When the devastatingly gorgeous Nick Hart seeks me out after five long years, I had hoped he’d begin our conversation with an over-due apology, not an invitation to his bed.Apparently, nothing had changed about the arrogant athlete from high school—not his sculpted body, chocolate eyes, or his dream of making the professional football league. But raw talent and endless ambition only got him so … and endless ambition only got him so far. The one thing the unconquerable Nick Hart doesn’t have?
Me.
As the team nutritionist for the Ironfield Rivets, I’m the one shoving tofu up picky players’ end zones and serving quinoa to pouting punters. So, when Nick asks me to risk my job and sneak him into a private team try-out, I should say no.
But I need a favor of my own…
With my matchmaking mother rampaging through the city, searching jail cells and corner bars for a man desperate enough to date her voluntarily-single daughter, the only way I can focus on my career is to convince her that I’ve found the man of my dreams…who then breaks my heart. Nick’s perfect for the task—after all, he’s done it before.
But I won’t let him do it again.
No matter how close we get on the field.
No matter how much he wants to score.
No matter how deep he goes…
I’m not looking for a Happily-Ever-After, but when Nick reveals the truth about our Once-Upon-A-Time, can I forgive the past for a chance at a real fairy-tale?

I have to admit this is Sosies best book by far. Once I started I wouldnt put the book down(just when my baby cried).
**SPOILERS**
This book was about two friends who secretly loved each other in high school. Nick was trying to make it in football and wouldnt stop at anything including hurting Charisma to get what he wants. He ends up humiliating her by saying he slept with her when he didnt. Fast fred years and Nick comes looking for Charisma because he needs a favor and so does Charisma. So they decide to help each other and end up falling in love. Nick is still more focused on football so he breaks her heart again. In the end they find each other. I love how this book has so much detail, every scene is like your there because it gives the smallest details. Well written Sosie!

I’ve read other books by Sosie Frost and I enjoy her style of writing and how she weaves real issues into her stories along with major chemistry between the leading characters. In this story you’ve got down-on-his-luck Nick with one last chance to make his dreams come true and prove himself…finally. The person standing in his way is Charisma, the girl he knew in HS, who HAD been his friend, until he let bullies on the football team push him to ruin her reputation and their friendship. A lot has changed for her since then, a lot for the better, but she still can’t let go of her hatred for the man who ruined everything. Throw in an over-the-top mother who is trying to fix her up with anyone and everyone, and a whacky group of relatives and things get really crazy. Nick and Charisma each have something to prove, and secrets they’re trying to hide. Bunt until the truth is revealed, will either of them really be able to move forward? Love the chemistry between these two as well as all the struggles and challenges they have faced and overcome…
First the negatives sometime this book made me cringe it was just a little to obsessed with people carrying weight but overall it was a well written book that had plenty of laugh out loud moments enough to counteract the cringe moments .
Nick was all alpha and a bit of a douche but he did grow on me While Charisma is still in her head about the weight she carried when she was younger While the banter was fun it went on for a little too long
Booty and the Beast by Sosie Frost is a winner! I lost count of the number of times that I laughed out loud. This book is part of the Touchdowns & Tiaras series (that I highly recommend) but it is not necessary to read the other books to understand Booty and the Beast. I did receive a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It is an amazing book and can be found as part of the Kindle Unlimited Library. No spoilers!
Welcome back to the Ironfield Rivets (with special guest appearances from some old friends). Nick is determined to make the team and needs to reconnect with a former childhood friend. Charisma is the former friend that has nothing but bad memories surrounding Nick. In a moment of desperation, Charisma offers to help Nick, and this is where the magic begins. The banter between these two characters was so funny!
Don’t miss out on this comedic, chemistry heavy, swoon-worthy romance!
In all honesty I did enjoy this book and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is purely down to the fact I found some bits of it a little repetitive. I did enjoy the story and the characters but I found it slow to read at times. I wasnt desperate to know what happened next but I did enjoy the story alot.

Sosie is pretty good at writing rom-coms and this one was really funny. I liked the characters and the story but the title threw me off. I thought it was going to be a playoff of beauty and the beast but definitely not. Still a cute read.

This is Nick and Charisma’s story, and this is an engaging read with crazy and outrageous family shenanigans. This is a well written story which is humorous, fun, entertaining, and an all round must read romantic comedy. I was hooked and intrigued throughout, and I highly recommend for all readers.
Another witty and well-written novel by this author. Charisma and Nick were high school besties until he abandoned their friendship to maintain his jock image, while making fun of her weight.
Fast forward 6 years, Charisma is now the nutritionist for the Ironfield Rivets, a team Nick is desperate to try out for, after failing to get signed by all the major and minor leagues. Nick is on his last leg, and though he is tenacious, would Charisma forgive him and help him realize his football dream? Read about this couple’s wild ride as they reconcile past hurts, betrayals, and love/hate feelings for each other. At this stage of the game, it’s all or nothing!

It has been so long since I’ve read and Ironfield Rivets book! I have missed these guys! And the best thing about these books is you get right back into this world right from the beginning. Jack, Lachlan, Jude and Cole! And you get to meet Nick. He is not like any Rivet you have read before. This boy is determined and will do anything to become a starter. Even Charisma a person in his past he truly wronged. But she doesn’t make it easy. They are both cut from the same cloth so this book is epically Addictive, incredible, and utterly Amazing.

Nick Hart has done Charisma Cassidy wrong in the past. She now has something he needs and she gets it for him. This is a laugh-out-loud (and some tears) story as all her Ironfield Rivets stories are. The message had meaning for me-a stress eater. It was great to see Jack Carson, Lachlan, Jude, and the rest of the Rivets. May Sosie keep them coming!

Here comes a new addition to the Iron fieldRivets!
I have to say Nick and Charismas love to hate war of words and innuendos was quite the dizzying tale!
The lengths they’re willing to go to push one another is ambitious!
Forgiveness is not always easy to obtain, while the other side cannot decide whether to give in or doll out more pain. So watching the ups and downs between them was a frustratingly diabolical, heady, trainwreck of hilarious feels that kept me thoroughly engaged, turning those pages needing to know what insanity comes next!
I usually am not a big fan of the female protagonists but, this time around, it took me a LOOOOOONNNNGGGG time to warm up to Nicks brand of hero. Once he broke down his carnivore self and ate as the cows do, I felt there was hope for him after all!
A hate you/I love you tale for the ages, with plenty of picturesque humor, football fantasy, and sexified romance to quell the thirstest of people.
Well worth the read!
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.

3 1/2 Stars
This sweet sports romance was a bit of a frustrating read with Nick showing himself as a real tool, unworthy of Charisma’s love and loyalty.
Their second chance meeting at the juice bar had my eyes getting wider and wider as he stuck his foot deeper and deeper until I thought, what a jerk!
He finally admitted his deep love for Charisma only to use that as the reason for rejecting her. I thought that was a boneheaded move since he had pulled her into his life again after she had moved on
I did like the way Charisma used his initial rejection as a catalyst to reinvent herself. Her love and willingness to take a chance on their relationship was the saving grace for this romance.

This book is like a delicious torture. You just want to bang Nick and Charisma’s heads together. Their teasing was hilarious, the family was … large and the journey was a lesson to both of them.

I enjoyed the story between Charisma and Nick. It’s a mix of overly cocky Nick, former high school bully, enemy to lovers, second chance and throw in Charisma and her overly obnoxious family. There’s definitely a growth and lessons learned between the two. I liked that message, how things played out to strengthen them individually. A book that should be added to your TBR.
I am a huge Sosie Frost fan and I have read all of the Ironfield Rivets books. Each Rivet player is special in his own way. I have been waiting for another Rivets novel for ages. The love story of Charisma and Nick began way before they meet up in the juice bar in Ironfield. We get a glimpse, early on, the type of person Nick was prior to wanting to be a Rivet. He is not likeable. He is every high school nerd, fat girl, underdog nightmare. He was also every girls dream; a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks that was a beast on the football field. Eight years after the bright lights of high school football have dimmed, Nick seeks out Charisma for a favor that sets hearts, feet and perfectly sculpted abs in motion. This story also includes cast members from the previous Ironfield Rivets series. Although this story is funny and hits you in the heart strings, the overall dialogue and plot reminded me of the dialogue and plots of the previous novels in the series. At first the quick witty, slightly sexy banter is interesting, however it quickly becomes page filler. I wanted them to stop it and get to the point in some spots. I liked the realistic characters of Nick and Charisma and loved how people continuously were giving them unwanted advice on their relationship. Since I already know how the story is going to end, I like the cream in the middle to be filling. The cream in the middle of this story left me wanting more from the main characters in the story.

Charisma and Nick are seeking redemption for high school misunderstandings. They were friends in high school but Nick was influenced to play a devastating prank on Charisma, a fat girl, which shattered her. Charisma turned the experience into a positive re making her image and body into perfection. However, she has an empty life dedicated to her work on the Rivets football team. Nick blows his knee out in a bad car accident and his life is a constant struggle to over come his injury and a dysfunctional family background. Both Charisma and Nick have forgotten love in their quest for redemption. Charisma had an over the top extended family which makes for hilarious scenes. Nick and Charisma have an immediate strong attraction that makes for a war of wills becoming each biggest supporters. Both give into their desire and realize only by admitting their love to one another can they completely heal from their past and move on to a future together. It is a story of emotional growth of two characters and showcases the misdeeds of humanity we all have experienced.

The complexity of perception is what this book is more less about. Charisma has changed her life almost 400° in order to make sure that her perception is equivalent to those around her. She has developed a lot of stuff with her issues from high school. Enters her kind of nemesis, Nick. The dialogue between these two throughout the whole book is funny and witty and punchliney. It’s about resisting the the jerk who made your life miserable as he still keeps licking his foot in his mouth when he is oblivious that things change and never the same. Like Cpharisma, Nick has dreams that he wants to have for filled but is definitely sidetracked when he meets Charisma. So this banter is a nice change to some of the books that I’ve read. There is an ending to this and that’s a good read.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I really enjoyed this story. Nick and Charisma were such a great couple. They have such great chemistry even though they had a past that wasn’t so good. They have a lot of back and forth because of the past that they share. Will they be able to overcome their past and work on the present and future to get the HEA that they deserve? Wonderful story and wonderful characters and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
