Love, love, love this book! Ms. Hatfield has written yet another wonderfully satisfying sweet romance that had me sighing and swooning. As always, I loved catching up with the crew from her Baker City Brides series. I felt like I was welcomed in with a warm cup of tea to visit old friends and meet some new ones. I enjoyed catching up with each of the old friends and fell in love with the new ones. Allie is a sweet, yet strong, hardworking heroine with a not so wonderful home life that has caused her to believe she’s not worth much. Ben is a swoonworthy hero who is equally as hardworking as Allie while also maintaining a joyful spirit and zest for life. Getting to know them and watching them fall in love was an absolute pleasure. As usual with Ms. Hatfield’s books, I found myself both smiling and outright laughing out loud more than once at the antics of her lively characters. Her descriptions make the book come alive. She pulled me into Baker City and drew me out to the Jordan ranch with her words and made me feel like I was there. Not only did she write a perfectly sweet, yet sassy romance, Ms. Hatfield also threw in a couple of surprises along the way that I did not see coming. Love when an author can catch me off guard in a good way like that. I encourage you to read her note the end. It makes parts of the story even more real and quite funny as you read her note. It never fails-at the end of every one of Shanna Hatfield’s books my appetite for sweet romance has been perfectly sated, yet I am also looking forward to the next book with great anticipation. And I am always a little bit saddened to have to say goodbye to my book family until the next one comes out.
**I was provided a copy of this book by the author. All opinions in this review are my own.
I loved this book! The humor made me laugh out loud and the romance made me sigh. The town and ranch jumped off the pages and became real as I read. And when the book ended, I didn’t want to leave.
I immediately fell in love with Ben and Allie. Ben has such a pure, kind heart. He is easy going, hard working and an amazing husband. Allie is tentative and unsure to begin with, but also knows her strengths. She is so genuine and humble. I loved watching her grow in confidence and begin to understand and accept her inherent worth. The rest of the Baker City characters are back, as well. Yay!! Love them!
This is a great addition to the Baker City Brides series! It can be read as a stand alone, but something does happen that would be a bit of a spoiler for the earlier books. But whatever order you read them in, you’ll love the series!
I received a complimentary copy of the book. I have given my honest opinion.
