When will this nightmare be over? All Ellie wanted was to get through the next 36 hours working with Nash without killing him first. In the ten years she’d known him, he’d been insufferable – entitled, rich, too handsome for his own good, and talented. In fact, if she were being honest, he was as good as she was even though she had to fight tooth and nail for everything he had handed to him on a … tooth and nail for everything he had handed to him on a silver platter.
She hated him and everything his family stood for.
So why did her heart leap when he looked at her?
Could she let her guard down enough to see his true feelings for her?
You’ll love this enemies to lovers novella because we can all use to lower our defenses to let love in.

Ellie and Nashs story might be on the short side but I really enjoyed it and it was written in a way that made it seem longer than it was. I would have loved to spend more time with Ellie and Nash.

When you stop hating someone what happens?
Boardroom Benefits tells the story of Eleanor Simon (Ellie) and Nash Griffin. They went to Michigan Sate together and then interned and were hired by the same advertising company, Nelson, Thomas and Crawford, the biggest in Detroit. They have both worked to become Account Managers but instead of working together these two are more like mortal enemies. This happened 10 years prior due to a misunderstanding on the first day of their first class at MSU. It seems Ellie overhead something Nash said but he really did not mean what he was saying.
However they have to work together for one client’s new advertising project and all of the 10 years of animosity and bickering between them erupts into a torrid episode in the office late that night. A one off becomes more than that and soon they are having more fun and getting to know each other much better, thus clearing up the misunderstanding.
This is a really entertaining and funny fast-paced short story. Kate Stone has written two very engaging and believable characters in Ellie and Nash, you can just see them going back and forth at each other in a hilarious and maddening manner. I really enjoyed reading Boardroom Benefits, an enemies to lovers story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Ellie and Nash can’t stand each other all due to an overheard comment on the first day of college and a misunderstanding of said comment. When they are forced to work together, they each begin to realize their true feelings for each other, and those feelings aren’t hate. A really good story line and strong characters.

This was a great quick read. Something for a day at the beach.
Very hot and simple romance
Good short romance, sometimes quite hot, with good characters who hate each other from college and work together in the same enterprise 10 years after. Obliged to work together for a project, they discover that what was opposing them was only prejudices.

I totally love Kate Stone’s books! Boardroom Benefits is no exception. It is a quick read, but it contains everything you’re looking for. Excellent characters that are strong, confident, determined, honest, feisty, passionate, and have depth and history. There are intense emotions embroiled in their love-hate relationship that factor into twists in the story you don’t see coming. (Just another aspect of Stone that I love.) Nash, an entitled rich boy according to Ellie, is anything but. She has had to scrap & fight for everything she has, and feels he just had it handed to him. Can he get her to overcome her decade old misconception of him? Can they actually work together without it getting physical…well, physically dangerous for either of them? Both yes and no. Gotta read to understand. You won’t be disappointed!
