Although the crimes in this book were somewhat gruesome, I found it hard to put down. The story had a lot of suspense. I thought I had finally figured out “Who done it?” but was totally surprised when I was wrong. It was definitely not the butler with the candlestick in the dining room.
Another great Rizzoli and Isles tale. When the body of a murdered woman shows up in the Boston morgue, Doctor Maura Isles is shocked to see the victim looks exactly like her. DNA testing proves without a doubt that the victim was the twin sister she never knew existed. From there the tale winds along a path of tragedy and darkness to the mother …
Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander may have brought the TV version to life, but there is only one Tess Gerritsen who made it all happen. Confession, I read the first book way back when in which Rizzoli was portrayed, so it was hard for me to get into the television series because Angie Harmon, gorgeous as she is, was not Rizzoli in my mind. (Maybe …
Another intricate plot with a surprising twist at the end. I just wish Maura would stop feeling uncontrollably lustful about every handsome man she meets. Come on, she’s smarter than that. I hope she gets her libido under control in the next book!
Simply the best book I’ve read this year. A well written, taut, page-turner. Perfect.
I first became aware of Tess Gerritsen because of the Rizzoli and Isles TV series. I like the show and experience has shown me that the written story is usually better than the movie or TV version. Body Double deals with Maura’s biological family. The book version is darker than the TV version. (Spoiler alert) Someone from Maura’s biological …
Another great story in this series.
Kept me reading most of the night. Love Tess Gerritsen’s books.
I enjoy the Rizzoli and Isles books.
Love the mystery.
I really like these books by Tess Gerester
I love all of Tess Gerritson’s books.
I have watched the tv series and this is the first of the books I have read. It was very good and a quick read. It drew me in and also kept me guessing. The differences between the tv show and this are clear and so it’s differences entertained instead of irritated (which can sometimes happen when a series “looks” a certain way in your mind’s …
good mystery
Love this series and the characters. I already own several of Tess Gerritson other books and I enjoy her writing.
I am a big fan of Rizzoli and Isles! This book is really good and has a few unexpected turns along the way.
Love anything Tess Gerritsen does. I love her way of telling a story. She keeps you interested from the beginning to the end. Can’t wait for her next one and the next one. I have read several of her books in the Rizzoli & Isles series (also loved the TV show based on these characters) and will continue to read anything she writes.
As always, Gerritson, presents another Rizzoli and Isles page Turner.
Not her best but very good
Gerrtsin is always good
