For Booker Coyote, music was his life. He was temporarily filling in as the bass player for Courting Chaos, hoping to maybe get a permanent spot in the band one day. But for now, this was enough to keep him happy. Booker’s dad, Joe, called him to say his Mom was sick, hospitalized and recovering from pneumonia after her stroke, and she had wanted to see him if he could come home for a few days just to visit. Small town life was not for him, but he would do this for his mom.
Paige Wilson was Booker’s mom’s live-in home health care nurse on their large property in Michigan. It was covered in trees and she loved walking around the property, enjoying the sparkling blue lake. Paige would push Marina around the property in a wheelchair – which Marina argued about, but gave in when Paige wouldn’t let her exert herself while still recovering. Paige was happy here and loved caring for Marina.
When Booker arrived home, he headed for the kitchen for a bottle of water and startled both himself and a young woman who had quietly walked in. Introductions made, his mom took him to the living room to catch up on the news of how things were going. Halfway through dinner, his dad started in on the fact he should come home since his playing with the band wasn’t a “real” job and was only temporary. Booker replied that he was doing what he loved and, even if he didn’t get asked to join the band permanently, he would find something else to do rather than work with the horses and such with his dad. Paige wanted to tell Booker his music was a gift to people and brought happiness to so many. But that would be overstepping to speak up on a family matter.
Later Paige joined Booker on the couch in front of the TV. After some uncomfortable questions about Paige’s foster care life and her telling him how she admired his music gift, they comfortably settled into getting to know each other better and felt like friends, able to laugh and understand how the other felt.
Waking the next day, Booker’s phone buzzed and he saw he had missed calls and texts from everyone, Lawson — the band’s manager, and Dixon, Cross, and Ransom. He texted back, then took his shower and got dressed. When he heard Paige was driving to the store, he asked to go along. On the hour round-trip, they again chatted with each other, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. And when they arrived home, he finally kissed her.
When Booker is offered the full-time position as bass player in the band, it’s time to return to the touring circuit. Will he and Paige try to maintain a long-distance relationship while he’s away from her? It’s difficult when so far apart to avoid the misunderstandings that sneak into relationships. But trusting and caring for each other can still happen if they are willing to give it a serious try.
This was a wonderful, easy-to-read story that moved along at a perfect pace. It’s about finding a place in your life where you are happy and working at it to make it thrive. The characters were very likable and worthy of happiness and love. Grab your copy and see how it all turns out for everyone.
This story was pretty good but it had zero drama. Booker is the new bassist for Courting Chaos and he’s a gifted musician who left home at age sixteen. Now in his twenties he’s returned home because his mom has been ill. He meets mom’s nurse and falls in love. It’s a very sweet story but it has no surprises and I still like it. I recommend this book and can’t wait to read book five.
This is a really great read full of drama and romance. Booker is a new member of the band and a captivating and likable character. Will he be able to make a romance work Paige and them both keep their careers? It is a great storyline that is well written and entertaining. I enjoyed reading and recommend.

I loved the chemistry between the two main characters. I liked how the author wrote her struggles with her current situation and her past because it set a precedence to her strength and convictions. I thought he was very interesting and entertaining as the male lead in the story. I liked how the author engaged their differences and made the story even more enjoyable. Great storytelling
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!

Another great entry in this entertaining series. Lots of drama and issues to overcome while trying to have a life on the road. Good summer or really anytime read.
The more I read this series, the better. I feel so invested in these characters now and I feel like I’m part of their band and their extended family. Booker is the newbie in the group but he fits so well in there that it’s hard to see him struggle. His story is just as riveting and sweet and hot as the others. I can’t wait for the next book!

This awesome book was well written and the characters were so well developed that I remained totally engaged throughout the entire book!
This has been a great series so far and this book was no exception. Very entertaining read and continued the story of life of the road with a slightly different take on falling in love with an “outsider”. The characters were great and the story somewhat light and fun.
The steamy parts were pretty spectacular as well.
Happy Reading… enjoy!
He is not happy when he is called home as he just wants to be in the road and playing music. What he did not expect when he got home was a pretty nurse helping his mother. She has suffered so much but she knows this job will make it for her. Their son James her feels things but she must not go down that road. See if she can keep away from him

Highly entertaining, fast, sexy and engaging journey filled with lots of witty banter, tough love and heart pounding action….. really enjoyed reading about these interesting and exciting charters. Was a great way to spend a few reading hours relaxing with a nice drink.
While I loved Cross and Ransom’s stories, I totally and completely fell in love with Booker and Paige. I think this is my favorite book so far by Heather Young-Nichols.
I can’t pin-point exactly what it is about them or their story that grabbed me. I swear I was wrapped up in them from the very start and honestly didn’t want this book to end. I loved how they took the time to talk and get to know each other. The attraction was immediate. But with their conversations, they got to know each other and were able to build their relationship on a good foundation.
All the feels I look for in a romance were there in spades, between Booker’s mom, the issues with his father, Paige’s history, the band, all of it! It is a perfect mix of everything.
I love Courting Chaos and the love, camaraderie, and brotherhood they share. I can’t wait for Lawson to find his “one” next!
I think I’ve said it with ever book so far in this series; I love these guys! I’m a sucker for stories that take me behind the scenes of the entertainment industry. And even though this one isn’t set behind the scenes as much as the previous ones were, I love getting this peel into Booker’s life. Since he came on the scene, I’ve been curious about Booker. He has this aura of wise sage that surrounds him from being in the biz for so long. Paige? I don’t quite know how to describe Paige. She’s fiercely independent but at the same time intensely vulnerable. These two will make an amazing pair, but we’re going to watch them working at it, because I don’t think togetherness is something that comes naturally to either one. I can’t wait to see the last Courting Chaos bachelor fall. Or should I say two? Because Lawson totally needs a badass babe to soften him up and whip him into shape.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Book three of the Courting Chaos series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Told in dual POV with HEA. Each book about a different band member and their HEA. Booker is filling in as the bands bass player when he is called home to see his sick mom. Paige is Booker’s moms home nurse. They have instant chemistry and spend time getting to know each other. Booker is offered a full-time position in the band and needs to go back to touring. Paige is used to people coming and going in her life but is willing to try a long-distance relationship. They have some miscommunication and misunderstandings but have a wake-up call and make the decision to put each other first. Short and sweet!!
