you can find everything in this book. Rath is a closed-up person and Charlee is a living unicorn, glitter and all. Can you imagine both of them in the same office with color coded clothes and pens? It’s hilarious! I have to say that Charlee is now my favorite heroine from all of Meghan’s books and I could read a whole series with her and her organizations skills. Maybe she can publish a planner for us? 😉
I was so excited to see Ms. Quinn taking us back to the world of Bram, Roark and Rath!
I know I was waiting, not so patiently for Rath’s story and boy did Ms. Quinn not disappoint!
This is an office romance with the Meghan Quinn twist!
I loved the brashness of Charlee! She is color and light and even though she has had something horrible to her, she has tried to pick herself up and dust herself off! I love her love of all things office supply, her friendship with her grandma and her absolute amazingness at her job as an executive assistant. I could so relate to her (being as though I was one of those myself for 20 years!).
Rath is a determined man, he likes his things just so and he is particular in his business. He is absolutely floored when Charlee starts working for him, bringing color and light into his world, along with the newfound love of romance books!
The chemistry between Rath and Charlee is epic and I loved reading how hard they fought against the pull that they had. It took a big scare to bring it all together!
As with all of Ms. Quinn’s stories, you get hilarity, I found myself giggling out loud many times when I was reading. She brings wowza hot heat and lots of heart.
It was absolutely amazing to see all the past characters in these series to make an appearance! The bromance between Bram and Rath is total #relationshipgoals !!
Thank you, Ms. Quinn, for saving the best for last!
I’ve yet to pick up a book by Meghan Quinn that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. She writes the kinds of books I want to read, the ones I anticipate anxiously, the ones that always seem to be at the top of my TBR list. Her sense of humor just does it for me. It’s outrageous and hilarious, and I’m guaranteed to be laughing out loud while reading her books. But she also has a very real emotional and angsty side, and the way she blends the humor and the heart together in her romances is pure magic for me.
Boss Man Bridegroom is a standalone novel, loosely connected to Diary of a Bad Boy and The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister and based on the love stories of three college-frat-buddies-turned-billionaire-businessmen who weren’t necessarily looking for it but found it all the same. The last man standing is Rath Weston, and Meghan brings him to his knees, literally, with an uproariously funny workplace, marriage of convenience romance.
Character development is something that Meghan Quinn does incredibly well, whether it be the lead characters or supporting characters. She creates these wildly endearing, quirky characters, and by the time I’ve finished the book, I feel like I know these people. I love that about her books so much. Rath is a really sweet, all around good guy. A self-made, super wealthy yet philanthropic businessman, he’s also a great brother and friend, and his bromance with his best friend, Bram, has been one of my favorite parts of all three of these books. Quinn pairs him with the uber-organized, color-coding, super perky but sometimes filterless, Charlee Cox, as his new executive assistant. I positively adored them together. The back-and-forth bantering between the two of them was fantastically entertaining, but beneath all that witty repartee there was some smoking hot chemistry building. It wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn novel, however, without an emotional punch, and she certainly dished up some heartache and heartbreak to Rath and Charlee.
Cleverly amusing, slow-burn sexy and chock full of all the feels, Boss Man Bridegroom was an unputdownable pleasure to read. Five smooches from me!
~Danielle Palumbo, Red Cheeks Reads
This has the trademark humor that I expect from Meghan Quinn books. I found all the characters lovable especially the grandma but I absolutely loved how fun loving Charlee was and how she made Rath that much more fun. His friends too, were awesome so I expect to be reading their books (unless, the audiobooks go on sale…hint hint). Overall, the book was fun but add in the great narration (Connor Crais and Kelsey Navarro are amazing) and really, it is a fun way to spend a few hours!
I listened to the audiobook. This book had so many funny moments. I was pleasantly surprised. I have read many books that are described as romantic comedies, and they barely generate a smile. Boss Man Bridegroom was full of lol moments.
I liked Charlie and Rath together. Loved the way she helped him to loosen up. I liked Charlee’s quirky, colorful nature. I’m sure we all knew what was going on with Grandma.
The part of this book that irritated me was at Julia and Bram’s wedding. I get that they never had a discussion about Vanessa, and I would have been ticked off too. Yet I was surprised at how unyielding Charlee’s response was. I was so sure she would confront Rath. Call him out.
I guess it was necessary in order to show how both Rath and Charlee were holding tightly to past hurts. I just thought it was weird that this ONE thing would convince her that everything else was a lie.
After the wedding issue, the tone of the book to a major turn down for me. What had been lighthearted, funny, and relaxing became frustrating, irritating, and went on too long. I understood Charlee being hurt, but she was unable to recognize anyone else’s hurt, and unwilling to hear what was being said.
It seemed outsice of the character that was established for Charlee. That’s just my opinion. It did take it from 5 stars to 4 stars for me.
I’m just gonna go ahead and say that everyone needs to read this book!!!! The amount of laughs I got out of this story is unreal. I listened to the audio version and while I’m sure the written version is just as spectacular I can’t recommend the audio enough. The narration was spot on. I can’t imagine it being narrated by anyone other than Kelsey Navarro & Connor Crais. I can’t tell you how many times my family looked at me like I was crazy as I burst out laughing with my headphones on.
There isn’t a single thing I disliked about this book. I happened to read this out of order for the series. This is the only book of the series I have read and I have now moved the first two in the series to the top of my TBR list! Meghan Quinn was a new author for me and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to discover her. I will be exploring her back list very soon.
Honestly this story deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. Please just do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this book, any version. The marriage of convenience between Charlee and her boss Rath will light up your life.
Sweet, sexy, a bit of drama and angst, a few tears, loveable characters, a bromance to top all bromances and a whole load of laugh out loud, crazy moments. I will never think of the game of pictionary in the same way again, seriously I had tears rolling down my face it was so funny.
I loved this, I needed a pick me up and this was recommended by a very good friend. Thankyou, this was an absolute treat to read and made me smile just when I needed it!!
Five Charlee bag of dicks stars
This was my first book by M Quinn and won’t be the last. I had a fantastic time reading this story. It had me laughing out loud. Boss Man Bridegroom is a story about a fake relationship that turns into a real one. A story about a brooding CEO and his crazy assistant who brings colours into his boring life. And it was great to watch how their connection was getting stronger every day. I really loved their relationship. The perfect blend of funny, swoony and sexy
Page 9 of the book and I was all in! I made the comment that Charlee is me… she’s obsessed with planners, notebooks, pens, sticky notes. Plus add in Charlee’s vibrant, take no crap personality and she’s my soul sister. I’m sad that she’s just a fictional character.
We meet Charlee and get a glimpse of Rath at an office supply convention. Charlee finds herself a job as Rath’s executive assistant and manages to turn his world UP. SIDE. DOWN. He doesn’t know what hit him that first day, he acts out in his true fashion only to have Charlee show him up the next day.
When Rath finally starts to accept some of the changes she’s made in his office life, his will power is tested to extremes, where he makes the rash decision of asking Charlee to marry him. A marriage of convenience of course. But as they start spending the time together, they realize it is more than just a fake engagement… there are real feelings involved.
This may be my favorite Meghan Quinn book yet, maybe because I connected and understood Charlee so well and hello, Rath is handsome with his sinewy arms and corded muscles! I laughed out loud so many times throughout this book. If you’re looking for a humorous office romance, fake engagement, happily ever after, you should pick this one up. I also loved seeing bits and pieces from side characters… Bram and Roark. Just makes you happy to see more of their future and know that Charlee and Rath have an amazing future together as well. I seriously cannot gush about this book any more than I have!
I picked this book up off of Kindle Unlimited. The Facebook ad just drew me in and I had to click on the link. Good job Meghan Quinn on the advertising!
She delivers a quirky story about a woman that needs a marriage of convenience so she marries her boss.
I just love the way she writes. I laughed out loud and cried several times while reading. I’ve also read many of the passages out loud for my Hubby’s enjoyment and he laughed too. Charlee was just the most perfect character. She was fun, she was wacky, and she was real. I loved seeing how she feel for her hunk of a boss, who definitely needed a woman in his life.
If your looking for a fun, well written love story, check this one out!
Meghan Quinn, as I’ve pointed out in a previous review, writes some of the best Romantic Comedies. There is minimal angst and the stories have an overall light feel to them and Boss Man Bridegroom is no exception.
This book is a giant case of laugh-out-loud. Charlee Cox a.k.a Bag of Dicks is an OTT bubbly personality who does not kid around where her job is concerned. She’s hilarious, she’s crazy, she’s fun and she is the epitome of foot-in-mouth situations.
Rath Westin is the opposite of Charlee in every possible way. An introvert to her extrovert, Charlee’s bright personality jarred Rath initially. A man ruled by numbers, stats and a lover of his routine, Charlee’s sugar rush persona drives Rath up the walls and keeps him on his toes before he gets used to her.
As an ambivert, more introvert than extrovert though, a massive part of me sympathized with Rath on multiple occasions. The constant happy-go-lucky persona does take a toll on an introvert. *Poor guy*
Charlee, while a fun character and a proud Skittles Queen, did get a little too much for this soul. Don’t get me wrong, I loved her and how unashamed she was to be loud but as I mentioned, the introvert rules over me.
As far as characterization is concerned, this might be the first Meghan Quinn hero that I didn’t swoon over. He was a little too bland and came across as aloof (another introvert character trait) and guarded for me to fully appreciate.
Overall, Boss Man Bridegroom is a fun read which is high on the humour and lust factor and a strong case of insta-love, which does work in the favour of the storyline.
3 Stars!
Another amazing book by Meghan Quinn. She had me laughing from the very beginning! I mean who can’t love a girl with an office supply and planner obsession!! Plus you get more of the Bram and Rath bromance with Roark! This book leaves me wanting more for them, not because the story feels incomplete but because I just want to spend more time in their world!!! I put this as a definite must read!
Oh Rath, with his stern serious composure. Underneath you know he is an amazing man with a hilarious bromance with one of his best friends Bram.
Rath can’t hold an assistant long at all. Between how scary he comes across and how much he needs organization and efficiency, no one stands a chance. Until Charlee Cox with a C-O-X not C-O-C-K-S.
Beautiful and extremely organized Charlee is in need of a new assistant job as this one working for Rath miraculously falls into her lap.
Not a fan of her nickname from her Grandmother but I can oversee that with the quality of the storyline.
Charles’s personality started very annoying. So hyper and nonstop it was not only exhausting Rath but me too. However, it didn’t take long for her personality to get better.
Overall it was funny, charming, heartbreaking, and loving. To top it off you just can’t resist Rath, Bram, and Roark.
Wow!
I read this book without any prethoughts because I like Meghan Quinn and I love her books – so why not? So I was slightly surprised when this book knocked me out – TKO! It was so amazing! I just love Meghan’s writing style.
BOSS MAN BRIDEGROOM features Charlee and Rath. They couldn’t be more different if they tried. Charlee is this over the top, wildly blabbering, loving character and Rath is the brooding boss that – deep down – has a huge heart.
Charlee started working for Rath as his assistant and it was a difficult start for them. Rath was used to people pleaser and not really competent assistants. Well that’s not what he got with Charlee. I have to say that she really was a little over the top sometimes but it was so hilarious to read about Rath’s reactions. I guess I would be a Rath in this story
They both got their hearts broken in the past and are learning to heal together. By actually being fake engaged. Yeah totally crazy but when you will read this book it will all make sense and I bet you will love it as much as I did
If you love a good rom-com and Meghan Quinn I’ll deeply recommend this book to you
I FLOVED this book! Charlee was such a breath of crazy quirky fresh air. Yes she’s over the top, but I think it works for this book, she’s the ying to Rath’s yang. Rath is a straight and narrow stick up his ass business man. And Charlee knocks his world upside down. She doesn’t put up with him, and he needs someone fun to pull him out of his life funk. I laughed so hard during this book and it was just wonderful, and the side characters just added to it. I love Meghan Quinn’s writing, and this book does NOT disappoint!

Get ready to laugh, y’all.
Plot overview: Sunshine-bright and quirky Charlee becomes the personal assistant—and fake fiance—of straight-laced, uptight, billionaire CEO Rath. Hilarity and sexy times ensue.
I’m a HUGE sucker for the “grumpy hero falls for the sunshine-y heroine” trope. I pretty much read anything I can get my hands on that even hints at this trope. It might be my all-time favorite. As far as grumpy guys falling for sunshine-y, perky girls goes, this book is a cut above the rest.
I’ll admit that in the very beginning, Charlee irritated me a little. Her extreme quirkiness and…joy made her fairly unprofessional for the office setting. I can’t imagine an office anywhere that would allow her to get away with what she got away with. Any boss in his right mind would’ve fired her. But somehow…she grew on me. Much like she grew on Rath. And by the end of the book, I loved her and was totally rooting for her to get her happily ever after. I guess what I’m saying is, be patient with Charlee. She gets less annoying as the book progresses.
Rath, on the other hand, is damn near perfect. He’s hot and grumpy and a total professional in the office, as opposed to the walking sexual harassment lawsuit so many billionaire CEOs are in Romancelandia. He’s awesome book boyfriend material and I’m considering adding him to my all-time favorite book boyfriends who’d make the best boyfriends in real life list.
Now, this book features characters from The Secret to Dating Your Best Friend’s Sister and Diary of a Bad Boy, but it stands alone nicely. Although, I’d highly recommend you also read the other 2 books because they’re all kinds of awesome. But if you aren’t so inclined, you can read Boss Man Bridegroom without feeling like you’re missing out on any inside jokes or anything.
Now, about the comedy…
Holy crap, y’all. I laughed until I almost peed. Not many books can make me laugh as hard as this one did. There’s one point in the story when Charlee starts telling embarrassing stories about herself to deflect from Rath’s embarrassment, and the results are, well, pee-inducing. If you’ve had a bad day and need a pick-me-up, you should just go download this book and keep reading until you hit that part. It’ll instantly improve your day.
Long-story-short, this one’s another cute, funny, fluffy, low-angst story from Meghan Quinn. I highly recommend it.
