You can design a perfect life, then a woman comes along and messes it all up!Prescott Chance is the go-to architect for the wealthy and famous, which has made him more wealthy and famous than he’s ever wanted to be. He turns down more commissions than he accepts and is extremely private. Holly Legere is barely making ends meet between rent and student loans. As an assistant to Alistair Rupert, … Rupert, the notoriously difficult industrialist, she works night and day for slave wages, hanging on in hopes of a promised promotion in his huge organization. When Alistair Rupert’s wife decides she wants a Prescott Chance designed house, and Prescott turns her down, it’s Holly’s job to make the choosy architect change his mind. And Holly is a very determined woman. In this modern romantic comedy, she’ll go to any lengths to get him to design her boss a house, including pulling in his huge family for support. This is the third book in the Take a Chance series, though the books stand alone.

Sweet, easy read. I got caught up in it and will be reading more by this author.
BLUEPRINT FOR A KISS is a standalone read with a HEA. This series is about a big family. Some of the kids are biological and some adopted. The kids don’t know which is which. I loved this series. Every kid now an adult, has a different story. They are different but they all fit in this huge family. This son is an architect. He is quite successful and in demand by those that want one of his houses.
All the stories are fun, great romances, lots of interaction with the big family. All the books are great reads and you will love this family. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 11/10/18
This whole series is something nice to listen to on a cold, snowy day. Nancy Warren’s romance books are always a welcome read or listen. I’m not that into romance books but these books are just fine. You don’t have to listen to or reads very graphic sex scenes and i like that. This book is a nice easy listen. It seemed like i just started and it was already over. This book is a quick and easy read. I recommend this book for you romance lovers.
Full disclosure: I love Nancy Warren’s Take A Chance series! Blueprint for a Kiss is book #3 in this delightful series. Prescott Chance is a highly successful and wealthy architect to the rich and famous, based in San Francisco. He is highly sought after, but also very selective in the projects he accepts. He is a man of order… everything by design… including his project selection, and even his personal life. He is so far removed from the gleeful chaos of his parents’ home, full of disorder, and joy, and love, and his huge family.
Holly Legere has an MBA, but she is stuck in an unthankful job as the personal assistant to a very rich, and very demanding, arrogant jerk… who is also a very successful business tycoon, with a gold-digging wife. Holly struggles daily, 24/7, to pacify her boss… and to keep her finances and her life afloat. Insert her boss’ next unreasonable demand: Gain Prescott Chance’s agreement to design a home for him and his gold-digging wife. Afterall, the architect had just refused the gold-digging wife’s design request.
What ensues is the struggle, sometime testy, sometime comical between Holly and Prescott. Holly even enlists the help of Prescott’s crazy family. Will Prescott submit, and design the tycoon’s next home? Is there more than a business relationship developing? Will Prescott and Holly find a point from which they can be together? A point from which their joint future will be happy and loving?
Blueprint for a Kiss is another wonderful window into the Chance family. Give yourself a treat… read this story, maybe even multiple times. When I’m feeling low, I grab this or another Take A Chance book.
I read all six books in the Take a Chance series in quick succession, so this is a blanket review for the series:
Firstly, Nancy Warren always manages to write characters who are relatable, quirky, individual and likeable. Secondly, she has an innate ability to develop those characters just enough and in just the right ways for us to become totally invested in the outcome of their stories.
This collection of books can be read as stand-alone but is so much more rewarding if read in order. They are sweet, romantic, a little bit steamy and every so difficult to put down. I enjoyed every last one and was so disappointed when I read the last sentence of the last book. Straight to the top of my favourite reads this year!
Quite Prescott Changes
Holly works her butt off for a boss who thinks he she be able to reach her 24/7. Now she has to get Prescott Chance to design a house for her boss after the guy said no. But the two of them strike up a bargain and it works for them more ways than one.
Blueprint for a Kiss is the third book in the Take a Chance series. Like the first two books, this one is a light read with engaging characters. There is minimal drama, but enough tension to keep things moving. This one felt a little disjointed to me. Strictly speaking, you don’t have to read the other books in this series to enjoy each one. However, they do have recurring characters, since they are all about the Chance siblings, and they are more enjoyable if you do read them in order.
Holly is exhausted. She’s got so many balls in the air and has been juggling furiously to keep things going. She’s at an egomaniac’s beck and call 24/7/365. Life is not as it should be. Now, Alistair Rupert has assigned her the impossible and it may just break her. She’s got to get creative…..
Prescott Chance is a world renown architect. His designs are coveted by the rich and famous all over the world. He doesn’t take on a project for the money. Nope, he does it only, and if, the vision appears to him. Or, the land speaks to him. Or, whatever. Alistair Rupert’s wife wants one of his architectural designs and she won’t settle for anything less. Prescott isn’t having anything to do with it. Or with her. And the thing about Prescott? He never, never, ever changes his mind.
This is a fun, quick, and cute story. It’s entertaining and easy to read. If you’re looking for a light read that still has a bit of substance you should check out Blueprint of a Kiss.
Best book this month. Strong lead in followed by many paths the story could have gone. Story kept moving, held my interest and sure didn’t know how it would end. very entertaining.
Good book. Thoroughly enjoyed the dynamics of 2 very contrasting people and their unexpected love
You start out feeling bad for the main character, as she has a horrible boss, with unattainable expectations…and haven’t we all been there?!? But the story evolves into so much more. Great characters and original storyline. Great read!
good
I really loved this book and also thought the ending was perfect.
Better than most of this genre
Prescott is an exceptional hero because of his respect for the environment and limited use of technology as opposite as Holly
Wonderful story! The perfect book for an afternoon spent distressing.
Loved this witty, entertaining story about two quirky, unlikely characters who were made for each other. Not often a book makes me laugh out loud, but this one did. Good, relaxing read. Highly recommend.
I read all seven books in this series in seven days. I could not put them down. I loved how sweet they were and how even though each book could stand on its own she tied all of the characters together. I was so disappointed the series came to an end. I got so involved with the Chance family. I long for a book eight!!!
I loved these characters and their stories. I really got caught up in it. A very good read.
Loved it.
I really enjoyed this book.
