Sequel to Mind Magic
Triad: Book Two
A pack is only as strong as its weakest member. Rocky Harris knows how the system works. He’s been on the bottom rung his whole life. But when his alpha consigns him to the High Moon Pack to help them improve security, he finds his beliefs not just challenged but outright assaulted.
Cade Montgomery’s confidence took a hit when the pack’s cubs were kidnapped … pack’s cubs were kidnapped on his watch. He’s prepared to do anything to protect his family, even if it means working with Rocky. Maybe Cade doesn’t trust Rocky, but with the turmoil surrounding pack Alpha Gray’s unpopular decision to break tradition and mate with a mage named Simon, Cade knows more threats are coming.
Then someone declares war on shifters and puts the entire pack in danger. Cade and Rocky will need each other’s strengths to survive the impending battle—and the power of their growing attraction.

It is difficult to write an unbiased revision for the book of one of your favorite authors. Since I finish the first book on the series I was waiting excitedly for the continuation of the story and after I was lucky and got the book as an ARC I couldn’t stop reading it until the end and I assure you that I enjoyed every single chapter too much. It was interesting witnessed the life of the pack and all the interaction between the members, the growing attraction between Rocky and Cade, the magic, the action, the intrigue, the way Simon and Gray’s relationship and their bond with each other and with the pack grew stronger every day, and many other little wonderful things inside the plot. Because, Ms Blake is a really brilliant plotter, the twists and turns on the narrative made the story worth reading it more than once: you always will find something new and amazing in the story every time you read it. Of course, good has its reward and even if the fight against evil continues, there is always time for love and family. Wonderful reading!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Our differences make us stronger
Rocky has some big secrets that he wants to stay hidden. He’s used to a pack led by a jerk of an alpha who treated him horribly and has trouble trusting and believing in Gray’s pack. It’s a good thing he has Cade who’s not shy with his opinions and the others to show him a different way. It delighted me how Rocky and Cade danced around their attraction. The very air sizzled when they were around each other, and I love it when wolves get possessive and growly.
On the other side of things, Simon and Gray are adjusting to being mates and enjoying each other. It’s so much fun to visit with them again. Garon is precious and precocious. Simon is coming to terms with all the changes in his life along with finding his place and role in the pack. Also, I think he’s going to be very powerful and an advantage they’ll need. I’m glad he has Cormac to help guide him as learns more about his magic.
As if all of these changes aren’t enough, something evil and frightening is after the pack and the destruction it brings is heartbreaking. Out of that tragedy though, something amazing happens with the pack. I really enjoyed the lighthearted moments in this book and the bond between Cade, Liam and Gray. Wolf humor is funny, and I want to know where Simon shops. He has awesome taste in shirts.
I am in love with the celebration scene of this book! So proud of Rocky and Gray for their actions and words. It’s going to take everyone working together to defeat the evil and I have a feeling it will be an intense but epic battle. Also, I have no doubt that Simon will win everyone over by the end of this trilogy. Really looking forward to Cormac and Liam’s story and to seeing how everything play out.
