It was an okay story which at times felt somewhat rushed. Also (and I know, I need to suspend belief, this is a book with dragons after all) but there were some really, really big coincidences that I just had trouble buying into and which took me out of the story a bit.
I never really bought into Oryn as a hero or into his relationship with one of his employees. Adley was fine as the heroine, albeit a little uninteresting. Like with the first in the series, this one also had a lot of editing errors, from silly things like “At least her bran and underwear matched.” to worse ones like “‘If I ever find him anywhere near you, I will be held responsible for my actions.'”. In context, it’s clearly “won’t be held” and it’s so many of these that just takes a reader out of the story.
It could certainly be read as a standalone as it didn’t give anything away from the other book. I picked it up on Kindle Unlimited, where it is available at the time of this review. The ideas are promising and I want to keep giving the author chances, but the execution needs work still.
Oryn is the oldest of four dragons All four of him and his brothers have been cursed to be alone for their lives Oryn has always thought he would find his one. Now that he has given up finding his True Mate he is working in Auckland and runs into someone working in his company. The minute he looks into her eyes he knows that she is the one. Once she is gone and he is back in his office he immediately sets his assistant on the task of learning who she is. Adley works for a marketing firm that Oryn’s company hired out to and she is working as an entry level worker because her superior take credit for her work. When Oryn finds her on her break in the little kitchen area and goes in to talk she has no idea who he is and is open with him. However once he tells who he is she is stunned and starts apologizing. Later sparks fly between them when he asks her out. Will Adley agree to go out with him? What will she do when she learns what he is?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A nice tale to add to the series
Adley, a human assistant marketing executive, literally runs into Oryn, a dragon shifter and CEO, at his office. As the story progresses the earth moves, secrets are partially shared, and the past may overrun the present to derail their future. Alexis Davie’s Boss Dragon is a nice tale to add to her Dragon Curse of Lunca and the oldest cursed dragon brother finding love. This book can be read independently from book one in the series.

After 5 millenia, can’t we just get along? Oryn, was convinced, he would be alone for life. The dragons were cursed not to find their mates for 5000 years. Or if they did find their mates, they risked harming or killing them. He was the oldest of the dragon princes and had the gift of the earth. Adley, a human moved to Aukland after escaping an abusive relationship with Darius. She surmised he was a shapeshifter because of his extreme emotions and violence. Where did that come from? She works for a company, that contracted work for Oryn’s company. Being non confrontational, she lets senior employees steal her ideas, promote them as her own and take rewards. How Adley met Oryn and furthered their relationship is epic! When he was younger, Oryn, had a physical controntation with wolves and expects them to want to take revenge .Naomi was his personal assistant who was with him since he started the company. She was his left and right hand. She had a few unexpected surprises that got Oryn thinking. All these people converge in a unexpected critical way. Will the wolves catch up with Oryn? Do they present a danger to him or Adley? What will Naomi do? What will Queen Liris say? Can Oryn and Adley have a happily ever after? Nice story. Usually the series goes in a certain order, like start with the youngest to the oldest or the oldest to the youngest. Yet this second book in the series is focusing on the oldest.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Boss Dragon by Alexis Davie is the second book in the Dragon Curse Of Lunca. I really enjoyed this read. While I liked Dax’s story in Book 1 (Secret Baby for the Dragon), I really thought that Oryn and Adley’s story pulled me into the action. From the start, I felt more like a spectator than a reader. These characters took on a life of their own, freely sharing emotions that made my heart thump, my palms sweat and my heart melt. A fun read that resolves, but keeps you moving forward in the family drama. Sweet, sexy and heart warming.

Cursed before birth by an evil witch Oryn doesnt relish the day he might meet his mate or so he thinks. Adley has run from a horrible experience trying to live her life but everything changes when she meets the powerful CEO. Danger comes at them from the past and threatens everything Oryn hold dear.

Firstly, I really absolutely love how the story is in a 3rd person point of view rather than reading 1st person all the time. Second, I love how the author describes Oryn’s dragon form because you can see just how majestic his dragon form is although he may be acting like a lone wolf at the beginning, his heart opens up when he meets his mate. I won’t contain any spoilers, but this billionaire is quite a strong character as both a boss and a lover. I really love the connection between the two mates!! If you haven’t read the book, you need to read it!

Oryn, one of the dragon princes, doesn’t realize that with love sometimes there are sacrifices that will have to be made. He finds his true mate but he might lose her before he even really has her. Great love story.

Great fast read. Well written with a good storyline and great characters. Amazing word building that had me turning pages. This book is about Ory and Adley’s story. Adley is human and Ory a dragon prince. They are mates but, can she accept him for what he is?

The author has given us characters that we can become attached to. The four Dragon Princes were cursed by an evil witch before they were born. Hopefully the curse can be broken.
