The characters are really well done and the story well told.
I love how Ms. Trumbo illustrates that redemption is not earned… You simply have to accept it. It’s a difficult concept for those used to everything offered having a “catch.”
Bonnie and Gavin are quite the pair.
Gavin’s life has revolved around Bank Robbing as long as he can remember. He is living outside of Redemption Bluff and has been causing trouble for the people in the town for a while now while trying to figure out the best way to gain revenge against Hawk. The former leader of his gang. Will he figure it out?
Bonny is one of a set of twins. Their father has passed away and they have come to Redemption Bluff. They are trying to make a living doing laundry.. Well… Bonny does the work and Gloria seems to find reasons to be the Boss. They once were close, but since arriving in Redemption Bluff Gloria has taken it upon herself to belittle Bonny and make her feel less than she truly is. Bonny has trouble putting the correct words together in sentences. That is until she meets the mysterious Gavin “Hart” Colt. The two seem to be drawn to each other like moths to a flame.
The story line is fantastic. That they will eventually be together is what we are pulling for the entire book… But there is
drama from Gavin’s past and a little surprise for the twin sisters near the end. You will definitely enjoy this read. The Author has woven a tale that you won’t want to put down. Another great book in the series!
When Gavin meets Bonnie his purpose for coming to Redemption Bluff changed and he’s starting to regret his past. Even the sweet innocent Bonnie can help change it……or can she?
Really entertaining story, you know they will end together but the author keeps you curious how that will happen.
I loved it! This one ends with a bit of an unresolved situation, but not exactly a cliff hanger! Bonny is one of the twins so her sister Gloria’s book will probably resolve and complete this story!
A wonderful read!!!
Gavin didn’t know any other life than being a criminal on the run and Bonnie thought she was broken because she said the wrong words when she was nervous. It started out as an innocent meeting and she didn’t know his true identity, but her goodness and hard working selfless nature gave him a reason to think about changing his life in the hopes that he would get what he really wanted: a family. I laughed at some of his silly pranks on the townspeople of Redemption Bluff, although shooting windows isn’t funny. I cheered when Bonnie came into her own and decided that she wasn’t going to keep living her life in his sister’s ridiculing shadow. This was a clean romance with plenty of suspense, humor, romance, and redemption.
This is an excellent story of a couple who have both experienced an unpleasant life. This is Bonny and Gavin’s story and the character development is excellent. Both Bonny and Gavin have experienced hurts, misunderstandings by family and friends and mistreatment, at time, and both of them are looking for a chance for happiness in their lives. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. It is a real page turner, and I know you will enjoy it.
This book is full of action, drama, suspense and romance. It is well written and hooks you on the first page. The author brings the story to life with her words, you can see the scenery and feel all the excitement and emotions. If you like a good clean historical western romance you will love reading Bonnie and Gavin’s story. I received an ARC copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
