I left my life behind me.
My sister.
My MC.
I need room to breathe and room to think, to make my own choices and to own my mistakes.
Bitterness and anger cloud my judgment when it comes to the MC. What is so great about them that I can’t have on the outside? What is so great about the patch?
Death?
Blood?
Fear?
That is all I’ve experienced with the club.
I hated to leave my sister. She’s … patch?
Death?
Blood?
Fear?
That is all I’ve experienced with the club.
I hated to leave my sister. She’s the only reason I stayed as long as I did.
But it’s time for something new.
And yet, I find myself searching for trouble, wanting—needing to be someone’s savior.I have the best poker face, but when I lay down my winning hand and they shove a girl at me, bound and scared, for my prize, I knowI’ve landed in the middle of something bigger than me.The girl? Scarlett Rose.
My reason for being.
My clarity.
I just have to prove it to her.
She needs protection, and I’ll die before they hurt her again.

Wow, ugly cry! This story is heartbreaking, but action packed as well.
Boomer grew up in the Ruthless Kings MC Las Vegas Chapter. His father was the president until his death due to a bad plan. Boomer stayed with the MC and was raised by Reaper, Boomer’s father’s best friend. Reaper is now the president of the club. Boomer is so happy to have found out that he has a sister and he loves her unconditionally, but Boomer is having a hard time finding himself and finding his place in the MC. He needs to get away and figure out what will make him happy and who he is. So, he sneaks away in the dark of morning leaving a note for his sister and the MC that raised him, finding himself in Atlantic City, NJ at a rundown motel on the beach.
Scarlett is a college student that finds herself waking up in the damp, musty basement of some house. She has no idea how she got there or what has happened to her in the past few hours. Her last memory is of being on campus and hearing the rumble of motorcycles and then the sting of something on her neck. When she wakes up and finds herself unable to move and collar around her neck, she begins to panic and is comforted by another female voice, until she learns where she is and what her future looks like. When Abigail, the other girl with her basement, tells her of the man who brings her food and how he is kind, Scarlett is skeptical and shows that she is not afraid of him. She confronts him as to how he can let them be treated this way and why he hasn’t helped them.
Boomer finds his way and what he’s meant for in Atlantic City when he finds Scarlett and other women being held in a basement. His odd friendship with the motel owner, Homer, gives him purpose too. He wants to help Homer rebuild the motel and make it a place where people want to stay and give Homer some peace in his life. He has sacrificed so much already and deserves to have some good in his life.
This story broke my heart, tore it out of my chest, and then put it back together. It was devastating to get to know Boomer and his struggles, but when he finds his way, it healed my heart right along with healing his. It is a beautifully tragic story of a man who feels like he has nothing to live for and finds that if he weren’t around so many people would be heart broken. I loved this story and I am looking forward to more of the Ruthless Kings, although I hope that there will be more of Boomer’s MC as well in the future. The men of the Ruthless Kings make me laugh at times, the passion that they have about their proclivities and the way they treat each other like they are family is amusing and I love them all. I give this story a 5-star review and recommend it to readers who love MC romance, goofy, tough, dark bikers, and the women who complete them and make them whole. I will give you a heads up though that it is dark, heartbreaking, and deals a touchy subject, but it is done very well.
Title: Boomer by KL Savage
Genre: MC
About the Book: Boomer has left his life behind because he never truly fit in with the Ruthless Kings. He ends up in Atlantic City, NJ and somehow become entangled with the Ruthless Kings chapter.
Review: This book can be read as a stand alone. We do see some previous characters so there is some continuity as well. The story has twists, turns, drama, and sex. I love this series.
Overall Rating (Out of 5 stars): 4 out of 5.
I really enjoyed Boomer. It was my first time reading K.L. Savage and I look forward to reading more in the series. The MC portions were raw and ruthless like you expect in a MC story. The romance was good but a little to insta-love for my taste. I like for the characters to have to fight for their love not know it and want to be together two minutes after meeting each other. Especially after what Scarlett went through. Overall a great story that was written well and an enjoyable read. It had an interesting plot and a nice fast pace. If you like raw, gritty MC stories than you will enjoy this book.
Voluntary review of an ARC
BOOMER is the second instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS MC erotic, MC romance series focusing on the Ruthless Kings MC. This is twenty year old, Ruthless Kings MC member Jenkins aka ‘Boomer’, and Scarlett Rose ’s story line. BOOMER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading book one REAPER for back story and cohesion.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Boomer and Scarlett) BOOMER follows in the aftermath of Boomer’s struggle to fit into the MC. Years after his father was killed, our hero continued to battle the demons from his past. Unable to accept that he is worthy of the friendship and love of the Ruthless Kings MC, Boomer walks away, leaving the Vegas chapter behind, landing himself in Atlantic City, New Jersey but all does not go according to plan when Boomer finds himself pulled back into the lifestyle when he discovers a battered and bruised young woman who reveals there are more women held captive at the local club. Enter Scarlett Rose, the woman with whom Boomer will fall in love. What ensues is the rescue and building relationship between Scarlett and Boomer, and the potential fall-out when Scarlett discovers the truth about Boomer and his connections to the Ruthless Kings MC.
The Atlantic City chapter of the Ruthless Kings MC is dirty and dangerous, using young women as a fodder in their attempts to control the local city but Boomer wants to stop the New Jersey chapter, and finds himself face to face with the man who once raised him, in an effort to prove he is worthy of love. Calling in help from the MC back home, Boomer discovers that the love of his family is what will help with his spiral out of control. With a number of young women still under lock and chain, Reaper sets a plan into motion to take down the local MC. Scarlett had no idea what had happened to her life, and the fall-out as the Ruthless Kings slowly destroyed her spirit and her soul. Meeting her would-be rescuer in the guise of Boomer, Scarlett believes she has traded one captor for another until the truth is finally revealed.
The relationship between Boomer and Scarlett is quick to develop. Boomer believes Scarlett to be the ‘one’; the woman to control the demons that continue to ride him fast and hard. Within a few minutes of meeting our story line heroine, Boomer knows Scarlett to be his happily ever after. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
Several of the Las Vegas Ruthless MC members including President Reaper, VP Tool, Tongue, Poodle, Knives, Bullseye, and Badge. We are introduced to a few of the captive women: Abigale, Melissa, Joanna and Mary some of the members of the Atlantic City MC-Wolf, who helps in the rescue of our story line heroine; their president Venom, as well as Kansas, One-Eye and Arrow. There may be something developing between Poodle and Melissa.
BOOMER is a story of struggle, mental illness, family and love. The premise is engaging, raw and gritty; the romance is steamy and seductive; the characters are energetic, charismatic, dangerous and some-times…fun.
Boomer and Scarlett. Wow. Boomer has so much to overcome and when he meets Scarlett she’s a perfect match for him. They have great chemistry and both exciting characters. The story is well written with a great storyline with plenty of action, danger, emotions and steam. Boomer is a great MC story. I’d need to read the first book so I can get a little more background on Boomers youth. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
WOW what a gripping MC ride. We met Boomer as a kid in the prequel to the series. He had just lost his father and became Reaper’s ward (Reaper is the Prez of the Ruthless Kings MC). Boomer was a handful at times, he was a good yet troubled kid. In book 1 (Reaper’s story) we got to know Boomer as an adult, the product of being raised in an MC. Now in book 2 of the series we get Boomer’s story from his eyes. He is now prospecting for the MC but he is still deeply troubled. He can’t seem to drown out the voices in his head that he’s not good enough. So he runs off in the night to try and figure out just exactly who and what he is.
I don’t do spoilers so I won’t get into the meat and potatoes but let me tell you the author wrote an amazing and emotional storyline that kept me captivated throughout the book. Both Boomer and Scarlett, the heroine in the story, have quite the tale to tell. The storyline is written so well that I could feel what all the characters were going through: all the pain, hurt, sadness, happiness and love. The scenes just seem to unfold vividly right before my eyes. It’s an incredible read that I highly recommend grabbing up. Added Plus: we get to catch up with all the guys that make up the Ruthless Kings MC.
While I suppose Boomer could be read as a stand-alone, I STRONGLY suggest reading the prequel (Reaper’s Rise) and book 1 (Reaper) of the Ruthless Kings MC series first. Boomer’s story will make much more sense and enhance your reading experience. This is an outstanding book/series in this reader’s opinion and I for one can’t wait to see where the storyline takes us next.
2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars
This is the second book in the series and focuses on Boomer and Scarlett. Boomer had alot to overcome and Scarlett was a perfect match for him. These two had great chemistry and were both interesting characters. The story was well-written with a storyline that had plenty of emotions, action, danger, steam and love. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend to anyone who enjoys reading MC Romance.

Boomer feels lost and like an outsider in his misfit MC family. After enduring the torture from a rival gang the voices inside Boomer’s head are too loud to ignore. Boomer decides to leave his family in the middle of the night and find as place to belong. After driving for days he ends up in Atlantic City. Then fate steps in!
After overhearing a sister chapter of his MC planning to traffic girls Boomer knows he must step in. That’s when he meets Scarlett. It’s instant! She helps to calm the Beast inside him. Now can Boomer help Scarlett heal and protect her from the men from his MC’s sister chapter??? Will Boomer find his place in his MC?
After reading Reaper, I was so intrigued by Boomer. Let me just say that I was not disappointed. My heart ached for him as he fought everything inside of him as he thought he was trying to do right by everyone by leaving. The thoughts and the pain that Boomer has is just tragic. It is raw and emotional. Then you spin into the twists that Savage has added into this book about Scarlett and how she turned up where she did. It really tugs on you. But their connection is beyond passionate. Even with misunderstandings, these two are totally made for each other as everything literally explodes around them.
Overall, I am in love with this series. It is unique and raw. It has grit. Boomer may be my favorite so far but I am so excited to see what is coming with the other men. Savage has created some strong alpha men with some seriously epic leading ladies who regardless of everything thrown at them, they rise to the top! If you want a new MC series, look no further because the Ruthless Kings MC is one to read!
Wow! This author is quickly becoming one of my go-toes for MC. Boomer is damaged and broken and has demons to overcome but when he finds himself with Scarlett, it seems his purpose has been revealed. It’s an MC romance, so there is some gritty and dark themes but they suck you in because it goes so well with Scarlett and Boomer’s story. I couldn’t put this down.

Oh gosh! This had me on edge from the first words written! Get the tissues ready! Scarlett and Boomer what a pair! Both have what the other needs and it is going to set off a explosion that will make your heart soar and leave your soul satisfied. These two are a quite the pair! I love the interplay between them. I love this world that K.L. has created! I can not say enough good stuff about this couple. SO GOOD that is what these books that K.L. has given us! The interplay between Reaper and Boomer is phenomenal and the fact that they can come together after everything and he still loves that boy! Homer made me laugh and I fell in love with that old soul! LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!

I can’t get enough of this series. I love each one more and more. Every character is lovable. Boomer’s woman is kidnapped and he’ll stop at nothing to get her back. Action, danger, steam, intense with a hea.
I do suggest reading the previous stories before this, there is a .5 then a book one before this installment. After what happened in book one, Boomer is not in a good place, heck he wasn’t in a good place before all that transpired in book one. Making the choice to leave is hard, but a decision that Boomer/Jenkins feels he has to do. He has to find out whats going on in his head and why he doesn’t feel like the MC is his life. On his journey he ends up in a situation where he meets Scarlett and from that point on, things just get crazy! Will Boomer figure out just where he belongs, or will he listen to the voices in his head?
For me this was a whole lot better than book one. This is one seriously nitty gritty MC story. Once again there were a few scenes that just made no sense to me; a naughty time that was ill timed, a grenade that was set off but only one part was blown up??? A few things that don’t add up, but with more stories I feel this author has the potential to go far. I give this 3.75 stars.
My heart simply breaks for Boomer. He is battling demons that are crippling him. He leaves Vegas and everything his ever known behind and just drives. He ends up in Atlantic City just trying to find himself and quietly to demons. He comes across a situation that will change his life and the people around him forever. Scarlett is just a college student just trying to get to class when the unthinkable happens. Now kidnapped and thrust into the basement chained like a dog she begs and pleads for someone to save her. Will anyone get to her in time? Will Boomer be the savior she builds him up in her head to be? This story is so full of twists and turns it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I can’t wait for Tool’s story!!
The love Story of Boomer and Scarlett starts of with a bang and ends with a “boom”. I like how the K. L. Savage describes what Boomer had to go through to become the man he is. He had a lot to overcome and Scarlett is a match for him and complements him completely. I laughed and cried as I was reading and just simply fell in love with both Boomer and Scarlett. Absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for an Outstanding MC story. Although this book can be read as a stand alone I recommend reading Reaper first as it has some background into Boomer’s youth.

When I read Reaper I was completely put under a spell. All I could think was these guys are savage (no pun intended), and I love them all! And by savage, I mean totally intoxicating and addicting to me as a lover of dark gritty MC books . This author hit all my pulse points with her style and voice. Boomer’s story was exactly what his name leads you to think … BOOM !!
This is the part where I tell you:
1. This is not a standalone in my opinion. Technically, the journey of Boomer and Scarlett can easily be read if you haven’t read Reaper, but stop it. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it. I have been reading MC books for a veeeery long time. Don’t do it. Start at the beginning. MC series are never just about the characters #TRSUT
2. Read the prequel to this series before you do anything. Seriously.
That’s all the preaching from me LOL
Scarlett and Boomer both have what I would consider to be struggles of their own that each are the perfect match to help get thru said struggles. In other words, The author wrote perfectly matched characters that fed off of each other in the story. They elevated each other. I didn’t really see a power dynamic that was different within their own little circle. I really liked that about them. That’s a hard thing to pull off with these types of stories. So props to the author for creating a perfect storm of two.
The storyline carried a lot of suspense and kept me glued to the story from beginning to end. It is dark so heed the warnings before you jump in but honestly, what MC romance book out there isn’t dark in one way or another … so if you’re even contemplating this book/series you must know that and I would say this is really one of the best I’ve read in a while.
I really enjoyed reading Boomer. This book was very addicting and entertaining. I loved Boomer his character was amazing and he went thru a lot while growing up. He grew up to be man that he is today and he had to leave his sister and his MC behind. This book was great it was good to read about Boomer I fell in loved with his character the prequel. I can not wait to read more of this series, this is a great MC series with great characters.
Boomer by K.L. Savage is book Two in the Ruthless Kings Mc Series. This is the story of Scarlett and Boomer. I have read the previous book so that did help me with the enjoyment of this one, but I did feel it could be a standalone book if you wish to do so. Boomer’s father was a vital part of the MC but he was killed when Boomer was younger. Boomer was raised by Reaper his father’s best friend. Reaper is also the President of the MC and now with Boomers newly found sister has taken her as his wife. So Boomer has had mixed feelings about the MC for a while but after being kidnapped and still unsure of his sister’s marriage he decided to leave town and the MC. But he ends up saving some women from another chapter MC who along with kidnapping women have been terrorizing the town.
Once Boomer saves Scarlett he falls immediately for her but of course their is danger from the MC but then Reaper and his fellow MC show up to help. Enjoyed this book and hope to read more from this author soon.
Boomer is born into the MC life, but he lost his way. He takes to the road to find himself. H lands in a situation that he didn’t ask for. He is angry, lost and broken. A tortured man who meets a nearly broken Scarlett and they are so made for each other. Two tortured souls who found each other! A very good story. I love MC life. Beware the sex scenes are not for the squeamish. You will have to read for yourself to find out if if the lovers made it out of hell
*Spoiler Alert*
Boomer, Sarah’s brother gets his own book when he leaves the Ruthless Kings MC to find some kind of peace for himself. When he finds a place to land in New Jersey at a run down inn with a grumpy but funny old man Homer. Loved Homer’s attitude especially with everything that has happened in his life. He made me laugh. Loved the banter between him & Boomer. Boomer was one of my favourite characters in the last book. A tortured soul (which he is in this book) but with a caring heart of gold. Which comes out more with his relationship with Scarlett and all the darkness in this book. So glad that some of the characters from book 1 pop up in this one. I totally loved this book. Its another fab read
