Lines blur and boundaries crossed, limitations are stretched and bent, booting this baby forward, kicking it into overdrive, slamming it into a tailspin with an mind-blowing culmination. Anarchy runs rampant and havoc is rife, rolling out the drama, intrigue, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a double dose of bedlam while dodging chaos, you have one thrilling adventure. The characters are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow, transforming into genuinely relatable personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and depictions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Amazing job Mary, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Book of Watchers is an Excellent and a must read! As always, Mary Ting did not disappoint.
It began with a falling star, where it broke apart and 2 holy souls were reborn from that star. Liana and Enoch, were born to two separate famlies. When Liana woke that fateful morning, she had no idea her life was about to change so drastically. As For Enoch, he thought he was just an all American boy, who has from a family of wealth. Enoch’s father was never around much, while he was growing up.
Soon Enoch will understand that everything isn’t always black or white.
With a little dark, a little light, good vs evil, which makes for an amazing adventure!
Great read in which the main character finds himself thrust in the paranormal world. I voluntarily received this book for an honest review.
Archangels, demons, watchers, witches and vampires. This book covers all aspects of the supernaturals. Ones who want to rule the world, ones who think the world should be theirs. Those who want to protect mere mortals. This is a fast moving action packed storyline. Giving you different points of view by the various characters. Can not wait to see what is going to happen next with this series.

Book of Watchers by Mary Ting was a pure rollercoaster ride. With suspense and mystery, a splash of romance, and copious amounts of action; it was extraordinarily thrilling! Heart beating fast in my chest, literally sitting on the edge of my seat, I devoured page after page on my tab, needing to discover what would happen next. Mary Ting has a magical gift for world building and I cannot wait to read the next installment! Well done!
Wow. Just wow. Everything about Mary Ting’s totally imaginative Book of Watchers is wonderfully explosive. The book is the key. There’s a whole world out there, of demons, angels, vampires, witches, and so much more that we are oblivious to. Equally oblivious, at least at the story’s start, is poor Enoch the less character. He won’t remain like that before with a while supernatural world seemingly out to get him and a secret to be discovered that’s frankly mind blowing and will either destroy him or make him more than he could ever have imagined, or wanted, for himself. Enoch has an exhilarating trip discovering and dealing with all of this, and it makes for a great story. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.

Whoa!! Oh Mary… Why do you do this to me?!?! You make fall in love with your stories. Book of Watchers is the latest story that I completely loved from beginning to end. This had elements of suspense, mystery, action, and horror in which was well balanced in creating the right atmosphere that kept me at the “edge of my seat.” Every element balanced out the story giving me all the chills, the questions, the feels that kept me turning the pages.
The way Mary can create these incredibly vivid descriptions of a world full of the supernatural transported me into this imaginative world of hers. It was dark and intense, but yet, it will tug on your heart-strings. As for all her characters, each with their own personalities and emotional baggage that felt so real. The way she describes her characters, brought them out vividly in my imagination.
As for the story, I loved it! A combination of the various genres I enjoy reading, Mary effortlessly weaved these genres into a flowing story that drew me in to these characters lives and the secrets they hold. There are a good amount of secrets there, too. It is definitely something that will make you go… “Hmmm….” The twists that Mary embedded throughout the story made for a good mystery, too. As secrets were unraveled, more secrets started to reveal itself as well. But then, at the end…. Really, Mary!!??!! Wow… That was subtle… A cliffhanger?!? Ugh!!! Wow! That “threw me for a loop.” This cliffhanger was not a “slap in your face” kind of cliffhanger. It was more like a slow burn until you got to the fire… Ugh! Now, I really, really NEED book 2 to find out what other secrets that need to be told. Gah!!! Thanks a lot, Mary!!!
I love this author. Love the story.
Mary Ting has done it again. She has written a story that is truly entertaining and checks off so many story categories for me. Paranormal, check. A mystery to solve, check. Strong female characters, check. Characters that you will both love and hate, check.
Can Enoch solve the mystery of who he really is in time to save mankind? Whose side is he on and who can he trust? All will be revealed as the story unfolds. I absolutely cannot wait for more.
I really wanted to rate this book higher, but in all fairness I couldn’t. The story was good and kept me very interested. There were some editing issues which can be very disruptive to staying in a story. There is some character confusion, especially where the “watchers” are concerned. However, the worst problem came with the ending. It just stops. I know there are to be other installments, but a good beginning should have a proper ending and not leave you hanging. I expected at least another chapter or two for a good conclusion and lead into the next book.
