These two characters!!! You can feel the chemistry, the push & pull, the banter, it all has you just waiting for Sonia & Brad to “get it”. Mia writes a story that draws you in and keeps you turning the pages, eager to see what is going to happen next. Add the strong family behind Brad and the cuteness that is brought through his nieces you can’t help but want more. I like that Sonia just fit right in the fold and that the brothers did not make an exception for her, even when she was the perfect match for Brad. The ending: PERFECT!
When it comes to Mia Kayla and her books the wait is always worth waiting. We have Sonia, secretary extraordinaire and Brad the boss she hates. The thing is when they need help with one another readers watch out for the sparks it is mind blowing. I loved how funny Mia Kayla created these two right from the beginning they are perfect for each other. We have not just Brad in business mode but we also see a caring, loving and fun uncle. Sonia may seem a little bossy at first but man what she has with Brad is awesome. Again Mia Kayla just keeps getting better, naughtier with her characters and so loveable.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Loved this book. Read it in one day. Couldn’t put it down. Mia Kayla is a new author for me. It was fun, flirty, and sarcastic at times. Sonia’s boss drives her crazy. She never looked at him in the romantic way until a series of events force both of them to see each other in a different light. The problem is that Sonia works for him. Why would that stop anyone? I can’t wait for the next brother’s story. Enjoy!!!
One of the best office/enemies to lover books I’ve read.
Brad and Sonia were so cute! I loved their banter, I loved the way they were with their families. I loved everything about this book. Addictive, funny and so amazing!
Highly recommended.
* I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest and voluntary review *

I will say I’m a little bummed the blurb email/letter isn’t actually a part of the book. I almost think it’s kind of misleading as blurbs go because she isn’t all in. She is not the one catching a case of the feels. She does not like him though that’s for certain. Until…She actually starts to get to know him.
Prejudiced by years of only seeing the bad and none of the good, make Sonia’s case for her. Anyone would believe he’s a major @ss especially seeing what she’s seen. However, people aren’t one sided. And Sonia learns that in the long run!
4.5 BILF Stars!
I loved this charming and steamy enemies to lovers, office romance! Sonia has worked for Brad for years. She is the perfect assistant, meeting all his needs fluently, and never falling for his panty-melting charms. Suddenly they are both in desperate need of mutual favors, and this is where the fun really begins! Sonia and Brad are so perfect together and have amazing chemistry! It was so much fun watching them realize they never really knew each other as well as they thought. Brad was so patient, loving, and swoony! I fell hard for him right along with sweet, and sassy Sonia. I also loved their family and friends and the awkward, and honest interactions. There were so many laugh out loud moments but many sweet, steamy, and heartfelt moments as well. This is my first read by Mia Kayla and I will definitely look for more of her work!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was such a good read. An enemies to lovers…. kind of. Enemies might be a strong word but either way this book was great. Also it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud at Sonia’s dartboard!!! There is a lot of build up and tension. They don’t run into anything which I loved it wasn’t an insta love etc. When Brad owes Sonia favor we get to see Brad for who he really is and underneath the suits he actually is a human. That opens Sonia’s eyes and they progress from there. Great read!!!
Boss I Love To Hate is a fun office romance. Sonia is a secretary to Brad the hot millionaire who is so much more than the playboy he seems. Sonia doesn’t like Brad very much and he hasn’t really noticed her in the two years she has been his secretary , but a deal between the two changes everything . A truly fun and enjoyable read that I hated to see end.
This is the first book I’ve read by Mia Kayla, but it definitely won’t be my last. I loved Sonia and Brad’s story. While her friends think of Brad as a BILF, Sonia thinks of him as a BILK, lol. When does Sonia’s feelings change and what happens that has her thinking he’s a BILF? If you love reading about strong, feisty females and sexy as sin males, I recommend this book. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say, if you enjoy a steamy read with some wonderful characters, you will love this book. I can’t wait to read Mason’s story.
5 BOSS I LOVE TO HATE STARS!! This book was a fun sexy read that kept me flipping pages. Sonia and Brad story has all the feels, there were times I was laughing and other times saying oh no. Mia Kayla always gives us readers great books and this one is no different.
I think this might be one of my favorite books by Ms Kayla! Boss I Love to Hate is a slow burn office romance with a bit of frenemies to lovers thrown in.
Sonia and Brad are both interesting characters. I found myself sympathetic to her and wanting to shake her at the same time when it came to how she perceived herself and the end of her last relationship. It was almost too easy to put my (younger) self in her shoes. Brad was a character that had more layers than he initially appeared to and I honestly grew to like him – and root for him- as the story went on.
The interactions between these two were funny and I enjoyed watching their blinders for each other come off. There was a sense of inevitable for their relationship, almost like they just needed the right situation to see the other persons value.
One of the things I appreciated about Boss I Love to Hate was the fact that the conflict wasn’t one big “thing” it was several smaller, realistic issues sprinkled through the story. Yes, there was one larger event that forced decisions, but it was truly organic to the story.
The secondary cast is smallish in terms of characters that make an impact, most specifically Brad’s bothers. There was a bit of a tease that Mason might have a story coming and from what I saw here, it would be fun to see what happens for him.
This was a cute fast read. I love office romcoms and this one was pretty great.
This story was so much fun to read! I loved how it was cute and sexy, funny and smart, just a bit of over the top cockiness(which I absolutely LOVED!) and the slow build up to the sexy scenes was perfect!! i loved watching Sonia and Brad realize that what you want may be closer than you think, you just have to be open to it! This story had me flipping the pages to see what witty banter and sexy kisses would be next!! I really hope to read more about the Brisken Brothers!!!
This was such a cute storyline! While Sonia acknowledges that her boss is super hot, she also recognizes that other aspects of him are not and treats him the way he deserves. Brad seems oblivious to how he acts and the decisions he makes and continues to put himself first after his family. When both Sonia and Brad need favors from each other, they come to an agreement to help each other, but the more time they spend together the more the lines between boss and employee get blurred. The comedy aspect of this book had my literally laughing out loud while reading! I loved the witty banter between Sonia and Brad and how that built up from a working relationship, to a friendship, and then a relationship. Overall, I really enjoyed this book solely based on the comedic level it provided in addition to the storyline not being the average insta-love. In addition, I also liked the underlying aspect of family being first no matter what and the relationship between Brad and his nieces. This was my first Mia Kayla read but I will definitely look into more of her books, especially if there is a book on Charles and one of Mason in the future.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
* First read from Mia Kayla
This office romance took me by surprise. With this book not being a hot and heavy story but has deep connections between all of the characters and a great story to go with it, I could not put it down. For my first read by Mia Kayla, I was highly surprised to say the lease. I am not sure if there was a book before this one for this family dynamic, but even if there was, I did not feel like I was missing anything.
Brad and Sonia have some issues that need to be straightened out before they can make a go at anything towards a relationship. However, they make no secret of that. I will say at times I wanted to smack Sonia for some of her thoughts when it came to her ex and putting her feelings for him towards Brad, but in the end, she came to her senses.
Boss, I Love to Hate is an enjoyable story, and I can’t wait to read Marcus’ story.
I loved this book and enjoyed reading it. Sonia and Brad thought they knew the other person only to realize they truly didn’t know the other at all. I loved how falling in love with their love story.
4 Cranky Stars
Sonia thought herself as ordinary but in love, until her long time boyfriend Jeff dumped her for a super model. It had been 8 months since their break up and she was still not over it or moving on with her life. She enjoyed her job even if her boss, Brad was the biggest man whore and asshole to work for, but on good days they had this love hate thing where she would answer him back with sarcasm. She had been employed by his brothers Mason and Charles as they knew she wouldn’t fall for his charms two years ago, he had been through so many secretary’s where he would sleep with them then they would have to fire them. Charles had two children Sarah and Mary they were Brad’s weakness, he loved those girls especially little Mary.
Sonia was part of her best friends wedding, but found out that Jeff and her replacement had also been invited. She didn’t want him to see that she hadn’t moved on. Her friend came up with the idea of taking her boss as he was so good looking Jeff would see she had moved on. Now to convince Brad, surprisingly he didn’t take much convincing. Now this changes the dynamics of all there relationships. A little predictable but the humour made up for it for me.
OMG within the first few mins of this book, I was laughing and totally onboard with why Sonia titled his BILK, (BOSS I’D LOVE TO KILL), i kinda felt right there with her!!
Brad was just a total A**h**e, completely impervious to anyone else but his own needs. Even is the was drop dead gorgeous!! So what if he was a demanding boss and expected his secretary to carry out every task he wished, she should be happy to get doing his laundry etc right?
What happens when circumstance change your views? When seeing someone in unexpected situations alters all your pre conceived ideas? THIS STORY IS WHAT HAPPENS!!
From beginning to end this pair had me in fits of laughter, bouts of blushing and my heart invested in their push pull sassy shoves!!! Their denials of being attracted to each other to their chemistry exploding had me glued to each and every page!!! They way the deal with friends and family had me about fit to burst out laughing at the most inappropriate times and i still couldn’t put the book down!! This book was definitely one that took me by total surprise and not at all what i expected from a boss to lovers senario !! It was so much more! I just didn’t want it to end !!!
Boss I Love to Hate by Mia Kayla is a slow burn, steamy hot office romance that brings the sparks and the feels together in one read.
Sonia and Brad make for interesting main characters; they make the story pop and come alive. Brad is Sonia’s boss and he is this jerk towards her. Sonia is a bit standoffish and cool, works all the time and needs to learn to take life slower and not work so much. When Brad and Sonia are around each other, there is TONS of fireworks and chemistry. Sonia helps out her jerk of a boss and in return, she gets granted a favor. This is where the story really takes off. The plot is fresh, it moves at a good clip, the characters are amazing and the heat and steam is hot!! I love the feels that this story provided. I enjoyed Brad and Sonia’s story and the sweet ending the story had. I look forward to the next book by Ms. Kayla.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
This book was a refreshing twist on the boss trope and I loved it! Definitely recommend this book!!!
