This was a quick read that had some really steamy scenes. It was enjoyable because of the fantasy aspect of having one of your own D/s relationships.. This was a well written book and it was very enjoyable. It gives you a different look in a relationship.

If you’ve read any of the other books by Kat Carrington you will be familiar with GG and the town of Boone. Well, this is GG’s story. Set in the time of social upheaval in America, when the ‘younger generation’ were heading to protest marches and rebelling, GG, while still in high school, meets Leo. I really enjoyed this story and getting to know a different GG even though she annoyed me at times but understanding that we look back with hindsight helped to temper my annoyance. I did feel that Leo was the perfect for her, and together this made for a very satisfying story.
Book four in the A Strong Man’s Hand series a well written story that kept me turning pages. This is G.G. Devereaux and Leo Beauchamp telling how they met the friends and family they had around them and how they decide on the rules for their marriage. And it shows us Shelby Beauchamp Davis the Granddaughter hearing of their life together. I recommend this sweet, clean story. This is the story of how G.G. Devereaux and Leo Beauchamp became to be grandparents to Shelby who was getting ready to have her own child. Shelby wanted her grandma to tell her story so she could record and have it in her words. G.G. Devereaux lived in Boone, Indiana and was Margot and
Don Devereaux’s only daughter and youngest child. She had twin brothers, Bryce and Carl, who were seniors in high school. She and her best friend Sharon Calder were sophomores and had turned 16 and G.G. always talked about seeing the world and the place she wanted to go was California. G.G. meets Leo at a protest new Indiana University where they had sneaked off to, to have a sense of adventure and experience the world, to live as they thought. Leo happens to be at the protest because he was going to school at IU and happened to see them being dragged into the crowd and he was trying to save them from getting caught up in the rowdy part of the protest. He pulls them out and helps them find their car. He tells them his name and he has made an impression on G.G. from then on. Read this story because it is a nice romantic story told by Shelby’s grandma G.G. Their was romance and drama and sometimes I couldn’t help but be sad but their were times that happy too. Recommend this story and this writer, Kat Carrington.

I love GG’s spunky character in this series and I was thrilled to get to know her as a teenager. Obviously, she’s more naive and less mature, but I loved that her personality is still the same in the younger version of herself. I loved her spirit and sense of adventure that really shone through in this book. Her caring nature and kindness towards others was heartwarming. Leo is a great character too and their love was so tangible, I felt sad to think that he wasn’t part of the books set in current day. I liked the other characters as well. The whole book was entertaining and I can’t wait for the next one to read more about GG’s life.
