But will it be enough?
Born To Protect is the first book in USA Today best selling author Christina Tetreault’s Elite Force Security series. While it can easily be read as a standalone story, you’ll likely enjoy reading the other books, too.

A very quick read and entertaining.
Always an enjoyable read.
Love all this authors books and this series!
Great start to a new series. Can not wait for more….
This book has everything you could ask for in a story. First there are Strong good looking men who have an elite protection agency. That came in handy in all the evil plans going on to kidnap an innocent person to gain knowledge of some stolen lab research. Then some romance thrown in was just the icing on the cake! Loved this book!
Thoroughly enjoyed all the characters. Kept you guessing.
4.5 stars. Fast read and interesting characters.
Becca and Connor
Really enjoyed reading this book. Lots happening with outstanding characters that you wish had your back. Becca and Connor make a great couple and I appreciate that their story was not rushed. Lots of twists and turns that will keep you guessing.
This is the first novel by Christina Tetreault I have read and I am now sure it won’t be the last. In fact I have already queued the next book in the series on my Kindle so I can start it as soon as I finish the review. I have always liked reading romances that figure hunky sexy security guys as the main character. Ms. Tetreault has a way with creating believable characters and Connor Anderson ,the hero of Born to Protect, I can imagine what it would be like to have him guarding my life! YUM! While I would have preferred a little more details in the sex scenes I appreciated that sex and romance did not overwhelm the plot line. The suspense kept me interested enough to refuse to stop reading until the book was finished. Housework can wait while your trying to figure out who the bad guy is. Yet finding your true love and living happily ever after is just what a woman wants in a romance novel. Christine Tetreault has just the right amount of sexy romance we all love in a good romance book. I highly recommend this book to all my romance loving friends!
BORN TO PROTECT, book one of the Elite Force Security series, by Christina Tetreault is a romantic suspense of reunited love.
Becca Andre works for a DC senator and meets up with her old high school boyfriend, Conner Anderson, a member of Elite Force Security.
When Becca’s stepsister steals secrets from a laboratory where she works and goes into hiding, the people she was working with come after Becca, hoping to use her to find out where the stepsister is hiding.
I enjoyed the characters and the budding romance, but I found the suspense a very slow build with more romance than suspense. For me, the suspense didn’t really hit until about a 100 pages in. For the next 75 pages, I had to keep reading to find out what happened next. I also felt like the story was less suspenseful because the reader knows what the villain is planning. It took away the surprise element for me. I also felt the end was anticlimactic and was wrapped up too quickly. I would have liked to have seen a scene with her stepsister and some resolution there.
BORN TO PROTECT was an enjoyable read and would have been fine as a contemporary romance, but as a romantic suspense it missed a few key points for me.
Christina has a way of writing that just keeps me reading. Enjoy all her books!
I enjoyed this book, not my favorite by this author but still a good read.
I enjoyed reading this story. A clean storyline with just enough suspense to keep me reading.
Tetreault’s book keeps you reading and guessing what’s happening next
Good love story filled with action as well as some intrigue.
I loved it from the first page to the last. Action, sexier than I have read for a while. Characters you feel could step out of the book and be a real life person. Knowledge and detail.
loved it!
Filled with intrigue and great characters that move the story along.
I’ve loved all of the Sullivan books that I’ve read and this one doesn’t disappoint. She has a way of drawing you in to the story so much that you feel the emotions with the characters
Definitely one to add to your reading collection.
