When the devastatingly gorgeous Nick Hart seeks me out after five long years, I had hoped he’d begin our conversation with an over-due apology, not an invitation to his bed.Apparently, nothing had changed about the arrogant athlete from high school—not his sculpted body, chocolate eyes, or his dream of making the professional football league. But raw talent and endless ambition only got him so … and endless ambition only got him so far. The one thing the unconquerable Nick Hart doesn’t have?
Me.
As the team nutritionist for the Ironfield Rivets, I’m the one shoving tofu up picky players’ end zones and serving quinoa to pouting punters. So, when Nick asks me to risk my job and sneak him into a private team try-out, I should say no.
But I need a favor of my own…
With my matchmaking mother rampaging through the city, searching jail cells and corner bars for a man desperate enough to date her voluntarily-single daughter, the only way I can focus on my career is to convince her that I’ve found the man of my dreams…who then breaks my heart. Nick’s perfect for the task—after all, he’s done it before.
But I won’t let him do it again.
No matter how close we get on the field.
No matter how much he wants to score.
No matter how deep he goes…
I’m not looking for a Happily-Ever-After, but when Nick reveals the truth about our Once-Upon-A-Time, can I forgive the past for a chance at a real fairy-tale?

Cute story about second chances between an aspiring football player and the team’s nutritionist. We re-visit The Rivets and get to see characters from The Touchdown and Tiaras series. Humor and banter between the two main characters is great and we get to learn about their backstory. Hopefully, there will be future stories about other members of the team!

Love the series. Was excited to read this book. Although it was a good read the banter was to much. Charisma was annoying at times and Nick was obnoxious. Both have past issues they are trying to overcome.
Just okay,- The story is about Charisma and Nick. Charisma is a nutritionist for a pro football team but she was a big girl in her teens. High school was not a happy time in her life, and it was made worse by Nick, a superstar who broke her trust the same day he broke her heart. It is now 6 years later, and Nick’s best years are behind him, but he’s still fighting tooth and nail for his dream of becoming a pro football player. He wants Charisma’s help in obtaining that goal. Charisma is torn between being hurt and repulsed by Nick on the one hand and taken by him and wanting to help him on the other.

I am a huge fan of Sosie Frost and I was delighted that this book was part of the Ironfiels Rivets series. I’m not a big football fan, but I love these flawed team members and the women who love them. In this installment we have Nick and Charisma.
The banter between these two is epic. They have a rocky past that they have to work through. The plot of this story was quite interesting. At the beginning Nick is an egotistically unlikable jerk! Charisma is sassy, smart, independent, strong, and beautiful. With their trials and triumphs, unwanted relationship advice, explosive chemistry, and love/hate relationship makes this book all the more worth reading.
I really like reading Sosie’s books and this one was no different. This is an enemies to lovers, former bully, and somewhat second chance all rolled into one. Nick was an a** in high school and still acts like a jerk. The banter that goes between them is good and had me laughing at times. It’s true that there is a fine line between love and hate. These two have stuff they needed to work out and did. Another good read.
The story is believable. I dived into the story but struggled with it at times. Nick was adorable for me. Overall a good book for me. Give it a go

Sosie Frost never disappoints. She kept me entertained with laughs…so many laughs and steamy times and that hit of emotion. I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Nick and Charisma are two people that have a bit of high school baggage . They are now adults and may have crossed paths for a reason.
Charisma has a fabulous job as a nutritionist. She is good at it and she practices what she preaches. Although she has a family that does more than it’s share of meddling. I truly fell in love with her passion and her beautiful personality. Nick…. oh boy all he has is football and he needs a shot but he able to make amends for the past and call in a favor from Charisma. Can the once upon a time player make a amends ? I loved how each of them were hesitant to commit they do not want a relationship and when they find a common ground they each begin to thrive . Will their past eventually pull them apart or will love prevail!

Charisma needs Nick’s help as he does hers. She can give him an in to try out for the football team he works for and he can pretend to be her boyfriend for mommy’s sake. These two have bad history from high school, and Charisma will have to deal with hurt feelings. The author has done a good job with this story line.

Here we meet up with the one time school friends, Charisma & Nick whom haven’t seen each other since before they graduated from high school & Nick now would love to get a try out for the team’s nutritionist & its when he sees ‘the new’ Charisma that he can see how she would be in that position after the way she was 6 yrs prior when he last saw her.
He wants her help & she only agrees as she needs his help and its because of that reason she helps him & it’s during this time scale that we see how they really feel about each other & why he acted the way he did during the end of the school.
Come in & see how things turn out between the 2 of them???
4 Stars for Sosie Frost’s signature bwwm sports, enemies to romance novel. Although the title implies a connection to the classic story of The Beauty and the Beast, there was only vague reminders of the former. This does not take away from the story line which unfolds with flashbacks to the past. I loved the hero Nick, who is the quintessential alpha male, who survives on pure determination and grit but also with a side of vulnerability. I also loved the heroine Charisma who did not fold under the duress of bullying from her best friend. She instead rose up in lieu of the adverse environment and fought to be the best of the best. As much as I enjoy a good banter, I felt sometimes it took away from the chemistry that was building between Nick and Charisma. Ultimately, the heart wants what the heart wants and the love triumphed in the end. I could not help wanting a little more heat along with the laugh track. Booty and the Beast is still a worthy investment of your time and money!

This is a great romantic comedy read and I really liked the characters. Buy it now, and settle in you will not be disappointed. I couldn’t put it down until I finished.
I disliked this book and could not finish it.
Nick Hart is used to having it all in football and with women. He left Charisma behind after breaking her heart. Now he is back asking her for a favor to get an in with the team tryouts. Charisma needs help with fending off her matchmaking mother and Nick could be the perfect fake boyfriend for the job. Nick has never told Charisma why he left her in the past. Can these two overcome their turbulent past to have a future?

This book had me laughing at Charisma;s family, mother and the team players that will do any thing to avoid the nutritionist at all cost!!!!
A type of second chance at friendship rather than romance as the two main characters were never romantically involved in high school…that turns into a turbulent romance that will have you gasping at the lengths the two will go to to destroy their relationship and deny that they need or love each even though their hearts are breaking and crying out for each other….
Nick was meant to be Charismas best friend in high school but he betrayed and bullied her until she was so humiliated that she decided that she needed a huge life change after finishing high school…Now Nick is back and wants her to help him get on the team…. he has never asked anyone for help and now the woman that he hurt in the past has the power to make or break him…..

I absolutely love Sosie’s writing. When I open a book from her I know what I am going to get. A book that I will love. This one was no different. Absolutely loved the writing and the characters. Loved every word!

Nick and Charisma’s story is filled with witty one-liners and sarcastic comebacks. I loved their banter! I believe Sosie showed their familiarity and easiness of being back in each other’s presence. And it was nice to read a HEA they didn’t feed into unnecessary drama, just relatable experiences they could lead to overthinking. I’m not sure if this concludes the series or if there will be another installment. But I’ll continue to look forward to more from Ironfield or Sosie in general.

Nick and Charisma keep you on a roller coaster with their banter. They have an ugly past from high school. Has he changed at all? Charisma has a lot but she has some deep seated issues that will come to light. Will they work through the past? I love this authors books. Fun and sexy read!

Another Sosie Frost Touchdown!
Charisma has done everything that she can to get away from her past. She’s lost over 100 pounds and tried to forget the boy that made her high school years a nightmare. Until she finds out that the very same boy is looking for her. Add to that a mother that is turning over every rock to find her a husband. And things are about to get interesting.
Nick is running out of options. Football is all he knows and he’s traveled all over the country and Canada fighting for a chance to play professionally. No one will even look at him much less give him a chance. When he finds out Charisma is the team nutritionist for the only team he hasn’t tried, he goes looking for her. Unfortunately (?) she’s changed so much that he doesn’t recognize her and tries to pick her up while telling her about the fat girl he’s looking for. Things aren’t looking good for him, or are they?
