Wish I could give this a 1000+ stars but since it doesn’t exist I will give it 5 star rating
This is a short novella story for the Sweeney sisters but it’s not without it’s many problems and full of drama all Sam wants to do is marry her man on Christmas Eve…is it too much to ask?
This short brief story ends with a cliff hanger which I saw coming but it was still a shock.
Trust me you won’t regret picking up this series
Highly recommend
Another hit for Ashley Farley and the Sweeney Sisters series. Book #3 built upon the characters we have met in Her Sister’s Shoes and then Lowcountry Stranger. The sisters, Samantha (Sam), a single mother raising a son Jamie, Jackie, married, mother of a set of twin boys Cooper and Sean, finding herself and her marriage, and Faith, in an abusive relationship in book 1, raising a daughter Bitsy, and then add in their mother Lovie, romantic interests for Faith and Sam and you have the makings of a great series. The second book introduced Annie, who is still around in the third book. The third book introduces Sophia, a love interest for Jamie. This book does not disappoint. The author intertwined twists and turns that will leave you guessing until the very last page. With this book, the focus is on Sam and Eli. She finally accepts his proposal and decides to get married on Christmas Eve, about a month away. She needs to find a church with an opening on Christmas Eve, a place to hold the reception, and someone to coordinate everything else. This is also a very busy time for the family business, Captain Sweeney’s Seafood Market. Add in the purchase of a new house, the sale of an existing house, and you have bedlam to say the least. But the Sweeney sisters stick together through all the chaos. You will just have to read the book and see how everything turns out.
With the ending of this book, and a cliffhanger that I did not expect, I cannot wait for book 4, due out early next year.

My Review:
Boots and Bedlam was a quick, entertaining, and eventful read. I just adore this series and the Sweeney sisters. I don’t think I will ever tire of them. Despite the months and many books I read in between installments, Ms. Farley’s characters are so memorable – I am able to immediately up where the last book left off without struggle or difficulty. I continue to be intrigued by the Sweeney extended family dynamic and how they somehow make it work. I enjoy Ms. Farley’s sense of humor, clever observations, and insightful narrative. She sneakily weaves her magic in the storyline without me even noticing where she is going. I will be eagerly awaiting the next book in this addictive series.
