It was an interesting book, light hearted mystery reading.
Love this series!
I enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed it and plan to read the rest of the series!!!!
Tidy plot
Totally enjoyed this book.
An enjoyable mystery with an unlikely sleuth. The Reverend not only does church work but works the community for answers when the body of a young woman is found in the woods.
Ok stories. Decently well written. Nothing special. But I enjoy them enough to finish reading. Easy. Light if not very intelligent.
This is the 3rd book by this author I have read. She never disappoints
This is part of a series of cozies centered around a female English vicar turned sleuth. Easy and entertaining read. If you like cozies, you should enjoy this one.
This was a fun, clean and quick read. I enjoyed the characters like Reverend Annabelle and the residents of Upton St. Marys.
Alison Golden never fails to please & you will not be disappointed with this story & it’s very surprising solution to the mystery ………
A fun read for a lazy afternoon. The protagonist is an inquisitive Anglican priest in a little UK village near which a long-buried skeleton is found. Reverend Annabelle Dixon is quite delightful (her affinity for sweets is actually helpful in solving the mystery) and a few of the secondary characters are well-drawn but, although the revelation of the murderer and the murderer’s motive are tragic, it’s hard to remember very much about this novel a day or two after you’ve read it.
I love Annabelle. She’s a realistic character, very believable. And her village is a delight.
Enjoyed the book.
A good and funny light reading mystery. The Rev. Annabelle dispenses some encouraging and practical advise, has “gut feelings” and a real serious “sweet tooth”. This is the second book of the series that I’ve read. Liked both.
In the little village of Upton St Mary there is a mystery. Who is the body found by a young lad exploring the woods and why? The Reverend Annabelle Dixon is on the case along with the local constabulary. This tells a twisted tale of long buried hate and jealousy so it is very realistic- and sad.
Quite a good read and I look forward to more of Alison Golden’s next installment.
