2022 Bookfair

An annual showcase of over 600 exhibitors, AWP ’ s book fair is the nation ’ second largest market for freelancer literary presses and journals, creative writing programs, writing conferences and centers, and literary arts organizations. Secure an parade space for your press or constitution to reach over 12,000 writers, readers, teachers, and literary tastemakers. The book fair runs concurrently with AWP ’ s annual conference and is open to all registered league attendees .
We are excited to announce that exhibit space fees will not increase in Philadelphia. AWP operates the book fair as close to a break-even budget as potential. We do this—and keep our rates low—in accompaniment of smaller organizations and presses to help them collaborate and reach league attendees .

Overview of the Rolling Launch:

The rolling establish is a tiered organization based on accumulative years of participation rather than back-to-back years in consideration of exhibitors who are unable to attend the book fair every year. The rolling plunge begins with organizations that have exhibited in the book fair for fifteen or more accumulative years, followed by exhibitors who have participated in the book fair for ten or more accumulative years, and so on. This procedure was revised to better reward our many loyal longtime exhibitors for their commitment to AWP and the book fair .

Rolling Launch Selection Dates

The rolling launch begins with organizations that have exhibited in the book fair for fifteen ( 15 ) or more years. They will have exclusive access to select their placement. Next, organizations that have exhibited for ten ( 10 ) or more years, followed by 5+ and previous exhibitors. The system will be open to all organizations on December 22nd, 2021 .

• December 6th: Location selection open at 1 pm eastern to the 15+ year exhibiting organizations
• December 10th: Location selection at 1 pm eastern to the 10+ year exhibiting organizations
• December 14th: Location selection at 1 pm eastern to the 5+ year exhibiting organizations
• December 18th: Location selection at 1 pm eastern to previous exhibitors (1-4 years) organizations
• December 22nd: Location selection open to all exhibiting organizations

Exhibit Packages

Booth ($950) : Each 10 ’ x 10 ’ distance ( 100 sq. ft. with an 8 ’ high back drape ) includes two 6 ’ x 2 ’ .5 draped tables, two chairs, one wastepaper basket, one ID sign, a listing in the league planner if purchased by the November 22, 2021 deadline, an expanded list with a logo and a 250-character description on AWP ’ s web site, and two complimentary book fair apparatus access registrations that include full conference registration if assigned by the March 18, 2022 deadline .
Table ($650) : Each 4 ’ x 7 ’ space ( 28 sq. ft. with a 3 ’ eminent back drape ) includes one 6 ’ x 2.5 ’ draped table, two chairs, one wastepaper basket, one ID sign, a listing in the conference planner if purchased by the November 22, 2021 deadline, a number on AWP ’ s web site, and two complimentary book fair apparatus access registrations that include full conference registration if assigned by the March 18, 2022 deadline .

Saturday Community Bookfair

AWP strives to provide the most inclusive and dynamic experience to the literary community. We rate the small presses and organizations that contribute to our community and want to provide extra opportunities at the AWP Bookfair. To make the parade hall even more vibrant, micropresses and other small literary organizations are invited to apply for a detached expose space. Spaces are limited .
If your constitution grosses less than $ 20,000 per fiscal year and is local to the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area, we invite you to join us ! We are excited to be offering this one-day parade opportunity for small nonprofit organizations in the local host-city area.

The Saturday Community Bookfair will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022. The deadline to apply for this opportunity is January 5, 2022, 2021. AWP will notify you about whether your application is accepted by January 2022 .
