When archaeologist Mara Garrett traveled to North Korea to retrieve the remains …
When archaeologist Mara Garrett traveled to North Korea to retrieve the remains of GIs lost in combat, she never imagined she’d be arrested, convicted of spying, and sentenced to death. Her only hope is Curt Dominick, the powerful, ambitious, and infuriatingly sexy US attorney prosecuting her uncle, a former vice president of the United States.
What starts off as a rescue mission quickly morphs into a race across the Pacific. Someone is after Mara, and they’ll risk everything to stop her from reaching Washington DC. With betrayal around every corner, Curt and Mara have little reason to trust each other and every reason to deny the sparks between them that blaze hotter than the Hawaiian sun. Still, desire clashes with loyalty when they discover a conspiracy that threatens not only their lives but the national security of the United States.

Top-notch page turner! The perfect mix of suspense and romance.
Mara works for JPAC, they bring MIA remains home to finally be laid to rest. While in North Korea she is arrested and in prison for 2 months. Curt, a US attorney is sent to bring her back. He is also prosecuting her uncle for some unsavory dealings. Someone doesn’t want Mara to make it back to the states but Curt will get her back no matter what. …
This engrossing romantic suspense was exactly what I was looking for. I’d call this a road-trip romance, but it’s more of a running-gun-battle romance. It has one of the most exciting opening scenes I’ve ever read, and it just keeps ramping up. The characters are well-drawn and sympathetic. Great, smart, sexy read!!
The second book in this series is just as good, maybe better than the first. WOW! Just WOW! The book opens with Mara Garrett in a North Korean prison. She’s awaiting execution. And things just get more exciting from there.
What I love about this series is how Rachel Grant bases her stories on historical events. Yes, she takes some creative …
A great story filled with so much intrique and twists. Lots of action plots. An expected romance and a real page turner as well. Loved the main characters.

Quirkies, it’s a good thing to love your friends’ books.
I saw that Body of Evidence was a BookBub deal today and thought, THIS is a great time to do the review for BoE!
BoE opens with a scene so high-tension, so exciting that you wonder if Rachel Grant can keep the story that exciting for another 300 pages.
Reader, she can.
I adored this book …
Body of Evidence (Evidence, #2) by Rachel Grant

A exciting story that had me on the edge of my seat so often it was hard not to look ahead. The twists and turns through the circumstances as well as Mara & Curt’s relationship are captivating. This is my first story by Rachel Grant but it won’t be my last.
Nicol Zanzarella is magnificent portraying the characters and expressing the by play of …
You won’t be able to stop reading until you finish it.
I love this series! Just the right amount of suspense, action, romance & yes, sex. Rachel Grant is one of my new favorite authors. I will be reading many more of her books.
A fantastic series
Moved quickly and captivatingly to a foregone, but enjoyable, conclusion. Not college book report material. Good for a short diversion. And, yes, the plot could make a movie.
Another great book I flew through.
I love her books!
Kay Scarpetta medical examiner books are so well thought out and detailed they make you think. I put myself in her shoes and try to find out things before she does. One of the best things is that she uses real terminology from real life to tell the story that makes people interested in the CJ field!
This series is great reading. Not for the faint if heart as they get pretty descriptive. The series are about a crime solving coroner, the cop who works with her and the sometimes gruesome murders they solve.
I love the characters I have grown to know over the years. However, I do not appreciate the use of Gay Lifestyle in every TV show and books these days. That is a personal choice, between you and God. A choice you make that should be your private & personal business. Patricia Cornwell has created a perfect main character, Scarpetta, and her …
