It’s all paws on deck as a librarian and her rescue cat track down a killer in the newest book in the national bestselling Bookmobile Cat mystery series. But the feisty librarian is worried that the bookmobile’s future could be uncertain when a new library … when a new library board chair arrives and doesn’t seem too friendly to her pet project.
Still, she has to put her personal worries aside when she and Eddie are out on their regular route and one of their favorite customers doesn’t turn up to collect her books. You can’t miss with this series!
Charming…Librarian Minnie Hamilton is kindhearted, loyal, and resourceful. And her furry sidekick, Eddie, is equal parts charm and cat-titude.
This is one of my favorite series and this one did not disappoint. The tourists have gone home and the locals are enjoying winter in Michigan. Minnie and Eddie are driving the library bookmobile along the back roads. When a local patron does not show up at a her stop they decide to drive by to see if anything is wrong and they find her body. Minnie sets out to solve the murder with the help of the local police. Along with her crime solving she is also helping to plan two weddings, break in a new library director and exploring her new relationship with Rafe. I really enjoy the library, the small town setting and the characters. The author does a really good job with the Michigan setting. The mystery was good and there were enough suspects to make it interesting. I like it that she does work with the police. I am looking for word to reading the next book. Enjoy

Minnie Hamilton is the Assistant Librarian at the Chilson Library but her pride and joy is the bookmobile which she and her cat, Eddie, use to get books to those who are unable to come to the library. While out on a run, one of her regular patrons did not show up so Minnie drove to the woman’s house only to find her dead in her driveway. When it turns out the woman was murdered, Minnie and Eddie are on the case. Things take a tragic turn at one point so can Minnie and Eddie get this case solved before anyone else is killed?
I LOVE this series and this book was no exception. Laurie Cass keeps the series fresh and you’ll love getting to know all the characters especially Eddie! I highly recommend this book and the series which I recommend you read in order.
Great book! Minnie, Julia, and Eddie the cat find the body of one of the bookmobile customers out in the snow. It is later determined that the woman was poisoned. Minnie is asked by the woman’s children to find the killer. She and Eddie are on the hunt for the killer while worrying about the new library director and library board president and the future of the bookmobile. Looking forward to seeing what’s next for Minnie and Rafe (and Eddie) as well as Aunt Frances and Otto!
Minnie is a charming amateur sleuth with a healthy addiction for books, a pro-snow point of view on winter, and a penchant for spreading cheer. For Minnie, solving a murder is just an extension of being a librarian – a little extracurricular research. She has help from her feline friend, Eddie. Eddie is intelligent and can hold an entire conversation by simply saying, “Mrr”, in varying intonations. Booking The Crook is a delightful mystery with an engaging protagonist that had me hooked to the last page.
Minnie and Mr. Ed ARE BACK!!!! It feels like forever since I read the last book (i know its hard work for the author) and I couldn’t wait to see how things were going. The book picked up right where it left off and WOW it was INTENSE! I had to remind myself that there is more for Minnie and it wasn’t going to end like that. My only thought now is when is the next one coming out?
