Every being has a true name, a name that must be held close with magic. To be born without magic means to lose one’s name, and a person without a name can’t survive: their soul splinters apart, piece by piece, until they die. The only salvation is servitude, hoping that a kind person will bestow a name and keep the Nameless soul in one piece—at the cost of freedom. How many names has he had now? … had now? Far too many to remember. His new saviors are his only hope. They give him a name and a home, but navigating a household where he needs to please two people instead of one is far more complicated than he expected. He knows how to look pretty and how to be enticing—but he doesn’t know how to follow their contradictory orders and keep them both appeased.
He doesn’t know how to keep the jealousy from eating at him as he watches these two men who are so in love. All he can do is mold himself to fit their ideals for the smallest scraps of affection.
If he doesn’t figure it out fast, he’ll die the same agonizing death that befalls any Nameless who is cast free for too long.

This book is not for everyone. Read the warnings and take heed.
This book was dark, twisted, and complicated. There were moments of sweetness and tenderness, and there were moments of anguish and fear. Blue Storm is a magicless slave in a world where he cannot survive without being dependent on others who have magic. From the moment Blue Storm was born, he was destined for a life that was unfair and cruel. His owners, Andre and Julian, become his world, but they also become his tormentors. It’s a dark and disturbing book, but I loved it. I also love dark stories and kinky sex. The sex is this book was fantastic – it was very heavy on the D/s, poly, and other kinky, delicious elements.
Overall Rating: 5 Stars. I loved everything about this book. The writing was wonderful and the worldbuilding was incredible. The characters were intriguing and interesting. The sex was hot and intense. This book was perfect for me and I adored it.
In Blue Storm his head he can’t win. No one will ever keep him. Especially two guys who are so into each other and love each other hard. Nothing he’ll ever do will be enough.
He is plotting to find a way one of them want to keep him. Without a name he is nothing.
He desperately tries to find a way they will like him, but it seems every time he does something wrong, he doesn’t know why he is never enough for his Masters.
He is jealous, annoyed and irritated with André and Julien so affectionate to each other.
He’d mope and grumble inside and hated it how wrong he anticipated every time. He hated not knowing. How is it possible for the Masters to be the worse and the best.
One thing he knows for sure. He will do whatever they expect him to do, he could be whatever they want him to be, he just wants to be named.
Woww this was quite a different read. A lot of impressive magic and spells. It had an excellent plot and I just couldn’t put it down. It was so captivating and had a wonderful original content. I didn’t know what the expect and what the next step would be.
At times my heart hurt for Blue. The uncertainty, the unpredictability, the ever unfulfillable longing, and yearning. On the other side, he could be annoying and very manipulative.
The dynamic between Storm and André and Storm and Julien is different and for Storm very confusing.
It’s all about manipulation, trust, fairness, doing right and being loved.
All three men beautifully flawed, kind of unpredictable and somewhat unstable. There is a lot of heavy sexual activity.
An amazingly written extraordinary story. I’m not sure how to feel about the end. In the perspective of the story is a proper one.
The whole story is very consistently written, I think that’s the strength of it.
3.5 rounded up
If you enjoy the dark side of erotica, this book will probably peek your interest.
This is an interesting story. I cannot really label it as a romance, although there are some romantic encounters between two of the MCs. The characters are developed throughout the story, but there is little to no back story for anyone besides Blue Storm, and that is fragmented memories at best.
The setting of this book is a world in which magic is the norm, but occasionally, a human is born without any magic: a nameless. These beings cannot exist without the magical aid of a master giving them a name, and constantly replenishing the magic used to hold the nameless together, creating a virtual slave.
Julian and André are in a committed relationship and decide to get their own nameless together to supplement Julian’s needs and André’s curiosity. They cannot agree upon a name, so they compromise with André’s Blue and Julian’s Storm.
Blue Storm is desperate to keep his name, so he strives to make himself invaluable to his masters. He decides he will try to ingratiate himself with one master, while avoiding attachment to the one he doesn’t understand.
Some of the acts that Blue Storm are subjected to, although he does not say no, are definitely dub-con. His chosen master is petty and a bit sadistic, and encourages many harmful situations, while the other tries to protect their slave. Blue Storm soon realizes his mistake, and his manipulative side comes to the fore.
When things start to unravel, Blue Storm realizes what has to be done. However, when his masters finally agree to his wishes, there are unforeseen consequences to their actions. In the end, I felt that the three MCs got what they deserved, even if it was a twist to the story I had not anticipated, although I should have. I suppose it would be considered a HEA.
Happy reading!
* I received an ARC of this book and I am leaving my honest review. *
To be quite honestly, I did find this book rather intriguing with slightly dark undertones. The story-line & plot is interesting & quite well-written with unusual characters that are trying to find their niche in life.
There is: twists & turns, drama, magic, slavery, insecurities, misunderstandings, punishment, ultimatums, submission, resentment, confrontations, loneliness, potions, unwilling truth, pity, spankings, verbal conflict, confusion, heartache, assault, jealousy, renaming, hope, happiness & a interesting epilogue.
