A protective cowboy meets a jilted bride.
Atticus
This trip was the last thing I wanted for my fortieth birthday. And flying to the beach in a tin-can airplane ain’t my idea of a good time.At least it wasn’t before Lark walked in.She’s the most beautiful mess I’ve ever seen—sweet, kind, curvy, and… and…
on her honeymoon.
All alone
Lark claims she’s going to Pole Island to “figure out her flaws.”
Doesn’t take me long to realize this woman doesn’t have any,
Still, I should kiss her gorgeous face goodbye the minute we land.
But I just can’t seem to let her go.
Lark
Six months ago, my fiancé went out to grab a pizza and never came home.
All I got out of that relationship was a breakup note, a non-refundable honeymoon, and the realization that he was right… We didn’t belong together.
I’m going to Pole Island to puzzle out how I almost married a man I didn’t love.
Self-examination is a painful, lonely business.
At least the cowboy on the plane makes it bearable.
Atticus is the strongest, hunkiest, most protective man I’ve ever met.
He’s also the most uptight.
He needs this vacation desperately.
He doesn’t need my emotional mess.
I should just kiss his handsome lips goodbye the second we land.
Instead, I think I might show him the time of his life… As long as we both promise not to fall in love.
Short enough to read in one sitting and long enough to satisfy, this trope-tastic, over-the-top little dual POV, standalone micro-romance is sweet, steamy, and full of old-fashioned cowboy nobility and goodness. ♥The love is insta, and the ending is HEA guaranteed.♥

This by far was my favorite Insta Love Island Book. Yes the love was instant by I felt the love grow between Lark and Atticus. I liked Atticus’s protective side but yet he knew when to step back and let Lark do what she needed. I liked Lark and how she knew she needed to work on herself, a lot of people don’t admit this. I found Lark and Atticus complemented each other and found them fun. This is a fast, fun read. I read on Kindle Unlimited.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
Loved Atticus and Lark
Atticus, an Oklahoma rancher, is on his first flight, heading to Pole Island , a forced vacation in the guise of a 40th birthday present from his sister.
24 year old Lark is on her honeymoon, alone, her fiance left her 3 months ago. Her honeymoon was non refundable or transferable.
Atticus and Lark are seated together and have a strong attraction. A kiss and a cab ride, bring them to Lark’s decision the Purple Hibiscus Resort. Off the main strip, and run down and Lark couldn’t be happier. Though Atticus has reservation else where leaving Lark alone at a sketchy resort is just not going to happen.
The married couple owners are warm and inviting. The Resort has a homey vibe. Lark doesn’t trust her judgement in love, and is falling for Atticus. Atticus adores Lark but worries he is to old for her.
Ada May and Squiddy, the Purple Hibiscus owners help them see they belong together.
A sweet and steamy older man younger women romance. Part of Daisy’s Real Good Men of Oklahoma series. Reads as a stand alone. Loved Ada May and Squiddy, a sweet peak at an older woman younger man couple. A great epilogue to wrap up their story. A link to a bonus epilogue.
I’ve read this story over and over, it was so good!
This story had so many things that create a great story, a cowboy, jilted bride, age gap, new friends to lovers, insta-love and so much more. This is one of those stories where I wanted to jump in and be the female lead. A short story but so full of content and don’t forget to sign up for Daisy’s newsletter to get the extra epilogue. So good!!
I liked the way Atticus and Lark meet on the plane. I also liked how sweet Atticus with Lark from the beginning. I also loved how they ended up in the same hotel and spending their time together. They were really sweet together and I loved their story.
I received an ARC and am leaving my honest and voluntary review.
Older man, younger woman – immediate attraction. They happen to be seat mates on an airplane and things develop from there. Ms. Gold has captured that moment of first attraction perfectly, and built the story from there. This book is one in a series which consists of books by different authors. I am hoping to read them all.

This insta-love story was a very enjoyable and entertaining read from the very beginning! I absolutely adored Atticus and Lark, their banter and attraction between these two kept me turning the pages until the very last page!
We get to exposure the unheard of side of Pole Island in this story and I loved it! Atticus and Lark meet on the airplane and not only do sparks fly but I couldn’t stop laughing. Between their internal monologues and thoughts and their banter, I had a big smile on my face. This is sweet, short and with the right amount heat.
It’s magic! You never know who you’ll meet when going on vacation. But Lark wasn’t looking for anything but to be or do nothing. Just wanted to reassess her failed relationships. So she tries to brush off the attentions of Atticus, one hunk of a cowboy. Circumstances are such that they are more or less in close quarters. There is some fun under the sun along with making new friends. Reading this book will get you entrenched in the lives of people at the Purple Hibiscus.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author in exchange for my volunteer review.
I love these multi author series as I get to meet new authors but in this case Daisy is a go to for me and I wasn’t disappointed at all
Atticus hates to fly and he isn’t happy to be on a tiny plane waiting to take off but delayed due to a late passenger a passenger that just happens to be sitting next to him He is heading to the island as his sister has given him the trip as a 40th birthday present When his seat mate arrives she is hung over wearing a tiara Lark doesn’t want to be there either this is supposed to be her honeymoon but she is all alone seeing she couldn’t get a refund on her trip when her fiancee ditched her. After she falls asleep and wakes up draped all over Atticus they strike up a friendship and decide to spend time together while on the island The only thing is they soon develop feelings for one another but what will happen when the trip ends You will have to read to see
Such a wonderful story!! This is the first book by Daisy Gold that I’ve read, and I am hooked! This is a sweet, sweet story – lighthearted but full of warm moments. Atticus (love it!) and Lark are meant to be, and from the moment they meet on the plane to Pole Island, they connect like they have with no one else. Each is so loving with the other, though they don’t give in to their feelings right away. I loved this story, and I’ll be reading it again soon!

Atticus hates flying and when the late passenger arrives she is seated next to him.
Atticus James is on a tin can plane for the trip his sister has given him for his fortieth birthday and is not happy. A late passenger arrives and staggers towards the seat next to him. The unhappy Lark had woken on the floor and had barely made it to catch her plane for the non-refundable honeymoon she is going on by herself. When Atticus the man next to her asks about the naughty tiara her friend had made for her she realizes she is still wearing it. She then takes off the false eyelashes and cleans off all the make up. She goes to sleep and wakes up leaning on the man next to her but she feels comforted by his muscular arm. The two reluctant and not happy to be there people find themselves keeping each other company.

Short story with hilarious characters and fun storyline, love the meet cute on an airplane. Wonderful protective nature from the hero looking out for the heroine on her own. The supporting characters add so much color to the romance with their personalities and sound advice. Lovely ending to finding love on the island.

Insta-love on a beach that you can read in less than two hours. A cowboy from Oklahoma turning forty being sent to Pole Island on vacation by his sister mets up with a young woman in her mid-twenties, that her fiancee left three months before the wedding. She was on the honeymoon that was nonrefundable trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Atticus was so taken by Lark that he could not leave her alone at her hotel, so he stayed with her instead of going to his. The week had numerous adventurers and lots of intriguing help from the hotel owners. You are guaranteed to have a smile on your face when you finish.

Sparks fly the instant Atticus and Lark meet while he’s vacationing(a gift) and she’s on a honeymoon for one. The author does a great job bringing laughter and steam and gives them a great connection. It’s an entertaining read,is well written and moves quickly and smoothly. I loved and would recommend this book.

Atticus and Lark were great together. Lark is trying to “fix” what is “wrong” with her while Atticus is on a forced vacation that his sister sent him on for his birthday. I loved their connection. These two tried fighting what felt right because Lark was not ready yet but Atticus was patient with her and showed her that she was perfect just the way she was. I would recommend this book for you are looking for a great insta-love book with a great chemistry and humor.

Atticus aka Attie is a Cowboy through and through. The only missing item is his hat. Being made to take a forced birthday vacation he meets a curvy woman. When he meets Lark, her mission is to have him loosen up. So on the beach he is tanned to perfection all the way to his torso. And his “beach shorts” are cactus with “legs white as the risen moon”. Atticus is determine to keep Lark safe while she is on her honeymoon. A instalove love story work teh sand in your shoes. No cliffhanger

Lark, 24, was now going to a Caribbean island because the honeymoon her ex- fiancé booked was not refundable and she wanted to spend that time reflecting on her life choices. Atticus was a rancher heading for a Caribbean vacation that his sister booked him for his 40th birthday because she knew he needed to relax. They met on the plane heading their and became friendly. They shared a cab to her resort but Atticus would not let her stay in the rather run down place on her own. The quirky couple that owned the hotel told them that was the only room available so slept on a cot in the room. They ended up spending their days together and had a lot of fun but Lark outdo not trust her growing feelings for Atticus because of her past. Would Lark learn to trust her feelings fo Atticus? Would they find true love and happiness?
I enjoyed this fun instalove story and see the couple earn to love and trust.
