Never read a JD Robb that I didn’t LOVE. Her In Death series if my favorite. Love Dallas, Roark and all their friends! Never know what’s going to happen. A little romance, a lot of suspense, a page turner, in other words, all of it.
I don’t think Nora Robers can write a bad book. The characters are funny in places and the connection between Roark and Eve is wonderful.
Dallas’s love of her best friend Mavis leads her and Roark into a world or horrors, child birth! As much of a nightmare as the whole idea is, including shopping and a baby shower, it doesn’t compare to the slime that they discover as they turn over rocks to find Mavis’s missing and very pregnant friend. The whole gang gets involved and that is one of the best things about the series; Dallas working with Roark and her team.
I love all the JD Robb( Eve Dallas series. I added this one to my old nook collection to re-read. I was not disappointed
I read the first 27 “In Death” books in that series practically non stop. Read just one and you’ll understand why I read all of them.
This book is the usual excellence from JD Robb.
The Eve Dallas series is one of my favorites. I really look forward to new releases.
I enjoy a strong female lead character and Eve is one of the best. I also love that this is set in the future so there are some sci-fi aspects to this series.
It was a really good story line. I love how it’s in the future but not so far out there as to be unbelievable. I love how she mixes different characters in relationships that would not normally seem to work, but work out great. I have read everyone of her books in the series and have not been disappointed a single time.
I am a huge fan of the In Death series. I’ve re-read the series several times and it always keeps me entertained.
I recommend all the JD Robb’s In Death books for the mystery & also for the back stories & love story of Eve & Rouke.
love all J D Robb books
JD Robb!! What’s not to like? Story always has something for every body!
Murder? You got it!
Lt. Eve Dallas? You got it! And let’s not forget her Detective sidekick Peabody! Not that hunk of a civilian consultant Irishman Roarke? Well damn!! There you go!!
Eve is.like that proverbial dog with a bone..once she’s on to your trail- bend over baby cause she’s gonna kick your butt right to jail and throw away the key!
There’s always something for everyone’s reading pleasure. Humor, jealousy, madness, anger, laughter, judgement and justice, love, hate -all of it!! Once you’re a fan, you’ll always be a fan!!
Enjoy the story! (I find it difficult to review a JD Robb,or a Nora Roberts without giving it away! ) that’s why the “testimonial” !!–
Eve and Roarke at the childbirth class were so hysterical!
JD Robb is always a wonderful writer. This book is no exception. Mavis has talked Eve and Roarke into being her coaches as her baby’s birth approaches. But one of Mavis’s friends is missing and she talks Eve into finding out what has happened to her. As Eve and Roarke search for her, they come to discover a number of unsolved murders that may make their search imperative.
Another great read from J.D. Robb!
You can’t go wrong with J.D. Robb. Born in Death is another outstandingly original book in this series. I couldn’t put it down and always look forward to the next book in this series.
I’ve read this book a couple of times. I love the characters & their relationships. Especially loved Eve’s & Roarke’s reactions to Mavis’ labor & delivery. I wonder if Robb is ever going to have Eve get pregnant.
I love everything JD Robb writes!!
I loved it. The humor in this one was an under current of Eve’s reactions to the phrasing and the upcoming birth of Mavis child. The friend who disappears is a heartrending crime. I was on the edge of my seat. If you love the death series, this earlier published book will keep your attention.
the “Death” series of Nora Roberts is always entertaining and I will always read them.
