Boomerangers [boo-muh-rang-ers] noun, informal: an adult that moves back home to live with a parent after a period of independence.SpencerI love sex. I love the power, the intimacy, the euphoria it brings. Too bad I’m not having any . . . You’d think as New Orleans’ most renowned sex therapist that I’d be swimming in single men. In a way, I am . . . except for the fact that one is in diapers and … is in diapers and the other two are drowning in preteen hormones. As a single mother of three, my days are devoted to my clients and my kids, and my nights are spent with Fabio, my trusty vibrator. When my world begins to unravel, I have no choice but to move back home. And when my high school sweetheart comes waltzing back into my life, comedy and chaos ensue.
What can I say? I never said I could pick ’em, but you can bet your ass I know how to fix ’em.
Cooper
As soon as the ink dried on my divorce papers, I made myself a solemn vow: I was done with relationships. Moving home to take over my father’s firm was the plan, until Spencer decided to return, along with three souvenirs from the life she’s lived without me.
I’ve been in love with the girl next door for nearly all of my life; the rest was spent trying to forget her. I’d give almost anything for a second chance with her, but I have no time for distractions—especially the kind that involve diapers, bottles, and eighteen-year commitments.
The problem is, she’s already got me by the balls . . . and I’m beginning to feel the noose tightening around my heart.
Intended for readers 18+

This book cracked me up
Spencer is a sex therapist without a sex life, who has to move back home with her three kids when she loses her job. Cooper is recently divorced (he left his wife because she wanted kids), & moves back home as well. They had a big romance in high school, until they left for college.
“You aren’t just using me for my sperm, are you Princess?”
“I’d rather pull my twat hairs out with tweezers than procreate with you.”
I found it strange how Cooper says he got divorced because he never wanted kids, but then is upset that Spencer had her own kids without him… So really, it’s not that he never wanted kids, but he wanted kids with her instead. This contradiction is also shown when he says he’s not interested in her kids, but then invites her & the kids on an outing…
She has three kids & their fathers don’t want them, so why should she want to get together with him, since he doesn’t want any kids? I’m not sure I buy his explanation of how he doesn’t want kids, yet wants her kids, in the end (despite how he said the complete opposite in the beginning)…
In any case, it’s quite funny how they keep getting caught doing the deed anywhere except, of course, the bedroom (although they do also get caught in the bedroom…).
<3 little Kyle, he’s hilarious!
I loved the characters and their story, but I’m not fond of the graphic language they used. I don’t know anyone who drops the “F” bomb in casual conversation, much less a southern Mama to her grown son. Wish the author didn’t feel the need to add this to the story.
Loved the humor, characters and family. One of the best books I’ve read in quite a while. Loved it.
Good story, held my interest and made me laugh!
This was a fun read! You will probably figure out the Happily Ever After from the get-go, but it is a great journey!
Easy light hearted funny witty good word flow and didn’t want it to end
Great read
Loved it!
The only negative thing about this book is the amount of swearing. Some was good for the humor but it was excessive.
This book was fun to read and lots of it made me laugh. You can’t help but fall in love with 2 year old Kyle.
Loved this story. It had a lot of humor especially the little two-year old boy who made me laugh out loud. Highly recommend this enjoyable read.
Too much bad language.
To much foul language.
The reason for the 3 stars is language. Not everyone talks like that. I thought about not finishing it but I was curious. Too much F- word. When the grandparents, the parents and the kids, even the two year old, are talking like that it’s a little much. Other than that this could have been a beautiful love story. Spencer and Cooper have loved each other since they were children. They grew up next door to each other. Then one day Cooper breaks up with her. Spencer ends up married to a jerk and has twins and they divorce and then she gets mixed up with another jerk and has Kyle. The fathers don’t care about their boys. Cooper ends up marrying a lady but divorces her cause she wants kids and he doesn’t really love her and the only one he was supposed to have kids with is Spencer. Fifteen years later. Cooper lives with his parents and is a partner in his dad’s law practice. Spencer is a sex therapist but the office is closing. Spencer ends up moving home with her mother and her and Cooper end up spending time together. A standalone with an HEA! Pretty good book if the language wasn’t there!!
Not funny!
Very enjoyable
Great book with lots of LOL moments.
It was ok, very predictable
I almost didn’t get past the first chapter. I have never read a book with so much swearing. Everyone from the grandparents down to the two year old could not speak without constant four letter words. Might have been a good story if they had cut back on the bad language and had some normal conversations.
