The road to hell is paved with good intentions. What should’ve been a simple fact-finding visit changed in the blink of an eye. I’m a patriot. A CIA officer. A master at manipulating the double agent schemes. The straight and narrow path I set out on turned into a hundred winding roads, all leading to the same destination: I’m now aiding and abetting a foreign spy. Kira Petrov stole something from …
Kira Petrov stole something from me the moment we met—my breath, my heart, my allegiance. If I’m caught, I’ll be tried as a traitor. But there’s more to her story than anyone knows, and time is not on our side.
The only way out this tangled mess is to march straight through it.
Staying between the imaginary lines on a map is easy when the boundaries are clearly defined.
It’s that blurred line in real life that trips up the best of us.

This is book 2 in the Crossing Lines series but it can be read as a stand alone. While reading the first book may help with a little background for some of the supporting characters it is not required as the author does fill in those blanks. For the first two-thirds of the book, the author had me not wanting to put the book down. The suspense as well as the romance were all there and keep me on the edge of my seat. I basically read it straight in one day. I enjoyed the interaction of all the characters and their relationships as well as catching up with past characters. There were even several twists that I thought I saw coming but were wrong, so that just makes things even better for me when I don’t figure them out. Then things changed in the story slightly and it really felt as if the author became rushed or just really forgot what was happening from one chapter to the next. Yes, she did cover things in the last chapter prior to the epilogue. This ended up being another issue as the last chapter really should have been labeled epilogue and the epilogue a preview of the next book in the series. I unfortantanly am unable to give it the five star rating that the book can clearly have because of the choppy and rushed ending. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Having read the first one in this series was excited to read this one. It just so happened it went beyond my expectations and was filled with danger, suspense, curiosity and smoldering steam. Kira and Silas gives a full bodied read with them having their chemistry slowly building. No predictability here with along with the suspense you become curious on how this will all come to a head. When they are together the read becomes larger thanks to their personalities. We are given one that will certainly leave you with no doubt who can carry a reader into their worlds.
My newest favorite book by A.D Justice. Blurred Line is a must read romantic suspense. A story that you can’t help but fall in love with. Phenomenal characters, romance that will make you swoon, a story that will have you flipping the pages to see how it ends.
Silas Steele and Kira Petrov are a match that shouldn’t be made. Silas is CIA and Kira is a Russian spy. These two are not meant to be, but as fate would have it, there is such a pull between the two. And the sparks fly and lines are crossed. A trust is built, a trust is broken but once the truth comes out love wins.
We get to read about the old Steele Security Gang and their families as they help these two.
We get a book that is addicting and one that will make your heart full.
Highly recommended.
An Epic Read!
I’ve bee a fan of AD Justice’s books for a long time and her Steele Security series has been at the top of my favorites list for years, especially Wicked Ties. However, Blurred Line may have just jumped to the top of my favorites list, sorry, Bull. Silas and Kira’s story is the perfect blend of emotion, espionage, and family (or friends you choose as family). This series is a spin-off of Ms. Justice’s Steele series, so many of the characters are old friends, giving the reader an update on all the couples in the previous books.
I love romantic suspense books and it’s been a while since I’ve read one as well-crafted as Blurred Line. Ms. Justice has a knack for blindsiding her poor alphas with a woman who is every bit their equal and giving the men a run for their money when they weren’t expecting it. Her characters are well-developed and her plot is tight and laced with humorous banter.
Opposites attract and you can’t be much more opposite than a Russian spy and a CIA operative. Pulled into a situation that neither of them can predict or control, the chemistry between Silas and Kira adds another complication to what could blow up into an international incident and cost both of them their lives. The sizzling sexual tension between the couple practically leaps off the page, which adds to an already tense storyline and pulling the reader into the story and holding them at the edge of their e-reader. So many things happen in this book and I refuse to spoil a single one. Suffice it to say, Silas got more than he bargained for and things he didn’t even realize he wanted. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Oh my goodness!! Silas is one rough and tough alpha male. But I loved getting to see his softer side too. And Kira is a really tough chick. I loved their chemistry together, very steamy! The storyline for this one kept me page turning. It reads like a fantastic action movie! And I really loved reuniting with the whole gang.
Blurred Lines is the second book in the Crossing Lines Series. Can be read as a standalone. We finally get Silas story!! I enjoyed the story it kept me intrigued, and guessing from the start to the end. Silas works for the CIA and does things by the book, but his latest assignment might just make him blur the lines to keep his Russian Spy Kira alive. I liked how the past characters are involved in eachother’s stories. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Gosh, I cant begin to imagine how hard it would be to be taken from your family at a young age with your twin forced into a lifestyle you have no say in what so ever and then have the one and only person you have left taken from you as well. Suspense and intrigue flow through this story, more than one threat has Kira surrounded and most of her choice taken yet again, until clues start get figured out and a few twists and turns show things are not what is thought. Exciting and well written with a fast flow and story to really get stuck into, characters to love. I love how this series has intertwined and followed on from a previous series with characters combining to help each other and go forward with their futures. Another great read.
A.D never disappoints.
This was one hell of a book. It was full of suspense, mystery, thrill, lust, passion and all things romance. A romance so intense that’ll have you devouring this beauty in hours!
As Ms. Justice does, she throws the expected out of the picture and gives you something that’ll blow you mind and Silas Steele and Kira Petrov will do just that.
This book starts off with twins Kira and Mira who were taken from parents at a young age and placed and educated to be Russian Spies. After the twins were separated, Kira fears that her sister is in danger and if she doesn’t do everything she is told to do, then she will be killed, she has no idea that she is being watched.
Silas Steele is a CIA agent who at first I had a hard time understanding, and understanding the relationship he has with the twin’s father. After promising their father that he would find them and make sure they were safe. He’s been watching Kira for some time now..
After Kira and Silas meet.. Wow.. These two were intense from the moment they met. Insanely intense. The chemistry between the two was enough to melt my kindle. As the book progressed, the plot got thicker for these two. Both struggling to trust one another, yet they couldn’t help but be drawn to each other.
So much happens in this book, and it had my head spinning, and I loved it. It was full of the unexpected, plot twists and turns that I did not see coming and after Kira and Silas met, I just couldn’t get enough. I didn’t put it down.
Be prepared for one hell of a ride!
5 Stars
This is another excellent read from A.D. Justice. I loved the chemistry between Kira and Silas, hot hot hot. This was a well written story, with lots of different emotions involved. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This book wasn’t like the Steele Security series. Steele Security books were hilarious and very steamy. This book lacked a lot of those good qualities. It was a good read; however I found myself reading other books while reading this one.
Oh the evil genius that is AD Justice!! She has struck again in bringing us Silas and Kira. This is book two of the Crossing Lines series however you can read this as a standalone but in all honesty if you haven’t read every single book by this author you are seriously missing out. My introduction to this author was the Steele Security series, Wicked Games to be exact and Noah (the hero in it) just so happen to be the brother of Silas. So you can imagine I have been anxiously waiting for Silas to have his book for quite some time. Let me tell you it was worth the wait. I don’t know how this author does it, but her books get better and better with each one. This book was a page turner that caused me to get no sleep because I simply couldn’t put it down until I hit the end. And when I got there I just wanted to reread it again I was so engrossed in these characters’ lives. Always original, with twists you do not see coming, some hot and steaminess, some mystery, and even some humor that will have you in tears from laughing, this author just knows how to hit all the right spots!!! Can’t wait to get the next one in this series!!
Review by Tabitha
Spies! CIA agents and coerced Russian sleeper agents and KGB thugs, the Russian mob, the Steele Security team all interwoven into a wonderfully twisty suspense-thriller romance. The serious tone is set right from the start when Silas Steele visits the Moscow Kremlin complex for a surprise meeting with a long time contact to inquire about his family. The description of the political climate and danger just walking down the street behind the iron curtain had me feeling more than a bit anxious. Silas navigates the treacherous visit with skill and ease as a career CIA operative. That’s just the first of many scenes that got my blood pumping and the pages turning as story unfolds. There are so many twists and turns, it’s complex and near impossible to describe but it all makes sense as your weaving your way through right along with Silas and Kira.
Blurred Line is the second in the Crossing Lines series told from the dual pov of Silas and Kira. This book stands on its own within in a universe that’s been built over the previous Steele Security series and the first book in in this series, Fine Line. I’ve read them all and enjoyed them, Silas has made appearances in those books but we’re really getting to know him here in his book. The other Steele guys and spouses and children and close family friends make appearances in this book and show Silas as the big goofy Uncle that I was happy to see. He is a very serious guy in his normal daily job, but he’s been shaken by a chance meeting with Kira’s twin Mira that leads him down a path that may cost him everything if he’s not extremely careful. Kira is his lightening bolt and it’s wonderful to be in his head as they fall in love while navigating seemingly impossible waters. There is a very real and serious topical element that is handled with raw transparency that breaks my heart and brings me just that much deeper into the heart of the story.
This book is so much more than a romance novel. I’ve been thinking about it a lot since finishing, there are so many twists to keep me going over it again and again.
4.5 stars
Silas and Kira’s story can be read as a standalone. But storylines cross the books in this series.
I absolutely loved Blurred Line. Hook, line, and sinker, Angel had me from the Prologue. Her writing is fantastic, witty, and suspenseful.
Silas and Kira have hot chemistry and great banter.
Liz makes a LOL appearance. I love that woman!
I can’t wait for more of these characters.
A.D. gives us yet another “can’t put down” book! The second in her Crossing Lines series is action packed and full of unexpected plot twists. Absolutely loved it!
Blurred Lines is book two in the Crossing Lines series. It can be read as a standalone but I suggest you read book one first, believe me it’s an added bonus. Silas is a CIA agent searching for Kira a Russian spy but everything gets complicated fast. This is an action packed, intense story filled with danger, mystery, suspense, unexpected twists, humor and steam. A great addition to the Crossing Line series with interesting characters that have off the charts hot chemistry.
I love Angel Justice. She always writes such wonderful entertaining books. Blurred line is another page-turner. I loved it!
Blurred Lines is book 2 in the Crossing Lines series but can be read as a standalone novel but reading book 1 can help with understanding the back story.
Silas, a CIA agent, falls hard for a Kira, a woman who he should never have wanted, a Russian spy. Their chemistry was immediate and palpable. Kira and Silas seem to have been made for each other, despite also being natural should be enemies. One of my favorite parts of this book is Kira’s equality to Silas. She can match him stroke for stroke in just about anything.
This book was a great romantic suspense novel. There are so many twists and turns that take you through Silas and Kira’s story. The evolution of the relationship was crafted so well by A.D. Justice that I couldn’t put it down.
I would recommend this book to anyone.
I loved it! Kira and Mira, Nick and Savannah, the Steele Security boys (I have yet to read this series, but you bet I will be soon!), Silas…… oh Silas. So much mystery and suspense. What’s not to love!
I have been a fan of A.D. Justice books since I read the Steele Security series awhile ago. Blurred Line is a spin off from that series but still connects to those characters. Silas Steele is a dedicated CIA officer. He has contacts all over the world but his Russian contact needs a favor from him. Find his twin daughters that were taken from him as children and have been working for the Russian government as undercover agents for the last 20 years. Well he has finally come across Kira Petrova and neither trusts the other but they soon come to realize that they have many important things in common. One is keeping Kira’s sister Mira safely hidden and the other is catching the head of a human trafficking ring. Silas and Kira may not trust each other but that doesn’t stop the attraction that simmers between them. This book is the perfect romantic suspense story. There’s action, drama, angst, laughs, and intrigue. I cannot say more about the story without giving it away but I will say that it stands alone, it’s written from dual POV and I recommend it as well as Fine Line and the rest of the Steele Security series.
This is the second book in the Crossing Lines series. It can be read as a standalone and has some crossover characters. This is a suspenseful romance about about Russian & American spies, who may or may not have a common cause. I love the whole CIA/KGB/GRU aspect because you never know who’s lying, or what agenda they have. Silas is a seasoned CIA operative who is “helping an asset” for his own gain. Kira has a sad history, but she’s a feisty, committed woman whose morals haven’t been completely compromised by her work. Together, their chemistry is pretty hot. I enjoyed the story, which had a slower pace in the first half but was a bit of a nail biter for me in the second half. Looking forward to Hard Lines, the prequel of which was included in my copy.
I received a copy of this book. My honest review is voluntarily provided.
