I’ve completely had it with men. I’m done. And in case you were wondering, book boyfriends aren’t real. I should know because I write them.My name is Greer Hanson. I think I’ve lost my mojo. After having my heart broken, I can’t seem to write about romance or love. When my best friend and publisher recommends an inspiration vacation, I decide to give it a whirl. What’s the worst that could happen?… that could happen?
Enter the perfect stranger. Patrick Fisher knocks me off my feet with his rugged good looks and charm. After one night with him, the words begin to flow. Since I know I’ll never see him again, I use him as my muse. But what do I do when my fantasy comes to life and that man steps right out of the pages of my book?
Book Boyfriends can’t be real. At least, that’s what I keep telling myself. Am I willing to risk having my heart broken all over again?
Maybe this time reality will be better than fiction.
A second chance romance.

This was such a cute book! It proves that real men are better then book boyfriends lol. Fisher and Greer are adorable together! I’d highly recommend this book to anyone!
I loved this book, it was such an original concept. Greer is your typical woman, who wouldn’t be skeptical if a book boyfriend from their own book showed up, but little did she know she had already found him and he was even better than her book boyfriend.
He uses scenarios from her story to catch her attention. It’s so original and fun. I loved it
4.5 Stars
I love it when a friend recommends a book that they loved, and I read it and enjoyed it as much as they did! Thank you, Marie Saunders!!!
Being my first book by this author and going in totally blind, this book was just what I needed. Second chance romance with a bit of comedy throughout.
Greer Hanson has been burned by her now ex-husband. Surviving now on her own, because who wants to be burned again by another man. Writing romance books is what she does and has given herself a little vacation to the beach to help her mojo in writing her next release.
When she gets knocked down by the perfect muse, her fingers fly! Typing out the perfect book. Chalking up the experience as she will never see him again, she writes the #1 book of the year. Next step is bringing the book to life on the big screen.
Fisher is a dream come true! Just like any book boyfriend would be. But is that really who he is? Or does the book boyfriend come out once he reads the book too?
This was a really fun, page turning, quick read that flew by. From the Tacos, to the shells, to the dress, to the flight, to the private orchestra, to the night of karaoke. This book had it all. Thank you again Marie for the great recommendation!!!

This was the first book I have read by this author. I really liked the premise of it. This book drew me in right away and didn’t want to put it down. This book made me laugh and swoon. I loved the characters and the over all story. Who doesn’t want a book boyfriend is their very own.
Will definitely be reading more of Dawn’s books, and look forward to more great stories.
Love, love loved this book! Very entertaining, finished it in one day!
Book Boyfriends can be real!
I previously read Dawn L. Chiletz’ rom-com which I truly enjoyed. Although this rom-com has some giggles, this is a more developed book with some angst and drama.
Greer is a romance writer who was having a tough time after her husband cheated on her and left her with writers block following their divorce. She goes away to try to recharge and on her last day, she meets the man book boyfriends are made from! Patrick Fisher is everything fantasies are about, and Greer uses her short encounter to muse a man that rocks her next romance novel to a bestseller. Patrick is not done with their relationship, and he is swoon in his attempts to prove himself to Greer.
I enjoyed this book, the premise, characters and flow. However, I prefer to see different points of view in a story and I felt the ending was rushed. This book is written solely from Greer’s point of view, and I found myself wanting to know what Patrick was thinking and feeling.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.
Book Boyfriend is a fun, sexy and charming romance in which an author finds her real book boyfriend when and where she least expects it. Greer and Patrick have a chance encounter while on vacation that Greer then uses as inspiration for her next book, which ends up becoming a huge bestseller and leads Patrick back to her. She never dreamed that anyone could measure up to the heroes that she writes about, but he is determined to prove her wrong, and he is absolutely swoon-worthy in every way as he does. He might belong to Greer, but Patrick will be on many readers’ book-boyfriend lists this year. This is my first time reading Dawn L. Chiletz, but definitely not my last.

ARC provided, but this review was voluntarily and honestly written.
I’m an avid romance reader, I enjoy getting caught up in incredible love stories and reading about the perfect hero who sweeps the heroine off her feet. I love the steamy scenes, and happily ever afters. But I also know they aren’t realistic, and these perfect men don’t exist. Or do they? Enter Book Boyfriend, where the perfect, swoony hero is based off a real life Romeo .
Greer is a best selling author, trying to get her groove back after having her heartbroken. Hoping to find some inspiration she takes a trip to the beach, and finds herself the perfect muse. One night turns into a best seller, but she may get more than she bargained for when her book starts coming to life.
Fisher is smitten from the moment he (literally) runs into Greer. He cant get her out of his mind, but a wrong number keeps him away. Until he picks up her latest bestseller, and recognizes the story. She wanted him for a muse, and he’s going to give her exactly what she wanted.
This book is so adorable! It’s fun, sweet and hysterical, and I couldn’t put it down. Fisher is the book boyfriend ever girl dreams of, and Greer is so awkward and genuine. You cant help but love them both separately and together. This is definitely one of those books I could read over and over, and would love for them to get another (or 5?!) book!
This was my first book by Dawn L Chiletz, and I cant wait to read more!
I absolutely loved this book!
Greer Hanson who’s author name is Macy Greer is on a vacation to help inspire her to create her next book. She’s been through a bad marriage, she is still reserved but very witty. When things doesn’t go her way, with a string of bad luck. She ends up being run over by a very sexy Patrick Fisher. They are both taken aback, and Patrick tries to persuade Greer to spend some time with him. They end up having a very sexy time on the beach, but Greer is still not sure why this handsome man would want her.
Greer ends up flying home the next morning, disappointed that Fisher didn’t come to stop her at the airport, and ends up writing a best seller about her adventure. The book has a made up ending that is dream worthy. Since the book is such an absolute must read, it gets a lot of attention, and is getting a movie deal!
When Greer starts to get different deliveries that are in the book, Greer’s not sure whether or not it is a stalker trying to make the ending very real, or who it is. When it turns out that Fisher has found out about the book, he tries to get Greers attention to hopefully see where things are headed.
Greer doesn’t believe that she’s worthy, and has high walls built that Fisher must break through. Is Fisher just trying to make her book come true, or is this real?
I absolutely loved this book, and this was my first read by Dawn Chiletz! I definitely will be reading more. 🙂
One of my favorite things in the entire world is laughing out loud while reading a romantic comedy. When an author’s words can plaster a smile on my face and make me giggle like a school girl from the very first chapter, I always know that the book is going to be special.
Book Boyfriend was hilarious, mysterious, and adorably sweet. It left me wanting more of Fisher and Greer’s story. It had me wishing that my life could be a Dawn L. Chiletz novel. That I could be written inside one of the worlds that she creates inside of her head. Because her brain is brilliant. Her characters are charming and witty and feel so real that you’ll never want to leave them behind.
So like every other Dawn L. Chiletz novel I have ever read, I’m sad to see this one end. I love getting lost inside of these characters, feeling like I have a new group of best friends to add to my never ending fictional list. And let’s not forget my newest Book Boyfriend Patrick Fisher, he could not have been more perfect!
So don’t hesitate to pick up this book. And after you get it, I dare you not to laugh out loud while you’re reading. Because you will not be disappointed by Book Boyfriend. The only bad thing about it was getting to the end and wondering when I’ll find another book as hilarious as this one!
I love this book! These characters were great and the story itself was so original. A reader and author’s dream. Greer is an author who is on a mini vacation for inspiration. She meets Fisher when he runs into her. He seems to good to be true. He seems like a book boyfriend she would create. But he is real. He pursues her and she keeps denying him to guard her heart. But he wins her over and they have a memorable encounter. She gives him a fake number and wants to keep as a memory. But she uses him as the inspiration for her next book that ends up being her best selling one. Now the book she wrote seems to be coming to life. Fisher is slowly showing her that not all men are like her scumbag ex husband. But trust is an issue. And they both make decisions that could ruin their happiness. I fell in love with this story right away. Greer cracked me up. The things she said to push Fisher away and her own internal thoughts were so clever and funny. And Fisher! He had me falling for him as Greer was. He totally was the perfect book boyfriend. He is proof that there are good men still out there and the jerks shouldn’t be the face for all relationships. This book had me hooked from start to finish. I finished it one day. I couldn’t put it down!
MY BEST READ OF THE YEAR! Dawn Chiletz’s Book Boyfriend was the exact book I needed at exactly the right time. With humor, sexiness and ALL the feels, this book will lift your spirit and leave you with a smile and a full heart.
Brilliantly written with outstanding characters, the story line flows from the first page to the last. Ms. Chiletz’s fresh take on the book boyfriend is charming and swoon worthy.
I will be recommending this book to everyone and probably bugging them until they read it.
Another Chiletz book that I absolutely LOVED! She has a way of making her characters so real and relatable, that you can’t help but love them!
Greer has come off a marriage that left a bad taste for men in her mouth. It has also messed with her writing and she’s struggling to write her next book. She goes off on a little beach getaway hoping it will get her mojo going! And it works – but maybe it’s not her writing mojo (IF you know what I mean!).
Fisher runs into Greer on the beach. Literally! Sparks fly and we definitely see something. Then poof – Greer heads home.
Her writing mojo returns and her book is a smash. And what comes next is a fun game of cat and mouse!
I am a BIG fan of Dawn L. Chiletz and even though I love her rom-com’s the best, this second chance contemporary romance is pretty good too. It does have some great lines to keep you laughing but it is also a lot deeper than I was expecting with some angst and drama.
I enjoyed the storyline of an author breaking a writing draught by using a hook up of a total stranger on holidays and making him her new muse. Greer has had some hardships in her life which has given her some trust issues, but the one thing that is going well is her writing and a movie deal. Everyone falls for a book boyfriend but no one has ever had him come to life until now. Fisher whilst jogging along a beach, smacks right into Greer and they spend the night getting to know each other and bonding over tacos. He has no idea what is to come when a new book hits the stands a few months later.
This is a quick read of a couple falling hard and fast but miscommunication stuffs things up. It’s not easy for Greer to trust with being stung badly before, and it will take some doing on both parts to mend the hurt that both received from each other. It felt a lot like life was imitating art with certain parts of this book and that some demons were expelled in writing it. I certainly felt for Greer and what she went through. At times I questioned Fisher’s motivation but he was such a sweetie and a true romantic I couldn’t help but fall for this book boyfriend.
