Caroline
Caroline’s overprotective father reaches a new extreme when he hires a bodyguard to watch over her. Caroline refuses to be controlled by her father or the strong, tough soldier her dad sent to protect her.

All Caroline wants is to live a normal life. But her father is in a high profile position that often comes with danger and life threats to. Such a threat that her father constantly has her on lock down. Sometimes she feels like she is in a prison.

Babysitting duty. Ugh. His boss wants him to be his daughter’s body guard. A huge threat has the director worried for his daughter and so he assign’s Chris with this task as he is his most trusted employee.
When Chris and Caroline first meet it is a clash of the titans battle. Caroline is being very bratty about being put on lock down with a permanent shadow and Chris finds her immature. But the attraction between these two is undeniable. But it is forbidden. A line they should not cross.
What happens when the lines blur?
This book was an action packed book full of danger, lies and sexy hot love. The characters were interesting, even though Caroline was a bit childish for her age. That got on my nerves a bit. Chris to me was a bit of a cocky meat head at first, but I really came to enjoy him as the book continued.
I really enjoyed the book in the middle and towards the end. That is when the action picked up and the danger becomes real. The story really develops and evolves after that, making this book very interesting.
Overall this book is a good read, but I didn’t like it as much as the last book Crossing the Line. It seem to be missing that same flare the last one had. But still a great read. If you enjoy danger with a hot sexy hero, then this book is up your ally. Chris is definitely a hot sexy hero. He can guard my body any day.
This is book 2 of this series and it just gets better and better!! I would recommend reading book 1, Crossing the line, but it doesn’t have to be read before. The author does such a great job at developing characters, plots and steaminess. Her words come to life right in front of your eyes. Chris and Caroline are one crazy, steamy couple you will love!!
Her heroines are over the top. They don’t let anyone run them over and always stand up for what is right. Her male character is alpha through and through and will make you have to fan yourself.
Their story is one that they’re put together through unforeseen circumstances and their relationship develops, forbidden or not. Their chemistry is off the charts and will blow you away!! A must ready by Nikki Rose!!
Book Two of the Line Series by Nikki Rose. This one is actually my favorite of the two so far, but I haven’t read the third one yet, so maybe I should wait to make my decision. Either way, Chris and Caroline make me happy.
Chris works for a government agency. After being shot during an assignment, he goes back to work and is put on an assignment to be security for his Director’s daughter. He automatically assumes she is a spoiled brat who always gets her way and he makes it his mission to drive her crazy. The instant attraction he felt for her is still in his mind as he works to protect her.
Caroline is no pushover and she is definitely one of my top heroines for any book. I love that she knows what buttons to push and just how to work her own system. Being under the thumb of an overbearing father is enough to make any girl rebel, and although Chris sees her as a spoiled brat (which she does act like at times), she is just a twenty-four year old trying to live her life. I get it.
When the attraction between them becomes so thick, you can cut it with a knife, you can’t help but wonder what kind of sparks these two will give off when they finally come together. And I will tell you what, Chris is the ultimate ALPHA. Holy hotness. Chris and Caroline create more than just sparks, setting off fireworks that could put any celebration to shame.
Because of his job, they have to keep their rendezvous a secret, but it gets to be too much for Chris and instead of talking to him like a grown up, Caroline decides to act out. Thus, the spoiled brat… and it upsets me because she puts herself in the ultimate danger. I won’t give anything away, but JEEZ MAN! Come ON!
The end left something to be desired as I felt like the father gave in to finding out about their relationship a little too easily but I love that they end up together, and I love that they are perfect for each other. Chris is the type of man that needs to be kept guessing, and Caroline is just the girl to do this for him.
This is the 2nd book in this series, and is Chris and Caroline’s story. Chris is given his next mission and that is to protect the Directors’ daughter when she is in danger. This is a well written story which is humorous, entertaining and with surprises along the way which had me hooked and intrigued throughout. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Blurring the Line by Nikki Rose is book Two in The Line Series. This is the story of Caroline and Chris. I have read the previous book which I do feel helped me to enjoy this one but I did feel you could make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Chris has been assigned to protect his bosses daughter when the family appears to be in danger. Not to happy with his new assignment it becomes worse when he starts to be her bodyguard. Caroline isn’t an easy person to guard with her attitude but his attraction to her is adding to the toughness of the job. Enjoyed their story.
I love this series. It gets better with each new addition. Blurring Lines in the second book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. In this book you’ll see old and new characters along the journey which is Chris and Caroline’s story.
Their worlds collide because of a threat and a job. Lines blur because of their chemistry. A life is saved because of their love.
One threat to Chris’ boss, Caroline’s father and a new assignment for Chris changes both of their lives forever. It was meant to be just a job. He was only suppose to be her bodyguard. But one decision, one time… changes EVERYTHING!
The Line series just keeps getting better and hotter with Blurring the Line by Nikki Rose. There are some familiar characters in this stand alone read but the stories are as individual as the heroines and heroes. With lots of action and conflict this book is a real page turner. 5-stars for Blurring the Line.
Caroline Applegate has been sheltered by an overprotective father her whole life. As an adult she craves freedom and independence but that isn’t about to happen as a threat is made towards her and her father. Director Applegate assigns one of his most trusted agents to watch and protect his daughter and keep her safe. Chris hates the idea of being a glorified babysitter even if Caroline Applegate is a gorgeous college student. The danger heats up and not just from the outside threats, but from Director Applegate finding Chris and Caroline in compromising situations. Blurring the Line between professionalism and lust, Chris can’t decide if his feelings for Caroline will distract him or make him more vigilant towards the threat against Caroline. It’s not only his job on the line but her life as well as the enemy gets closer with each kiss shared between them.
Chris has just been assigned to watch over his boss’ daughter Caroline. The last thing he wants to do is look after a rebellious spoiled princess, especially a beautiful one that starts to become a distraction. Even though Chris is very much tempted for a taste of the forbidden fruit, he knows he will never jeopardize her safety. But things take a turn for the worse when Caroline makes a rash decision that puts her life in danger.
We first meet Chris in book one in his buddy Hunter’s book, Crossing the Line. Chris takes his job seriously and has no intention of following through with his attraction to Caroline. Unfortunately his heart didn’t get the memo. This book has drama, suspense, misunderstandings, and two stubborn people finally coming to terms with their feelings for one another. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
Chris and Caroline
He is the forbidden bodyguard, she is the college student he is to protect. Oh yeah, she is also the Directors daughter.
Received this arc and am leaving my honest review.
This was a fantastic book! I loved the characters and the chemistry they shared. Chris gets stuck babysitting the Director’s daughter after a cyber attack exposes some of the secret agency’s personnel files. Caroline is impossible. She is 23 years old and a spoiled brat. But she is mighty fine to look at. Caroline just wants freedom and she feels she is on lockdown since the cyber attack. Caroline is going to make it hard for Chris to do his job…in more ways than one.
Chris was assigned to be a bodyguard to Caroline by her father, Director Applegate. This story was interesting and attention holding with threats to Caroline, kidnapping, plenty of action, and some steamy scenes. All of the characters were strong, likable, and memorable. Great read!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I LOVE CHRIS AND CAROLINE
So, after reading CROSSING THE LINE, I was already in like with Chris…and getting his book is such a treat…..
Agent Chris Andrews has been given his next mission….His mission is to protect 24/7 The Director’s daughter due to a recent threat ….College student, Caroline Applegate, is the overprotected, rebellious daughter of Director Applegate….and she doesn’t make Chris’s “babysitting gig” easy…..Chris and Caroline don’t immediately like each other, but once the fuse is lit, they explode…and Chris’s “babysitting gig” turns to much more…..One problem….Chris could lose his career if The Director discovers that Chris has “Blurred the Line” between his personal and professional lives……
Although both books can be read as stand-alones, BLURRING THE LINE is a really good sequel to CROSSING THE LINE…..
Caroline, sweet yet pain in the butt bratty daughter of Director Applegate. Agent Chris Andrews his bosses daughters hot bodyguard.Mix them up with some mutual dislike of one another, undeniable sexual attraction, action packed chaos and BOOM an amazingly hot and sexy romance that leaves you wanting more!Witty and funny!Full of laughs and love and anticipation that will keep you on the edge of your seat!I hadn’t read book 1 when i read this one..but after reading this i will absolutely be reading more by nikki rose!!5 stars!i loved it!!
Caroline is such a strong, independent, little brat, she feels like she is being punished for her dad having a high paying official job. Chris is sent in to protect her, a body guard, and he is exactly what she needs. These two, holy… I loved the chemistry they had right from the beginning. Friends to lovers has to be my favorite type of book, add in some serious who did it and a lot of action and this book has it all. Defs a must read.
This was a first for me by this author. Definite page turner. Hunter and Addy’s story is an action packed mysterious read with plenty of twists and turns. Their chemistry is nothing but steamy. I look forward to reading the next one in this series.
And she does it again! Nikki Rose delivered an amazing debut novel with Crossing the Line, but kicked it up a notch with Blurring the Line.
I absolutely love Chris and Caroline. Caroline is the kind of heroine I love to read about, strong, independent, doesn’t take things sitting down. Chris doesn’t want the assignment he is given guarding Caroline, he’s a bit of an assshole. And let’s be honest I loved it.
The chemistry and attraction between these two is enough to keep anyone reading this book. Rose does an absolute perfect job with the buildup of their relationship. The tension between Chris and Caroline just jumps off the pages, and had me on the edge of my seat. The secret relationship is always hot, until someone get mad and things happen.
All in all I thought Blurring the lines was a fantastic read. I loved the characters, and plot.
Chris has been tasked with guarding his boss’ bratty adult daughter, Caroline. It is a constant fight with himself to keep his hands off her and a fight with her to keep her safe. And the girl just never learns, between her need to rebel, her loser boyfriend, and wanting Chris, she is a mess. Good story.
